I came to write this, After Installing the controller on BDM-030 ( This works for BDM 040 as well) DISCLAIMER: YOU DO NOT NEED TO SODER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO ROUTE TOUCHPAD OR R3 and L3 Basically, in this video if you're not trying to route the touchpad to the paddles or R3 and L3, then skip from 4:02 to 9:31 0-4:02 (from 0-4:02 it shows you how to take apart the controller to reach the areas we need to get to) 4:02-9:31 ( shows you how to solder and what's needed to route the touchpad to paddles) (THIS IS IF YOU WANT TO ROUTE TOUCHPAD AND R3 and L3) 9:31-12:50( is showing you the process of putting everything back together as well as adding the necessary strip for power to the paddles whether plastic or metal) 12:57-13:27 (shows you the requirements if you want to route the l3 and r3 buttons, this requires soldering once again) ( if you do not care about those skip straight to the plastic or metal paddles installation part) 13:30-19:32 ( this is the plastic paddles installation) 19:32-25:35( this is the metal paddles installation) 25:37-27:17( This is the remapping tutorial) (how to test if it's working properly, what to look for if it's not, if working properly how to map buttons to paddles) If you follow all of these steps correctly and precisely you will be able to get on your first try, remember to make sure everything is plugged in PROPERLY, I'm not an expert but figured this might help some of you out. Thanks!
This is the way I did it with the original remap kit because I didn't understand why they would have you a fix it to the board with 3M tape which will eventually fall off and the connection wouldn't stay so it was common sense to attach it to the pegs directly versus sticking it to the board. I'm glad that this is an updated video for those that don't think outside of the box or the original directions as I'm sure this will help many others
I have customers complaining the paddles intermittent not working. And I found out when pressing L3 the paddles would stop working and when releasing they work fine again. Is this the reason you use the 4 plastic corner pieces instead of the EVA tape?
Guys if the red light isnt turning at all, it could be the contacts. It was for me and you have to use one of the pads in the the other video the first one (not the updated one) to heighten the contacts so they can connect to the electronics of the kit. if anyone doesnt understand lmk!
This kit is a mess for me i have this kit but it didn't have a qr code so i search and the only video i found was k1k2k3k4 not the one i have so I fallow it installed it now the light does turn on but very light not dark like in the video i only solder the pad how ever i press the settings button it blinks 1 and stays on than i give it a comand k1 triangle and it blinks a few blinks but it doesn't work on k1
You know what never mind it does work my problen is I have give it a comand then turn the controller off and it works when turn on ?? Is it supposed to work like this ??
The k1 k2 button do not work when i give the comand k1 plus triangle or k2 plus R2 when on i have to turn off then back on and it workss is it supposed to function like this ???

Hi what buttons can u remap without soldering then ?

Have the same issue sometime it works and sometime it wont
Try to unplug everything plug in back maybe it works then constantly
Got bdm 040 btw
I'm sure the metal rods in my kit are slightly too small both paddles are wobbling a lot and just feel flimsy
Do you know why now that when I installed the led kit in my controller the trigger doesn't work??
Please update the updated video with how to heighten the contacts with the pad Thank you! @ExtremeRate
Are the paddles meant to be slightly loose or have I done something wrong?
My red light turns on but my remapped buttons don’t work?? The paddles click fine but i doesn’t get the remapping. Any help??
I did everything like in the video but the led indicator did not light up at all, why?
Thanks ur video is way better than the original I did it in 15 mins
I have customers complaining the paddles intermittent not working. And I found out when pressing L3 the paddles would stop working and when releasing they work fine again. Is this the reason you use the 4 plastic corner pieces instead of the EVA tape?
Yes to prevent the false signal conduction on the FPC pressed by other buttons in a compact space
the light wont come on and the contacts for r1 r2 l1 l2 are aligned pretty sure, i checked 2wice

Hello, is welding really mandatory?
How do I allow one of my paddles to connect to my circle button
When I try to press down on the paddles it doesn’t click or press the button at all no matter how many times I try to
Have you exit the setting mode?
@@ExtremeRatemines does the same for k3 and k4 how do i fix?
bro it did not say you have to solder it that doesn’t come with the kit what else can i do
Fr bro they should say u had to do that it’s so stupid
You only have to solder if you're planning to remap the TOUCHPAD. If you're just using the paddles, there is no soldering.
@@Officer_Mills Hey what does this mean necessarily just worry about connecting the batter and what not
@@Officer_Millswhat about the thumb sticks do you have to solder for that as well
Can this be installed together with whole clicky set?

omg finally after 2h
don't give up guys
the lights didn't show on for me, because I plugged the big orange connector in the wrong way
double check everything you'll find
Glad you fixed it! Now enjoy your pro controller😁
Can I put the WHOLE Clicky kit together with the RISE kit? Or can I not put the two together?
Hi, you can put both onto a controller, first install the clicky kit and then the RISE.
How do I remove the metal case on kit to access the mother board again my K1 is too loose and wobbly
Same for me I managed to get the case off but i have no idea how to stop it from wobbling it just doesn't seem right to me did you fix yours?
Updates are too slow. I reported that the touchpad version had changed in last October.
Do you have a solution for the newer touchpad soldering point? I don’t know where to solder
edit: Found the solution on reddit
How to fix if lights doesn’t show
Does this work with BDM 050?
I ordered the wrong version is there a way I can get another or do I have to pay
you will have to contact customer service, and send them back the one you received..
What is the solder
idk why this shit is so hard bro
