I love how Rihanna never changed who she was to fit people’s perception of who they wanted her to be, she firmly remained true to who she is and was fearless, outspoken and bold. Most of the conflicts and clap backs she had with media outlets and people was due to them personally attacking her and anyone would naturally be inclined to defend themselves.

I don’t think it was ever beef tbh. It was healthy competition because they both have similar camps, aka Jay Z. In the Talk that Talk documentary Beyonce and Jay even go into the studio to help Rih choose her songs for that album. I genuinely think they were pitted against one another but respected each other too much to let it get that big. Because it could’ve went there if they didn’t respect each other.
I heard that Bey and Jay purposely leaked one one Rih’s albums on Tidal. They said Bey was jealous of Rih’s success at the time.
