A manual or digital torque wrench is pretty useful. Especially when I was doing a timing belt or valve cover gasket job on my 2002. Informative video thank you!
Just found the channel and I think you have done most of what I have planned for mine. Looking forward to going through them all. Nice to see a fellow 4Runner nut.
I'm digging that dash cam you have. Never thought to find one that clamps onto my mirror. Out here in AZ and with the clear ceramic tint on my windshield makes it almost impossible to secure a dashcam on the window for long periods of time, it constantly falls off. I still look over my shoulder and check mirrors, but the front/rear video footage is great for all these pyschos on Arizona roads ha ha

I have same 4runner to a T and am wondering if you know how to increase the idle throttle.? My 4runner is bogging down at a stop. Thank you for the videos they are helpful.
Clean the throttle body and iac and see if that helps. If not, adjust the throttle cable by loosening the nut. Timmy the toolman has a video on some of this :).
@@PhoRunner nice, would you recommend getting 33’s on a wheel with -6 offset? I’d like to get 33’s on a certain wheel but I’m not sure if I’d have to regear, or how much it would poke out and have rubbing. Any advice?
-6 should be good for 8” wide wheels. For 33s on all terrains, should be good with 4.30 stock gears if you have a factory elocker. It rides pretty good. If you got muds like me, it’ll be a drag
Thanks for these great tips! I have that exact same phone mount. I have mine over to the right of the radio. Your placement is better visually, guess I just didn’t want to block the clock. It’s a pretty good one, either way.
I mounted mine on the instrument panel in front of my RPM & speedometer. It doesn't totally block them and I can see my phone through the steering wheel hole when using for GPS.
Thanks for the review. I’ll be getting due to the dark tint and the loop recording is an awesome aspect. Where did you end up mounting the rear camera?
There was no TRd for 3rd gen 4runners? When did TRD start? my 03 taco is a trd offroad and your 4runner and compnents are almost a carbon copy of it with minor differences
It’s on my Tacoma as well. I have a 2004 PreRunner, and it came with the TRD off road package (and stickers like these), I believe because it has RR Diff. Funny, I used to consider pulling those stickers off, but I’m glad I left them on as they do look pretty good.
Outstanding video brother! I have the hitch mod but none of the others, and I’ve been thinking about how to make the 12v outlet hot like that, so thanks for that one too! My 4Runner is an automatic so I was wondering if you have any mods for that, I got such a screaming deal on my truck that I didn’t care so much. Not that I do a lot of off-roading but you never know. Does your camera activate by motion sensor or do they make one that does? Just in case someone try’s to steal your stuff. 💪🤟
The camera does have a impact sensor! Check my other videos! I have a gps tracker now as well for cheappp. I have a few maintenance videos too for that transmission
Hello, I recently purchased a 98 4runner and I have watched a lot of of your videos. Wanted to know if there is anything that can be done about the radio location. Like you said on this video, it's too low to look at while driving. Is it possible to bring it up a little bit higher?
Thanks Pho Runner also I would like to know what type of window visors do you have on your 3rd Gen do they hold up well over time and where did you buy them from
Hey anyone have a ? Can anyone help so I am replacing my tailgate but the connecters are different and when I try to roll down my window that blue box clicks that has all the wires coming out I switched them off the original door
@@PhoRunner thank you so much man! Itll look great and put to use on my 2000.. i cranked out 45000 miles in about 14 months since i bought it last spring.. great deal too!
You really really need to be careful that the shackles and hitches your buying are good quality, you never know the true quality of something until it breaks and it could cause serious injury even death, you need to buy from reputable companies and they need to be certified
@@PhoRunner yup!!!🤣 Dare ya!!! Post video if ya do!! I have my 3rd Gen 3 4Runner now.. these are BY FAR the best vehicles Toyota will ever build!!!! GUARANTEE it!!!. Great video. You can also add LED’s lights for dashboard. Makes a lot of difference and it’s very inexpensive.
True!
Hey thanks for bringing it up I’ve been looking for someone to do it because I work 12hr shift any led recommendations?

Awesome!! They are both awesome additions to our 4Runners!!

lol. It gets pretty hot here too and you gotta use some outdoor adhesive for it to stay on. 114-116 on some days here
@@PhoRunner gotcha, yea that's summer months out here lol
Amazing video! I am in the market for a 3rd Gen 4Runner. Your videos are really helpful. Thank you!
Cool!! Prices seem to be coming back to reality so hopefully you find a decent one!!
All great mods but the hitch receiver shackle is a must have!
Indeed. I use mine all the time lol
Love your snow video and recovery videos :)
Love your videos man!
Glad you are enjoying them!!
Liking the new intro

Rola rack vertex plus extension. I have a video on it too

285/75/17 bfg km3

Lmao nice one
Is there a step by step video on your storage cubbies in the back ?
Yes check out my cargo sleeper videos!
Do you have a part number on the magnetic phone holder?
I have an alternative listed in my video description. I can’t find this exact one “fitport” but I’m sure they are all similar
Where is your roof basket from? What brand? And how much did it cost?
Just a rola vertex rack
Amazon
Greats mods! Interested in your fender trim. Where did you purchase it?
Stock sr5 skinny flares
Is that a 559yotas sign?
Just starting my 2002 in the 559!
Yes sir
just did nr. 2, thanks.
No problem!
Thanks for the review. I’ll be getting due to the dark tint and the loop recording is an awesome aspect. Where did you end up mounting the rear camera?
License plate :)
vietnamese guy.
Have you done a video on the grill guard install and where to buy it?
I have not . Those are damage multiplier though
What fender trim/flare is on your 4Runner? I like the minimalist look of it.
Stock sr5 skinny flares
where’d you get the bike rack on top
I don’t have a bike rack on top. Just a roof rack. It’s a rola roof rack
There was no TRd for 3rd gen 4runners? When did TRD start? my 03 taco is a trd offroad and your 4runner and compnents are almost a carbon copy of it with minor differences

Yeah I think Toyota caught on with the tacoma
There was not a trd model however older models offered a trd supercharger install at the dealership, gotta be lucky to get one though
The TRD sticker is my top mod 😂
Adds 5 horsepower
@@PhoRunner and off road capability 😂
The sticker look shorter in length. Are those the 3 x 22 ones?

What roof rack do you have here? also do you need to take off the factory cross bars for it to be installed?
It’s a rola rack vertex with custom brackets I built. I’m using the factory rails but not the factor crossbars
Question. What seats besides original 3rd gen can I swap for (tundra, tacoma, etc.) for front?
I’m not sure those will fit but if you got a welder, you can make others fit by using the 4runner bracket and welding the new seat to it
You inspired me now I’m actively searching for third GEN 4runner
It’s an amazing vehicle to build out
Rockin the Costco adidas 😎

What fender flare do you have on there
Breather mod on the rear axle. Cheap insurance.

you consider stickers a mod?
If maintenance is a mod, so are stickers
Will a 3rd gen Bush Guard work on a 2nd Gen 4Runner?
The TRD stickers def added at least 10 hp 😂

Look around! Cheap ones can be found easily.
Those are accessories, not mods.
