Dude, unbreakable is SSOOOO underrated, I use it with a couple of golden guns, because ALL of my clan mates are hunters, and I’m able to make somewhere between 400-600 orbs per gm depending on the gm, basically every single champion or high health boss has a nighthawk in their face the second it spawns, and the fact they just nerfed the best thing about that aspect is annoying
it likely was not intentional, they left part of its buggy functionality try the Velo Baton with the unbreakable and im sure youll be making the same orb amounts, i run pris hunter in gms and make about 300 with just the gl
@ I do use velocity with it, but you can generate 20ish orbs per grenade with a very high uptime, as well as giving you half your super every cast, now it’s gonna go down to about 4 or 5 orbs per cast
Man, as a titan main I really feel like every patch bungie just goes "take their socks" like I understand it does a ton of damage but it feels like titan ain't got a lot going for it and this makes that worse
Yeah, berserker is a very strong fall back, especially for me with navigator.😊 But a 25% overall consecration damage nerf won't dethrone consecration. Especially because you can just spam them in transcendence. And amplified getting more defensive.
That Hunter Aspect has a lot of interesting exotic synergy so it'll be interesting to see it in the field. Seems like fantastic team support. Although having to give up Vanishing Step or Trapper's Ambush on most set ups might be frustrating if you want to keep Stylish uptime consistent. Arc buffs sound great, they only took 8 months to fix Ascension synergies and almost 2 years for the Strand one. I'm optimistic for the state of the game in Heresy I think.
Kinda wish theyd let ascension work with winters shroud too, but you cant have everything i suppose. Doesnt really matter to me anyway, my ascension build is a pure arc build anyway
I said it in Twitch chat but I want to reiterate and elaborate: I don't the consecration nerf is as impactful as it appears on first glance; it's more like a rework since the ignition damage isn't being changed. After the change, a Titan might not be able to kill a bunch of red bars with just the first heatwave and save half a melee charge and will instead be more consistent when a bunch of red bars group up near a bigger target since the first heat wave would be less likely to kill an therefore cause more ignitions with the second wave.
@@ravecsucks6192You do realise consecration is so busted you can literally out-damage everyone at the Servitor boss fight in Vespers Host without even using a super. I’m pretty sure you’ll be alright with a couple of nerfs.
@TheRealDoIMegatron you do realise the amount of risk you're taking there, how that's a one off, and how its literally the only thing going for prismatic rightt? Stop acting like consec isn't the literal only thing holding this class together in endgame content. You can't pigeonhole a class into being full on melee, high risk high reward and then take away all the reward.
@@ravecsucks6192 might be a skill issue on your part. I’ve used an unbreakable build with a Bear and Star Eater combo and it’s pretty strong for GMs. Doesn’t carry like titan mains love with Consecration but I still easily outperformed hunters and warlocks. Also Thundercrash with Fallen Star is literally top tier dps for almost any boss that doesn’t float outside the map. Only reason titan mains think Consecration is the only thing good is because how extremely busted it is compared to everything else Prismatic has to offer.
More invisibility for hunters is cool but the new aspects random choice of enemy to mark seems very...deliberate. Shadowshot still takes you out of orbit. Guess its a feature, not a bug.
If the next dungeon takes as long just to get a small damage phase I'm quitting for real. I already can't do raids because I play with my wife and nobody else. We've been able to duo every dungeon except the end of that one. I think we could, but it takes SO LONG I just have no interest. Every single thing that attracted me to this game has been taken away slowly since the abortion that was lightfall. I hope that top 1% is having fun though, hopefully them feeling "challenged" makes up for the drop off in players.
I used to run omni so that i could do team wide invisibility. The aspect sounds like a nice alternative. I wonder if it'll allow for two hunters to build off each other, one specking into invis spam, and the other using coming out of invisibility to spread debufs on enemies.
I think I might actually be okay with the consecration nerf. Alot of times lower tier enemies die from the first wave when I would actually prefer them to survive so the second wave ignites them. Might actually net even more ignitions on prismatic and make chaining significantly easier on solar. Probably lose alot of upfront damage on single target but you'll gain more area of effect damage through more ignitions happening in high mob density environments. I have this same philosophy when it comes to dawn chorus and it's the main reason I don't use it anymore even though I like it's function and ornament, alot of times enemies die to the scorch damage and you lose out on potential ignitions and ignition chaining.
If you are dealing with a bunch of trash ads, you could kill using only the 1st wave, which uses half a melee charge, which means you could use 6 melees back to back.
@lemmingskmt I tend to avoid doing half consecration slams because I only do master and grandmaster content so half health red bars not igniting and netting collaterals tends to be annoying and kind of a nuisance in my case
the community called consecration titan the worst simply because of the raid numbers, once everyone played the rest of the game they realized it was just as broken as the twab theorists said and then now nerf calls were made. i love d2 community
The problem was never that consecration titan was bad. The problem has ALWAYS been that Consecration Titan is literally the only good prismatic Titan build there is and it's straight up not very fun or all that engaging. I get Consecrate is nuts, but let's not revise history.
A lot of people actually used Titan on raid race, it’s just that the meta for the witness fight was celestial hunter with still hunt so people just switched to hunter for the dps.
@@JustAJauneArc Consecration was very blatantly overpowered compared to the rest of the kit. It should get a nerf, but only AFTER they buff or rework other stuff to supplement the consecration build being less effective. Maybe we will get something 3 years from now.
I agree with your take. Nerfing consencration makes sense and must occur. But doing so before reworking things makes prismatic titan outright worse than the other two classes, and worse than some solar and strand titan for endgame content in general.
Warlocks and hunters have so many tools, yet now titans again going back to banner of war or switching classes. They keep trying to buff void, unless they get original weapons of light I ain't using that class. Guess striker titan or banner of war main.
Nah, people have zero reading comprehension it seems, the WAVE portion of Consecration is being nerfed, not the ignition portion which is where most of the damage comes from. It will still be really good, most likely still the best melee build in the game by far. Calm down and realise that it was unrealistic for Bungie to let something so out of band stay in the game. I’m honestly surprised that they didn’t nerf it further to be honest.
Hunters getting a void aspect makes sense since they just got an arc one with final shape like titans got void and warlocks solar. Now we just need solar for Hunter and Titan and void for warlock
Honestly I don't see anyone talking about how Bolt Charges provide melee energy when obtained, which could allow for builds like Point Contact or depending on how much energy they provide (If anything like the elemental pickups then that could be nutty), you could start running Synthos/Ballistic Slam for baby Tcrash spam (cause both want you to dive into a group of enemies. So stacking Knockout's 50% Melee Damage buff and Synthoceps's 165% which could make it almost x4 stronger than your base BSlam) Which could be fun to run since if Bolt Charges and Ionic Traces can both provide melee benefits and could be built around to get both (you could also go all in with Juggernaut and help build up bolt charges that way too.) Tl;dr Bolt Charges should hopefully make Striker just a little bit nuttier
They missed a line from the known issues list: Titans exist. Luckily since they took our only toy, broke it in half and gave us the small half, they know titans won't exist for much longer.
1:10 just like last time with Vesper's Host, you don't have to wait for 48 hours, the Normal difficulty will be up as soon as the first team clears the dungeon on Contest mode.
Consecration on PRISMATIC did need a nerf, it did, simple as that, just like Transcendence imo also needs nerfs in general But to also extend that nerf to poor Sunbreaker? Come on man, that's not fair balancing that's just collateral damage via not knowing your own game Glad they're finally buffing Juggernaut holy shit that aspect has been so trash ever since it came out, and Ballistic Slam getting verb synergy is very welcome Does Bungie even have dedicated class players that know the true ins and outs of each class? Hire me as the Titan one I assure u no stone will be left unturned💀
For Arc/Prismatic warlock, you can easily get amplified from orbs of power, so removing the instant on cast may not be that big of a change, but I had the same initial reaction.
but they're changing facet of purpose to grant bolt charges instead of granting amplified. aside from getaway artist, not sure how you get amplified on prismatic warlocks then.
Good point. We might be stuck with only awakening, where rapid final blows with ark can make ionic traces. Hopefully those will make us amplified like on pure arc. You can always get four kills with arc damage as well, that should still make you amplified.
We've been here before crayon connoisseurs. This titan on auto pilot time has come to an end. Like release hammers, one eyed mask, that solar helmet, hoil with well almost everything. Strand banner of war. Just to be replaced by the next power creep titan meta.
Absolutely time to bring back the Warlock Coldheart build IMO - maybe swap for that Arc Fusion from the pirate season that I can't remember the name of. Swap in that new aspect as well for high uptime on that from the ionic traces that build makes, and sounds like something juicy.
I play all 3 classes. Consecration made GMs easy. Too easy. To the point where I wouldn't run any other class during any PVE endgame activity. This change may help me play the other two classes more
>mrw I’ve been using bog-standard consecration on solar titan It doesn’t sound like the worst thing when getting those explosions is dependent on adds not dying from the first wave. As put here, it's hard to tell how much damage is being dealt by the waves and how much is being dealt by the ignition and having the values be displayed in-game without needing to record footage and pick it apart for the numbers would be great.
New warlock aspect seems very nice, so does the hunters for void, no need for omini for team invis when using that, but not might be as consistent in harder content like GMs. Really looking forward to that combination blow change, seems very good. Great title. lol
Roaring flames and consecration on sunbreaker is still going to be awesome. They're just making you work for it. They could at least take away the stupid hammer cooldown that does really nothing at all but annoy people. If they do nerf consecration into the ground making it useless without giving titans something else to do other than stasis prismatic, what are we even doing with titans? They care more about hunters and warlocks at this point.
i like using unbreakable. I know it's not the best, but being able to walk at an unstop ogre w/ 0 fear, and taking 100% of the damage for my team is very fun. i like this change a lot : ) i have never used in gms, but just runnin around with in onslaught or dual destiny or whatever is pretty fun
This is the most brain dead comments section I’ve ever seen, complaint about one nerf that isn’t even that big, and ignoring the fact that everything else in the patch notes is buffs and new aspects,
True. Everyone thinks it’s across the board nuked. People can’t read nowadays. It clearly states the wave damage. The ignitions are untouched until further investigation for a future nerf. I’m genuinely excited for more options of different abilities and more love to other aspects and subclasses as a whole. It’ll be nice.
As someone who primarily plays Nightstalker, the new aspect definitely looks cool, but I was kind of hoping for something that didn't have anything to do with invis for once. Like, do we really need a fourth aspect for Nightstalker that is all about invis? It just doesn't seem very creative to me.
When I play Arc Hunter I do tempest strike/ascension with the jolting chest piece and the buffs to both perks has me pretty excited. Like yeah I have a broken combo blow build too but ascension is just so fun
I hoped that they would have made it where you don't have to do Contest mode like you had the option for Vespers. Because I don't have a team, and I would rather not lfg for contest than lfg for normal difficulty
That ascension buff is actually goated, I've been bitching about it being anti-synergistic with everything on arc and prismatic since they revealed it and this change singlehandedly makes it viable
Was really hoping for more buffs or new features for void Warlock. It's worse at void stuff than prismatic in every way (prismatic has equivalent or BETTER void fragments, which are also cheaper because 5 slots instead of 3) and it still has the only grenade boost aspect which requires holding to charge grenades and balances this down side by also being the only one which doesn't appreciably increase the damage of those boosted grenades over base, and it has the worst charged melee ability in the game (which you can avoid on.... you guessed it, prismatic). It's a complete joke since prismatic arrived.
For me using strikers issue is survivability no devour or restoration for example. This new aspect doesn’t address arc titans primary issue for me and I primarily use thruster on arc anyway so it’s entirely useless.

That would take 3 months and 10 twabs in destiny while actively keeping Players from playing the Game
Okay, if consecration gets nerfed to the ground, then what else titan should run on prismatic? This is legit question, because any other aspect or ability have little to no synergy with one another.
Couple choices
Hoil+Scars/Vetiver T-crash (Feel free to swap to star if you want),any dps heavy on arc
Caress Behemoth Bloodline Thunderclap Glacier nade (Feel free to add any shotgun on primary if you feel confortable on double specials, trust me you'll have constant orbs for that)
Verity+assasin (if you feel like it) bloodline, devouring invis volatile executions with constant ammo refresh weakenig supressor nades with a stupidly low uptime.
Got a couple more idk, feel free to ask.
If consecration gets nerfed to the ground, you go back to strand. Show bungie your hatred.
Ill run away
@@googleplaynow9608 I mean, you'll always have stronghold banner yeah even after lament's nerf crownsplitter is a valid option for close range friendly bosses.
@@Shade-38 What? Nah, screw that defense puke... One two punch with navigator grapple melees.
Tbf most of concecration's damage was from the ignition which is unchanged, it will still be very powerful
I'm excited for the new Arc turret. The fact that it's an alt-grenade like GPG is huge. Looks very useful and powerful. But I'm slightly disappointed that warlock barely got any balancing. Threadlings are still a joke that don't do anything really and they don't seem to care.
Brother what threading builds are awesome.
I'm REAALLY hoping it's just like gunpowder gamble and activates grenade mods.
If that's the case. It will be affected by verity's brow (AKA double damage)
Threadlings are fine wth
Threadlings are fantastic what are you on
Threadlings are actually really solid idk what you mean
Dude, unbreakable is SSOOOO underrated, I use it with a couple of golden guns, because ALL of my clan mates are hunters, and I’m able to make somewhere between 400-600 orbs per gm depending on the gm, basically every single champion or high health boss has a nighthawk in their face the second it spawns, and the fact they just nerfed the best thing about that aspect is annoying
it's bungie. wut u expect?
it likely was not intentional, they left part of its buggy functionality
try the Velo Baton with the unbreakable and im sure youll be making the same orb amounts, i run pris hunter in gms and make about 300 with just the gl
@ I do use velocity with it, but you can generate 20ish orbs per grenade with a very high uptime, as well as giving you half your super every cast, now it’s gonna go down to about 4 or 5 orbs per cast
Dude I thought it was just me, but I definitely agree. Massive nerf if you ask me.
its dogshit dude
Man, as a titan main I really feel like every patch bungie just goes "take their socks" like I understand it does a ton of damage but it feels like titan ain't got a lot going for it and this makes that worse
Haven't played titan since they nerfed hammer time. Knew consecration was gonna be nerfed eventually. Guess we'll see more strand titans.
praise berserker
Yeah, berserker is a very strong fall back, especially for me with navigator.😊
But a 25% overall consecration damage nerf won't dethrone consecration. Especially because you can just spam them in transcendence. And amplified getting more defensive.
Captain Cosmodrome shield toss time
That Hunter Aspect has a lot of interesting exotic synergy so it'll be interesting to see it in the field.
I'm optimistic for the state of the game in Heresy I think.
favorite note was "slayers fang IS supposed to hurt you, and if you're mad about it, skill issue"
real - bringing me back to regular usage stats for Sleeper, 1k and Eyes
Community: bungo! Fix ur game
Bungie: *nerfs smth that almost everyone crutches*
Community: not like that!! 😠
Kinda wish theyd let ascension work with winters shroud too, but you cant have everything i suppose. Doesnt really matter to me anyway, my ascension build is a pure arc build anyway
Yeah it would’ve been a nice touch
I hope they fix Unbreakable consuming the extra grenade from Armamentarium chest and class item.
You can accurately discern the state of Destiny 2 based on how unhinged Datto's titles are.
Damn aren't you smart. Now tell me what happens then they move on to the second portion of the consec nerfs where they also gut ignitions?
@@ravecsucks6192 When they nerf that too, i am going back to warlock i guess.
No nerf could affect my glorious kings legacy
We had ONE THING and they nerfed it by 55%
BRO
I searched for videos on LeBron’s legacy and watched this one. I know nothing about LeBron’s legacy from this video.
More invisibility for hunters is cool but the new aspects random choice of enemy to mark seems very...deliberate.
Shadowshot still takes you out of orbit. Guess its a feature, not a bug.
my omnioculus build is salivating at the new void aspect
If the next dungeon takes as long just to get a small damage phase I'm quitting for real. I already can't do raids because I play with my wife and nobody else. We've been able to duo every dungeon except the end of that one. I think we could, but it takes SO LONG I just have no interest. Every single thing that attracted me to this game has been taken away slowly since the abortion that was lightfall. I hope that top 1% is having fun though, hopefully them feeling "challenged" makes up for the drop off in players.
The Datto title situation is crazy
1:53 no pun intended.
I can only assume the artifact mods for next season will be arc focused
"One of the 4 people in the world who doesn't have a Riptide by now"
yeah that'd be me, I don't touch Crucible
the community called consecration titan the worst simply because of the raid numbers, once everyone played the rest of the game they realized it was just as broken as the twab theorists said and then now nerf calls were made. i love d2 community
It's a nerf to mono consecration, which was never the problem. This change won't really move the needle to prismatic consecration spamming
One of the best headlines you’ve come up with. I legit had to double take to make sure it was really an official datto vid.
"It is such an anomaly to have that kind of a damage phase in the game -"
Well, funnily enough, where the final fight takes place is...
The consecration nerf isn’t even that bad. The second wave slam does about the same as the ignition so with synthos say
currently:
first wave does
Warlocks and hunters have so many tools, yet now titans again going back to banner of war or switching classes. They keep trying to buff void, unless they get original weapons of light I ain't using that class. Guess striker titan or banner of war main.
But will this effect the trout population?
Nah, people have zero reading comprehension it seems, the WAVE portion of Consecration is being nerfed, not the ignition portion which is where most of the damage comes from. It will still be really good, most likely still the best melee build in the game by far. Calm down and realise that it was unrealistic for Bungie to let something so out of band stay in the game. I’m honestly surprised that they didn’t nerf it further to be honest.
Hunters getting a void aspect makes sense since they just got an arc one with final shape like titans got void and warlocks solar. Now we just need solar for Hunter and Titan and void for warlock
Anyone know if the new aspects are on Prismatic? I'm interested in Stasis + Arc + Heal turret combined
This is the best title you have ever made. Thank you for continuing to follow this game.
So we're going into rhulks ship for the new dungeon? What.. are we gonna reuse rhulk too?
You've heard of Deep Stone Crypt: The Dungeon, now get ready for Vow of the Discipline: The Dungeon
Next season is Hive themed. They are probably trying to pick up the worm production that went down there
Honestly I don't see anyone talking about how Bolt Charges provide melee energy when obtained, which could allow for builds like Point Contact or depending on how much energy they provide (If anything like the elemental pickups then that could be nutty), you could start running Synthos/Ballistic Slam for baby Tcrash spam (cause both want you to dive into a group of enemies.
So you‘re going to pretend that consecration isn‘t stupidly overpowered?
1:10 just like last time with Vesper's Host, you don't have to wait for 48 hours, the Normal difficulty will be up as soon as the first team clears the dungeon on Contest mode.
I wonder if the new buddy will be able to work with the stasis turret as weel
If the new void hunter aspect has synergy with Omnioculus, we're fucking gaming
Consecration on PRISMATIC did need a nerf, it did, simple as that, just like Transcendence imo also needs nerfs in general
But to also extend that nerf to poor Sunbreaker? Come on man, that's not fair balancing that's just collateral damage via not knowing your own game
Glad they're finally buffing Juggernaut holy shit that aspect has been so trash ever since it came out, and Ballistic Slam getting verb synergy is very welcome
Does Bungie even have dedicated class players that know the true ins and outs of each class?
He never explained what this means for LeBron’s legacy, I need to know
Absolutely time to bring back the Warlock Coldheart build IMO - maybe swap for that Arc Fusion from the pirate season that I can't remember the name of. Swap in that new aspect as well for high uptime on that from the ionic traces that build makes, and sounds like something juicy.
I play all 3 classes. Consecration made GMs easy. Too easy. To the point where I wouldn't run any other class during any PVE endgame activity. This change may help me play the other two classes more
why us warlocks keep having to babysit a new buddy...they could have called us the nanny class, where are the big explosion that they promised me
The one decent build that prismatic titan had just got shit on. I guess it’s back to syntho/BoW for the handful of us titan mains left.
Should I come back to this game? I have about 3000 hours and havent played since neptune or whatever
Yes but not until Heresy drops
Not a stream watcher myself, but I enjoy the highlight type videos a lot!
Also any "Datto talks a lot" videos are the best.
Love you daddy Datto
>mrw I’ve been using bog-standard consecration on solar titan
It doesn’t sound like the worst thing when getting those explosions is dependent on adds not dying from the first wave.
Bolt charge could change things up. Div is arc wonder how it works with it.
As someone who primarily plays Nightstalker, the new aspect definitely looks cool, but I was kind of hoping for something that didn't have anything to do with invis for once. Like, do we really need a fourth aspect for Nightstalker that is all about invis? It just doesn't seem very creative to me.
The should add a stomp insteqd of barricade for stasis titan
So the radiant nerf is for pve only (weird choice tbh) but well is unaffected. Shouldn’t affect song of flame either imo.
When I play Arc Hunter I do tempest strike/ascension with the jolting chest piece and the buffs to both perks has me pretty excited. Like yeah I have a broken combo blow build too but ascension is just so fun
I still think Chaos Accelerant should be like a passive buff to all nades normally, but you can charge it for the supernova
I hoped that they would have made it where you don't have to do Contest mode like you had the option for Vespers. Because I don't have a team, and I would rather not lfg for contest than lfg for normal difficulty
So i wonder if ballistic slam can one shot now if you travel far enough in pvp? Without needing some exotic.
That ascension buff is actually goated, I've been bitching about it being anti-synergistic with everything on arc and prismatic since they revealed it and this change singlehandedly makes it viable
That warlock aspect is alright, but like, what about arc web?
Wow they really don’t want people to play huh
No, they don't. They want you to go play other games.
I just need you to know; your video titles are THE best.
How is "on the prowl" better than smoke bomb invis? Wouldve rather gotten a new hunter void melee
Striker might actually slap ngl
Will these new aspects be on prismatic
Titans really be having the most OP builds for way to long and then get upset when it gets brought to a reasonable place.
Launch Strand, MotQO in PvP, Lorely Splendor, void subclass 3.0 in PvP, etc etc
The new Titan aspect with arc conductor and peacekeepers
Maybe they updated the table after this vid went up, but the Past is Prologue rewards show that they're adept now.
Does the ascension change mean it’ll finally work with armor mods too?
New titan aspect looks completely irrelevant outside of using thunderlord and actium war rig behind it. It synergizes with nothing else
I kinda wanna try Khepri’s Sting with the new hunter aspect. Might be ass, might be fun.
