@@TheFawseIt's never going to compete with Whisper. No matter how much they buff it. They are built for two completely separate damage profiles. D.A.R.C.I. already beats Whisper in terms of DPS and burst DPS, and that's what it should stick to. Total damage is where whisper outshines everything, and D.A.R.C.I. shouldn't encroach into that area. Whisper isn't the best analogue for D.A.R.C.I., DPS weapons are though. Although now that D.A.R.C.I. has a damage support role, it shakes things up a bit. You need to specify what type of damage when you say "every heavy weapon in the game". My message isn't a discussion on whether D.A.R.C.I. is currently good or not. It's more of a critique on your methodology. But if we're going to talk about the actual buff it's getting. D.A.R.C.I. will buff legendary snipers, they exist in the special slot. It's not a situation where you are putting down your B&S rapid fire GL. You can run both a sniper and a heavy B&S GL. On top of this D.A.R.C.I. gets a 15% damage bonus and then whatever damage bonus the Networked Targeting perk gives per stack. It still might need buffs to its base damage or RPM, but this isn't nothing. It's already less of a hinderence than Ghorn, since it's already better across the board in terms of damage and buffs special weapons instead, leaving room for teammates to use rapid fire GLs. If people are going to run Ghorn, I really don't see why you wouldn't be okay running the new D.A.R.C.I for the same reason. Outside of add clear and fan favouritism.
Bungie needs a full exotic trace rifles pass, things like Prometheus Lens and Wavesplitter especially have fallen behind considerably and don't have interaction with class verbs. If Tommy's Matchbook can ignite, I don't see why Prometheus Lens can't.

Khepri's change sounds kind of cool. Sounds like someone said "Why don't we just make it the Solar version of Abeyant Leap?" and they team unanimously agreed.
Glaives have been good since the start. Only ones I can’t recommend are the heavy archetype, other than the stasis one because. Nezarecs whisper has a healing perk with the origin trait. Greasy luck has an auto/emergency reload after a finisher. All Glaive shields are OP and the melee will one shot most red bars and cleaves to hit multiple adds at once.
Hard Light gonna slap, there are tons of ways to infinitely apply buffs/debuffs. Getaway Artist on Warlock, Gyrfalcons on Hunter, etc. 30% buff plus potential ricochets doing even more
The thing about Ursa and Unbreakable is that neither are needed anymore. Almost nothing is a one shot anymore, and we got so much healing that this really isn't important. I still remember the proving grounds with Ursa Titans. I actually liked it
They totally killed my arc build with radiant dance machines. I was one of the very few people who actually made a whole build around them. Basically used the arc trace rifle with shoot to loot/voltshot, get kill -> dodge to reload -> voltshot -> repeat. The multiple dodges still worked for the mod that grants orbs on kill after using class ability, and it also worked for the one that picks up everything around you when using class ability. I was generating 4 - 6 orbs every 10 sec, and collecting them using the dodge, and getting health back for each using mods. It was glorious, and they killed it.
I dont think you were one of the few to use it. Most damage rotations are built around it (if you're a hunter), because of the reload spam. What they've essentially done is give it a use case in PvP again, give it subclass senergy and push it further into that boss damage role, although you'll need to prep it now.
@seb5542 What I meant was my entire subclass build for general play was built around them, not just a niche min/max use case. The reload spam is only one component of them that is useful for bosses, but the spam dodge has interesting interactions with a lot of armor mods despite not working with a lot of other things. That's why I said i was one of the very few people who *made a whole build around them* which to me implies more than damage rotations.
@@hankhill8973 Ah okay, that's fair if it was for neutral game. My comment was only really about the fact that you said you were one of very few using it. It only sees widespread usage for the auto reload. Which pretty much all damage testing is done with for the big spreadsheets like Aegis. You're totally right, it'll now take a few kills instead, affecting it's natural game uptime. Basically tying it's effectiveness to your ability to add clear with a primary. At least you'll be able to have more senergy with several perks and aspects, which can increase the lethality. But yeah, the cost to uptime is big purely for rapid orb generation. Even if a ton of new stuff is usable. Essentially one avenue is more limited, but you've got a few others now. Though, to be fair, add density is really high nowadays. And it's not like there are no primaries that can score multi kills quickly.
I wish the 4th horseman just had the return to sender perk it had in D1. Killing an enemy has a chance to refund a shot to the mag. It let you use it a little as a normal shotgun. It might as well use heavy ammo in D2 the way it's used.
Return to sender was a chance at free ammo. It didn't pull from reserves. I want it to not pull from reserves. It let you use it on lower tier enemies without feeling like you are going mega over kill. Reloading one round from reserves will, what, cut down on reloading slightly?
Just so everyone knows, Lotus Eater's Perk pool (Void Rocket Sidearm) has been updated in the TWID. No Redacted Perk anymore, and you can get the Destabilising Repulsor combo on it.
(For a future “Let’s argue”) Here’s the topic; Drop PS4/XB1. Reasoning; Memory constraints is more likely than not to be caused by old gen. Benefits; The game gets a higher baseline memory capacity to work with. Which means more enemies at once, more fun, more pain. (Faster spawns in Onslaught too?) (I’m also sick of getting queued in a 5 minutes loading screen to the Tower which extends by each person on hard drive that gets in the queue overtime(God help us all))
Yeah not gonna happen Edit: I realize only after posting that you meant last gen, my bad. Its not a bad idea, but idk if they would do it. It would mean losing those players, and I would assume by this point they really dont want to bleed more players.
@@thycrookedking2744 Oh yeah it’s definitely not happening for a while lmao. Currently, Bungie needs as many customers in the gaming industry as possible. No clue how many are still on old gen, but Bungie needs them nonetheless.
Agree, but not gonna happen because bungie needs every single player in existence. PS4 is based off of AMDs GCN architecture which is 11.5 years old. That is old egypt levels of archaic in terms of computing hardware. I had a similarly powerful desktop in 2021 and it was barely able to push 60fps at 768p and it wasnt even smooth 60. Honestly, i feel bad if youre on a PS4/XB1. Though, if Bungie really ends support for those one day, you kinda had it coming. There is only so much old hardware can do.
52:30 that was described on Reddit as "skill creep" although I describe it as a self-deprecating playlist as it essentially decays sover time with the bottom tier players bailing for being fed up with being farmed and then the cycle repeats.
loot, season pass and seasonal challenges, or at the very least have the season pass and challenges be retroactive, if i hit the cap, i dont want shitty engrams that are just gonna give me dupes anyway, let the xp work on progressing the pass in the background for when the rest of it gets unlocked
If they want to make Unbreakable more effective then they could have it scale a damage buff and ability cooldown around your teamates based on how much damage you block for them. While the only way the super is worth it is if you can safely do damage because you can only block so much, so the damage increase isn't worth it even when its the biggest buff (though its good when paired with radiance and a healing turret). So you can only do so much with the super.
Secant filaments buff is because there was no class ability recharge on pris warlock. Now, you can get rift energy from kills to feed spirit of vesper and starfire. It's not the getting devour that's the point, it's what you use it for
Weekly story being back is a W in my books Revenant was fine for having all the story in day one but everyone would pretty much have forgotten what happened when the next act drops The actual quest itself for the story is only one part of the seasonal story, but the dialogue in between the quest steps that occurs in the activities is another. During seasons every 2 or so weeks dialogue would update accordingly in seasonal activities and I feel like it added a lot to the plot. Characters would provide some expanded context , banter , or even some theories as to the going ons in the story and where it can go. It felt like it was continuous. All at once felt like it lost a lot of that charm and momentum. You’d log in , play it and log out.
4th horseman could be interesting if you get radiant or there’s antibarrier shotgun as an artifact perk. The extra penetration that it would get could let it reload itself a bit while mag dumping a boss if there’s something squishy standing behind it
I consider myself to be one of the dozen or so glaive enjoyers and this is huge, to me they always felt fluid and their gameplay loop was solid but they would quickly fall off in endgame without some uber godtier plays and crazy team work, so this buff should hopefully give them that push they needed for harder content.
i feel like the edge of concurrence change is a nerf. with two lucent blades, you can fire a special shot for just two ammo (since the special shot also gives charge). adding jolting feedback seems whatever but it's probably more significant given it'll be firing less big shots
the main issue i think with the darci change is that its a heavy buffing special weapons, the situation where it would thrive is pretty niche tho i can see it working very well with things like Dragon's breath or Anarchy
23:00 if you dont know how strong lubreas ruin with surrounded is, after this buff its your time to try. this is nuts. i did my Warlords solo with it and on ogre it shreds through taken minotaurs and totem bearers like theyre thralls.(include karnsteins for the "i am a god, i am the almighty, death is beyond me" build)
away from buffs, they actually gave sniper rifles a good way to be ok. now you'll have easier time to manage ads and better damage here. you can use such stuff like machine guns if you like
Adding Bolt Charge to Wardcliff could be fun but it seems already like the stack amount is really low. Maybe a full raid team using them together could get wild but that seems like a huge investment just to make it interesting.
I reckon Hard Light is going to be a really great option with a Gryflacons build because it'll have a constant 30% Damage Buff in Void Mode. Vs Gravitons where the Volatile Spread sometimes doesnt make you invisible Also if Lord of Wolves turns out to be decent in PvE it could be good with a Stasis Primary and an Arc or Stasis Heavy to get the increased damage when using your class ability
44:31 The vanguard sword, double edged answer had the combo of flash counter and counter attack. So it eould weaken the enemy (15% debuff) and give 50% damage for blocking an attack. Nothing too serious. Good enough for mid-teir and lower activities but i wouldnt use it in end game stuff. It's just fun and a cool combo but now it wont do that😢
I feel like support frame autos feel good and do good damage and its more of a community disconnect since its got such a unique feeling that can feel bad if youre not used to it.
I'm sorry but the Ursa Furiosa change is a Nerf. I have a whole build around it that allowed me to literally jump between Super Shield and Mini Shield constantly. Getting Grenades back in Void Titan isn't hard, you just have to build around it.
Glaives definitely need the stat bump, especially to reload. I almost never make or use one without some kind of auto loading perk or impulse amplifier because otherwise trying to reload is like watching paint dry, only also while you're actively being shot
They NEED to change up what we are required to do on a weekly basis. It needs to be compelling, interesting, and meaningfully contribute to a goal. I CAN'T go on with 'go see Mithrax' Go listen to a radio message, Go see Crow, Go back to Mithrax'
That Ursa change is kinda cringe, you already get enough grenade regen between Offensive Bulwark, Devour and even damn Grenade Kickstart. Give super energy back bungo.
31:40 as an avid edge of concurrence user, i can safely say that it this is a horrible change one of the best things about it was using 2x lucent blades to charge the meter in 3 hits, and with the charged shot also giving energy you could send out a charged shot every third shot.
Wait, would the new Titan aspect Storm's keep would it work with the shoot through barricade? If so interesting 😂 Also, the changes to the titan exotic Ursa Furiosa sounds interesting. Hope you can throw your granade while your Banner Wall still stays up (would give dps to allies, protection and orbs + with the granade energy you could use a debuff granade to make dps better and some damage from from your Titan while its up). It sounds enticing to me as a Titan main. Plus probably would take some strain off Warlocks from having to continuously having to go Warlock Well every time (since the titan banner wall can be moved). What do you guys think and hope for?
On Khepri, I actually have a pretty fun build on prismatic with a Spirit of KH and Abeyant class item. Stringing things up and watching them burn is kinda fun,, but obviously is not as strong as consecration. Just something to be viable endgame and add some flavor.
They should return wave frames back to normal so they are able to compete with aerial denial frames and give trace rifles a 5-7% to majors. They feel weak towards yellow bars.
That Darcy buff could be good if combo with a g-horn user. Just have 1 DARCI start getting its 5 shots while someone shoots a g-horn to get the rocket perk/buff, everyone else shoots their first rockets than swaps to snipers (that should now have the DARCI buff maxed out by now. Shoot snipers till their auto-loading rockets proc and repeat.

It's so annoying that they haven't updated Winter's Guile to be the same as the reworked wormgods and new veritys brow
Bungie needs a full exotic trace rifles pass, things like Prometheus Lens and Wavesplitter especially have fallen behind considerably and don't have interaction with class verbs. If Tommy's Matchbook can ignite, I don't see why Prometheus Lens can't.
It can lol. Just hit a target long enough. Like a champ. It does deal scorch stacks (I think)
@TristanLisowskiit does, just slower than Tommy's, which is ridiculous because it's a special weapon and Tommy's is a primary
DARCI buff? I have never clicked so fast
Need that Saddam Hussein emblem
WHAT
just want to say. iv watched your vids since middle of d1. haven't played D2 consistently since like shadow keep. However i'v never stopped watching your videos on release. I dont expect much from the future of D2, but i hope you stay a prominent content creator for whatever you enjoy. ill stay watching
Beastman has been vindicated. He can finally use his darci build.
Goddammit i wanted to make that joke
Why do they keep using Long Shadow's model and never Fridgid Jackal's model :(
I know it’s the best looking sniper in the game imo, with a nice grounded design. Would love to see it come back with a new perk pool
Khepri's change sounds kind of cool. Sounds like someone said "Why don't we just make it the Solar version of Abeyant Leap?" and they team unanimously agreed.
Queenbreaker changes sound cool but I still don’t know where it would get used, I just want it to be a special weapon
hardlight + gerfalcons. about to be a monsterous combo
hard light + literally anything about to go absolutely insane tbh
Im just glad choir of one didnt catch any nerfs
destabilizing getting buffed certainly helps it, which is nice
will the 10% extra damage to autos affect choir? if so, thats kinda broken
@@oversouledict2005 oh shit I didn't even connect those dots
Glaives have been good since the start. Only ones I can’t recommend are the heavy archetype, other than the stasis one because. Nezarecs whisper has a healing perk with the origin trait. Greasy luck has an auto/emergency reload after a finisher. All Glaive shields are OP and the melee will one shot most red bars and cleaves to hit multiple adds at once.
but my big frosty ball ! (nvm)
24:24 god help me but Coriolis Force is a guilty pleasure for me.
Is that the void one from Europa that u can farm for?
Same! But now they're changing the all shots at once burst which was why I loved it :'(
@@jackherman1310 I was also disappointed by that, but I’m gonna wait to try it before I really make a judgment. Could turn out dope
@@TheFawse Quite possibly in pve, but I'm not sure about pvp where I really liked it (I'm a freak I know)
@@jackherman1310 aw that sucks. That thing slaps, seems like it shoots faster and in a beam form at that.
Hard Light gonna slap, there are tons of ways to infinitely apply buffs/debuffs. Getaway Artist on Warlock, Gyrfalcons on Hunter, etc. 30% buff plus potential ricochets doing even more
If it reprocs the damage buff for every solar ember of empyrean kill that would be sick
@ oh true, you could chain Resto and/or Radiant with it on Solar. Resto x2 and a permanent 62.5% damage buff sounds downright _juicy_
Maaaan that Tomb gonna be REAL delicate now lol. I already got a prismatic build for this weapon whoooo
23:10 Hey, one of the 14 people using glaives here! My thwacking stick is going to break God's shins with this change.
I wish the 4th horseman just had the return to sender perk it had in D1. Killing an enemy has a chance to refund a shot to the mag. It let you use it a little as a normal shotgun. It might as well use heavy ammo in D2 the way it's used.
Do you just not read or... it literally got that but better.
Return to sender was a chance at free ammo. It didn't pull from reserves. I want it to not pull from reserves. It let you use it on lower tier enemies without feeling like you are going mega over kill. Reloading one round from reserves will, what, cut down on reloading slightly?
An hour long datto video? Yes please!
Just so everyone knows, Lotus Eater's Perk pool (Void Rocket Sidearm) has been updated in the TWID. No Redacted Perk anymore, and you can get the Destabilising Repulsor combo on it.
(For a future “Let’s argue”)
Here’s the topic; Drop PS4/XB1.
Reasoning; Memory constraints is more likely than not to be caused by old gen.
Benefits; The game gets a higher baseline memory capacity to work with. Which means more enemies at once, more fun, more pain. (Faster spawns in Onslaught too?)
(I’m also sick of getting queued in a 5 minutes loading screen to the Tower which extends by each person on hard drive that gets in the queue overtime(God help us all))
Yeah not gonna happen
Edit: I realize only after posting that you meant last gen, my bad.
Also, they probably paid for annual pass already.
I’m on old gen :(
Agree, but not gonna happen because bungie needs every single player in existence.
Darci talk starts at 30:18
I’m glad Bungie is finally enabling Warlocks to not only build around getting Devour, but for things to happen because of Devour.
3:15 I’m fine with them holding story stuff for weeks, it’s the loot I want to be able to acquire from the start
loot, season pass and seasonal challenges, or at the very least have the season pass and challenges be retroactive, if i hit the cap, i dont want shitty engrams that are just gonna give me dupes anyway, let the xp work on progressing the pass in the background for when the rest of it gets unlocked
It's not the getting devour that's the point, it's what you use it for
Facet of hope gives 300% more class ability regen when you have an elemental buff tho?
God damn I'm glad you talk fast. I thought i has it on 1.50× speed. Your awesome dude...lol. the right speed. Straight to the point😂😂
Weekly story being back is a W in my books
Revenant was fine for having all the story in day one but everyone would pretty much have forgotten what happened when the next act drops
The actual quest itself for the story is only one part of the seasonal story, but the dialogue in between the quest steps that occurs in the activities is another.
Beast man boutta finally cook with DARCI🔥
16:43 I use the exotic in PvP, it alows for insta devour after going around a corner + damage buff
They never expect me to back up from a fight only to go back in with full health a second later 😂
4th horseman could be interesting if you get radiant or there’s antibarrier shotgun as an artifact perk. The extra penetration that it would get could let it reload itself a bit while mag dumping a boss if there’s something squishy standing behind it
If i see eternal warrior in crucible, bastion will lay yo ass down 😂
“Barkeep, another round of glaive please” 😂
I consider myself to be one of the dozen or so glaive enjoyers and this is huge, to me they always felt fluid and their gameplay loop was solid but they would quickly fall off in endgame without some uber godtier plays and crazy team work, so this buff should hopefully give them that push they needed for harder content.
Finally, the true meta every one was to afraid to acknowledge is undeniable. D.A.R.C.I.'s supremacy is no longer confined to the shadows.
i feel like the edge of concurrence change is a nerf. with two lucent blades, you can fire a special shot for just two ammo (since the special shot also gives charge). adding jolting feedback seems whatever but it's probably more significant given it'll be firing less big shots
Datto... your a great streamer, content creator. Thanks dude. You are a big part of destiny to me. Thats all. ❤
the main issue i think with the darci change is that its a heavy buffing special weapons, the situation where it would thrive is pretty niche tho i can see it working very well with things like Dragon's breath or Anarchy
Iron banner actually gives rewards even when you lose unlike trials, in the past it was a great catch up mechanic for Pinnacles.
Those 5 stick of doom gambit are thinking this is peak
Bungie acually started making armor sets based on error codes. This time hunters get the error code: weasel armor set.
Sealed ahamkara grips are pseudo envious arsenal/b&s on an armor piece?
Seems interesting ngl.
Datto being mad at "vestigial" has big Jez energy xD
Verity looks awesome and there's so much Hive and bone related armour in the game that fits with it what do you want about
23:00 if you dont know how strong lubreas ruin with surrounded is, after this buff its your time to try. this is nuts. i did my Warlords solo with it and on ogre it shreds through taken minotaurs and totem bearers like theyre thralls.(include karnsteins for the "i am a god, i am the almighty, death is beyond me" build)
Bungie: "we nerfed quicksilver to yhe point literally no one used it, so we are winding some of the sledgehammer nerfs back"
away from buffs, they actually gave sniper rifles a good way to be ok. now you'll have easier time to manage ads and better damage here. you can use such stuff like machine guns if you like
1 hour video on Darci is CRAZY
Adding Bolt Charge to Wardcliff could be fun but it seems already like the stack amount is really low. Maybe a full raid team using them together could get wild but that seems like a huge investment just to make it interesting.
I reckon Hard Light is going to be a really great option with a Gryflacons build because it'll have a constant 30% Damage Buff in Void Mode. Vs Gravitons where the Volatile Spread sometimes doesnt make you invisible
Also if Lord of Wolves turns out to be decent in PvE it could be good with a Stasis Primary and an Arc or Stasis Heavy to get the increased damage when using your class ability
Maybe DARCI finally gets a baroque wolf skin. May-haps , tiny bees/drones rather than woof-cubs flying.
31:40 as an avid edge of concurrence user, i can safely say that it this is a horrible change
one of the best things about it was using 2x lucent blades to charge the meter in 3 hits, and with the charged shot also giving energy you could send out a charged shot every third shot.
hell, without lucent blades you could charge a shot in four hits, this is a straight up nerf
Rapid fire autos for sure needed help, they’re not bad, but they feel sorry compared to other weapons
AND MY GLAIVE GUARDIANS REJOICE!!!
Wait, would the new Titan aspect Storm's keep would it work with the shoot through barricade? If so interesting 😂
Also, the changes to the titan exotic Ursa Furiosa sounds interesting.
What do you guys think and hope for?
be honest, you clicked this video expecting to see Darci shooting G-horn missiles
Delicate Tomb on Striker with Touch of Thunder pulse nades might be worth looking into 👀
0:27 I can’t get over the fact that Heresy is in the Palworld font lol
i love how the community has sunken to emblems being the best fomo in the game
100% guarantee the reprised weapons for next season are going to be from season of the hunt.
well, now we need tom to make a new video where beastman makes a comeback with the Darci
telesto buff= “YOU FOOLS! YOU MESSED WITH THE NATURAL ORDER!!!!!”
On Khepri, I actually have a pretty fun build on prismatic with a Spirit of KH and Abeyant class item. Stringing things up and watching them burn is kinda fun,, but obviously is not as strong as consecration. Just something to be viable endgame and add some flavor.
Lotus-Eater NOT getting void-focused perks (that we see) is criminal.
Thank god it was a typo
They should return wave frames back to normal so they are able to compete with aerial denial frames and give trace rifles a 5-7% to majors. They feel weak towards yellow bars.
Is this what I think it is? An actual fun, sandbox-altering patch? Incredible
If the little content we got during "episodes" was the most they can be bothered to churn out, I'd rather they not even bother. It was truly shocking just how little was there and hiding that fact back behind time gating isn't going to make a difference. Innovation, creativity, and replayability are the only thing most people I've spoken to want... and we all know that ain't happening.
what if they gave darci multishot like with barrel diffusion or split chamber or vigilante armaments or lethal torrent
Maybe this is it. Maybe this is finally the season that they make exotic glaives useful
