I think a lot of the mechanical sounds you were talking about is something that that's older people usually look for in a car. The young people just want something that's totally different. Another great show man
Do you know why I watch your videos? There are tons of muscle car videos on RUclips, but you ask great questions and show a ton of childlike enthusiasm like guys should! Thanks!
@@AutotopiaLA Brent's got it right. I live about an hour north of SF, in Sonoma County and there are crooked coast roads and canyons throughout. I learned to drive the back roads out here, as my granddaughter tells me "... way back in another century!!" Ethan has obviously spent years driving this Mustang and it shows in how much in sync he is with it. I've known so many guys who really enjoy their cars but just can't get a clean shift in to save their butts. It's been a pleasure to watch and listen to that in his video. Great video of a really nice old car and an owner who knows how to get it down the road...
I want my 65 fairlane to be just like this car at heart. I love the sound. I only need about 350 to 400hp though. That much power with good brakes and good suspension, driven at its limits, is probably more than most can handle. Not like these "yay, i have a thousand horsepower people". Absolutely no way you can drive a thousand horsepower car to its limits on any public road.
The road they're crusing on is beautiful. I would kill to drive out there especially like way he is driving. This guy rips this car. The way it was built to drive. Plus it's a cherry on the top that he kept it old tech and basically orginal. Must be a blast to drive it like that. Yeah I'm a little jealous.
holy mother of god, this thing is a riot, a gorgeous one I might add. love the first gen fastback Mustangs. they look so sleek, especially their side profile, zero fat on them, lean muscular lines all over, literally the automotive equivalent of a sprinter field and track athlete. and the owner used to daily it for many years, I wonder how he still has hearing. :-D another killer presentation right there Shawn ! enthusiastic greetings from germany to beautiful California.
I like it. I've been driving my 67 fstbk for 34 years. It was my first car ,a daily driver but I need A/C. I'd rather listen to my Flowmaster than the crap on the radio. Thanks.
Old cars are just so much fun. They are fun to work on and best of all to drive. I like them best when they aren't fitted with a modern computer controlled power plant.
Is this something that I used to drive when I was in high school. I bought a 65 Mustang coupe for $250 with a blown motor. Worked a summer for $2 an hour rebuilt the motor with help of my mom's friend and there she was . I had about $800 Invested and just a fun car. I still remember some of the prices. Edelbrock f4b $75. Holley 600 double Pumper $65 and Sig person cam with 286 duration 475 maybe 478 left. I remember those prices because it seemed like I never save enough. Came with 4 speed factory positraction no power steering no air conditioning. Went on my 1st date with my future wife in that car
I like it man. Not everyone can have a 250K super duper car. I like that he's got it setup just right and he drives and enjoys it. Maybe the only thing I would do is a brake upgrade because its good to have some whoa with all that go even if that means putting on larger diameter wheels like some 18's.
Well, at least he doesn't have his grandma's quilt covering the seat :) Jokes aside this car rides sweet and will be worth doing all the cosmetic bits one day... A GT350R replica or Bullitt replica and an outlaw 964, I'd daily and own as one and only if I had the choice... Please keep 'em coming, more fun than the absolutely unattainable exotics :) Love your channel buddy
It's always cool to see a daily driver like this and it's a really lovely raw car,not a trailer beauty. Shit I'm surprised he did not let you drive Shawn. Great sound and great vid S.
Ron Lawson and there were people who stormed factory’s and destroyed sowing mills in the 1800s because they didn’t like change either. Adapt to change or find yourself perfectly suited to a world which no longer exists!
Love it!! Mustang is so iconic ,and is an excellent platform to express individual personality. Awesome episode, always great to see a Mustang, free in the back country!!💯👊💯
I just hit the like to make 347 cubes of likeness yewwww. Great vid, even better car!! When I get my 65 GT350 done in the coming months you'll have to fly out to South Australia for a drive in my version 🤙
Now THAT'S more like it man! Of course I could have enjoyed watching more driving time but this was great. What an awesome cat!. I'm sure he will get the interior done eventually. But in can definitely understand why he's in no rush. Great car great video!
I was thinking the same thing, but maybe I missed something in the video? Great car, Shawn- thanks for sharing it. These are my favorite kinds of cars. Built well, built simple, driven hard, and kicks ass.🤘🏻
My boss has an Impala he put $200k into. It's beautiful but he he's too afraid to drive it. He even trailers it to shows. What's the point?! This is where it's at - rode hard and put away wet.

That's what's up, I like to see normal people's cars. The 6 figure ones are cool, but the down to earth ones are appreciated!
Welcome To The Madness like you, I love em all especially the ones that get driven
Nothing like the sound of a mustang. It makes you just want to hear it, no talking,no radio, just blasting through the gears.
I hear ya and agree
Cool car, great episode! I like that it was shot up the canyon instead of back and forth in front of the shop. Keep up the great work!

65 66 Mustang GT 350 best Mustang ever yes the new ones will blow them away but give me the old 65 66 GT 350 any day
