Hello Cindy! I have learned so much from Cindy by watching all her previous videos on how to upholster over the last couple years. Watching her over and over sometimes and then doing it myself is what kept me from getting frustrated and giving up. I still go back occasionally to watch how to make my own piping.

Just finishing up another successful Sailrite based project! Thanks again for another excellent instructional video. I will be adding this project to my success list which already includes several boat covers (also to your design) and a cover for our outdoor patio table with central umbrella (loosely based on your small sailboat cover video). For the lounge cushions I added piping to your design... and had a couple of tense moments wondering about how it would work at the corners. Your addition of a curved corner detail takes just enough material out of the corners to allow the piping to flow from the sides to the ends without bunching... perfect.

I love your videos (and my LSZ Premium!) and I have learned so much thanks to you. I just made my own cushions following this excellent tutorial, but I am disappointed about one thing... Since the video shows cutting the Sunbrella with scissors, that's what I did. And the Sunbrella frays like crazy! I wish you had suggested using a hot knife instead (which I have) to cut and seal the edges in one shot. I ended up using my serger on the edges when I finished, and even though those edges will be hidden inside I still don't want them to fray.

Fantastic video thank you. But I’m starting from scratch, are there measurements for the foam?

    • @SailriteDIY

Yes, measure the frame of the chair and cut your foam to that size, maybe about 1/4" larger in all dimensions.

Hello Cindy, Sailrite, first of all, thank you for your videos, they are excellent! Can you pls advise whether I can sew this cushion with thicker foam or with shredded foam of approx. 10 cm thickness? Thank you in advance

What can one use if we don't have access to the saw to cut the foam? Big scissors? knife lol?

A long bread knife works well or a hacksaw blade.
