That gnarly bit looked like a beautiful little stretch of trail. That whole area looks great. I don't have this particular unit, but I did add a tankless water heater to the kit for the longer trips. Nothing like a hot shower to rejuvenate the soul after a couple of dusty days on the trail. You're going to love it. And that little piece you weren't sure about clips to the handle to hold the shower head for use with a wash basin, or for whenever you need both hands free.
You took on that terrain as if you tackle it on a normal basis! I love terrain like that because it almost guarantees fewer crowds at the destination. That water heater is next level! Awesome video, Michael! See you on the trails!
Great video as usual. Im surprised I didnt have to break out my detective skills to try and find out where you went like usual. Im from Sacramento as well, hopefully one day our paths will cross.
Great video, beautiful scenery. There are some great places in Nevada. I live in Grass Valley, I’m a prospector and metal detectorist so I’m always looking for geology that leads to the possibilities of gold. I’ve got a lifted and built 88 Cherokee but I don’t know if I would go all that way by my self however.
@@weshawkins7165 I had a Cherokee back in the 80’s. Loved that straight six engine! And yes I don’t think I will do the north route alone again. South route you would be fine. Thanks for watching!
We have the BougeRV shower. Only issue I have had is if you run it too low a flow it overheat and shuts off. But it works great other than that. Wish it was more metal than plastic especially the shower head. But we took ours on the rubicon this last summer & it is great to have a warm shower
Great video Mike! What was the weather like during the day? It looked like you had the whole place to yourself even though you said there were some people there.
The weather was near perfect! Mid 70’s during the day and a slight breeze at times. There were two other campers there both at the extreme north and south ends of the lake so it was like I was almost alone. Thanks for watching!
Nice video Mike. How was the south exit back to civilization compared to the north entrance you took into the reservoirs? I've read slower, but easier. How long did it take you to get back to the highway?
South route is much easier, highly recommend that way in if you are by yourself or have non-lifted rig. Two hours from the highway I think. Thanks for watching!
@@flyfisher530 Tks. That would be me on both counts. I've thought that the S way in and out must be much easier. After all, the NV NDOW comes in periodically and stocks. Don't think they have 4-wheel, rock climbing tanker trucks. 🤔
I know! Yes I definitely need to get more confidence but geez I was four hours in and was alone! I did not want to break anything in that remote section of Nevada but I definitely need to build more confidence with a very capable rig. Thanks for watching!
@@flyfisher530 time in the seat in those situations is the way, and nothing I saw would break your rig provided it’s properly maintained which from what I’ve seen you do a great job of. And your very right on being concerned about those things when your that far out by yourself. But that concern will help keep you from getting in real trouble! Great adventure bud! Hope to run into you on a river someday! 😊
Also hopefully they also have the shutoff valve to where if the temp gets too high it cuts off the propane. Kakadu shuts off at 123F. Nonetheless great video Mike. And I agree, Nevada doesn’t get the rep of say like some of the other states.
Very nice Movie! Thanks for sharing, Mike!
Thank you it will be one of my favorite trips for sure! 👍

Osmo Pocket 3. Thanks for watching! 👍
Mike can you do a video or add to one a gear/set up of the jeep?
I do have a walk around video but need to do an update! Thanks for watching! 🙏
You got a Rubicon boss, Lock both in and crawl you’ll walk right over no problem
