Hell yeah, man! Much props, and big ups, for reacting to Morbid Angel! In my humble and meager opinion, they are are one of the best Death Metal bands of ALL-TIME! There’s Death, Obituary, Pestilence, Carcass, and Morbid!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
As far as classic death metal, check out Carcass, anything off the Heartworks album is sick! Bill Steer is an animal on the ax! Also highly recommend Death, maybe start with an album like Leprosy, Spiritual Healing, or Individual Thought Patterns! Chuck Schuldinger is probably the greatest death metal guitarists ever! Lastly, but not least, Pestilence, their classic album, masterpiece really, Consuming Impulse. Pestilence is so fucking sick!! Enjoy your journey through death metal. A few newer Death Metal outfits, I’d highly recommend are: Skeletal Remains, Gatecreeper, Necrot, Scorched, Tomb Mold, Witch Vomit, and Slugdge..Enjoy!!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

To me Pete is Morbid Angel..which is why without him they crumble.
@Madzin you're right. But trey doesn't fully write the drums. He just puts the general beat/idea. Pete does the rest. Also in the heretic album I forgot the title of song. But pete wrote a whole song and trey wrote along to the drums. Pete did alot. Hence why their current sound in MA sounds a bit different. IMO.
@@alextrusk_ Pete is the one that invented death metal drumming. His drumming style didn't exist previous to him. I know him personally. Trey used to program drums before Pete was a part of the band because no drummer could play that music..until there was one that could.

Its from the late 00s or early 2010s because davd vincent (their OG bassist/vocalist) is on bass and vocals.
Yeah, 89 would have been Richard Brunelle, not Erik Rutan...

Hey. I dont know if u've stoped making reaction on Doom but i would love to see one more. My suggestion is "Asteroids and rockets" from doom eternal. Very underrated song. "Bingus beats" have a good mix on his channel.
Pete Sandoval is one of the best drummers in metal, but was eventually kicked out after becoming a Christian. I'd imagine that it would be a conflict, but seems shitty.
He wasn’t kicked out for being a Christian, he opted out of touring for back surgery and in the time healing from that he became born again and never returned to the band. They didn’t kick him out.
@@biorythmicshifter It sounded like they didn't wait for him either tho. Might have been a misunderstanding. Just what I've read.
@@WALDENSOFTWARE they had touring obligations that needed to be fulfilled so they opted for a replacement, if Pete wanted to come back they would have let him but Pete’s new found faith had an effect on what hr wanted to play. I can respect Pete’s decision. There are certain songs that he didn’t want to have anything to do with because they conflicted with his faith. I get it, faith and conviction are powerful motivations in life. Many may disagree but we still need to be respectful. Pete deserves to be happy in all aspects of his life so I support his decisions, overcoming such a serious life altering injury takes a lot and sometimes one needs help and sometimes that help comes from faith. I still and will always have the highest respect for Pete, he gave us all a gift from his hard work and talent. He sacrificed much for that gift…
@@biorythmicshifter Thanks for the reply. Do you happen to know which songs he had a problem with? He is playing in I Am Morbid now, but I don't know their setlist exactly.
@@WALDENSOFTWARE there was a recent interview with David talking about Pete plying for him in I Am Morbid and he mentioned that Pete wasn’t interested in playing certain songs, unfortunately he didn’t give details of those exact songs but I think it would be safe to say songs like Unholy Blasphemies and other overtly anti-Christian songs are off the list. Apparently the back injury was pretty serious so he stays pretty heavily medicated these days. I’m just glad to see Pete back in action because he remains one of my favorite drummers ever…
