I enjoyed your review of these pens. While I have no snail shells, i did think they would be very useful to paint Christmas decorations on wood or glass. Love the many colours.Thank you.
I like the white daisy/blue ground one best - today. Probably different another day. You do know you could grow your garden snails on by letting them eat more of your stuff, don't you?! 🤣🤭😮😈 Thank you for another interesting review, I definitely hate the cramped hand which comes from pumping the darned things, so these do look very useful.
This brand is extremely fashionable among French colorists 😉 But the eternal question with acrylic markers is always "how will they age?" I will be curious to hear from you in a month or two 😉 Thank you for your presentation, always very professional and complete!🌸🦄🌸
@@liloutriskell31000Tell me about it - I have spent a small fortune on various white acrylic markers and pens, only for them to dry up or clog. Doesn't matter how I store them - lay flat, in a jar, right end up or t'other way, they all dry up. I have even tried soaking the tips in warm water. I have concluded that such pens are great if one is planning to do a specific project with them (like a batch of snail shells haha), but for occasional use in other artwork, I think it's best to use a fine brush and actual acrylic paints. That's just from my own experiences of course.
@@melaniebaynes2730 i do agreeeee!! That’s the reason why I just ordered flash acrylics from Lefranc Bourgeois !!😉 And i ll improve my skills with very thin brushes too 😉😃 Hope so!!😂😉🌸🦄🌸
The shell display at the end is brilliant!!! 😍😍😍😍 The colorful shells against the light background look fantastic! I will totally steal your idea to display my own shell collection from all over the world, though I won't paint them. Loooooove your art and your art ideas!!!! Thank you!
That actually looked like a fun way to test the markers. I've been avoiding acrylic markers because I absolutely hate having to pump the darn things but these look like they will be quite handy. Thanks 😊
Love your shells! My favourite is the dark blue with white dots, closely followed by the other blue one with daisies! Also thank you for suggesting looking at Cuban painted snails! Wow!!! I thought English snail shells were beautiful, but those Cuban fellas really know how to put on a show! Haha
What a fabulous idea and project ( and outcome) love them all Terrific fun to be had, painting these. Will be trying this, and including my grandson's. Blessings Liz ♥️🇦🇺🦘
I love the shells. I especially love the dark blue with white dots - it really appeals to me. Thank you for a very comprehensive review of the Arrtx paint pens.
Another really clever idea! These markers seem to be the equivalent of those expensive Karin Deco markers. The snail shells look terrific - but I googled those Cuban snails, and WOW! Yours are adorable.
I absolutely love that you painted snail shells!!! 🐌😍 I have painted them, and also used them in my wax seals I’ve made.🤭 I have snail shells from when my aquarium mystery snails have sadly, passed on, we have kept their shells over the years. They are just too pretty. My now seven year old and I love to art with them. They are a lot of fun.☺️
Nature gifts us so…..much! Leaves, shells, trees, flowers endless supplies of colours & shapes. Like the way you use this for & in your art. I still think necklace when seeing your decorated shells, sure they could be filled with a putty like substance, drilled & threaded onto a cord etc. ( Prue Leith always wears „big“ „ bold“ necklace/ earrings ). Thanks
I don’t use acrylic markers, but I really enjoyed the episode. I love your little snails and my favorite is the blue one with the little dots. The yellow one with dots is a close second. Thank you for sharing.
What do you call those small snails ? -->"garden snails" ? WE call them "Feld-Wald-und-Wiesen-Schnirkelschnecken", Because they belong to the genus "Schnirkelschnecken" ! 🙂
@@LizChadertonArt Long names ? You know we are known for sometimes very long substantives. ( ? ) Like the irish. 🙂 Or indian names, like literally translated "fish-that-swims-in-the-water". -->other countries, other customs. ( is this correct ? )
these look very interesting. when you showed the shells my mind went straight to my rocks. Im wondering if they might work nicely. not sure of all the shaking think I am more of a pump type of girl. due to arm issues. but I noticed how the colors came out on the black and I thought that was kind of nice. ill have to check them out. didn't notice if you said if there was any smell? I can't use any thing with a smell lol. thanks for showing these. how long do you think they will last? they look like they are full.
Really enjoyed watching this Liz. I'm interested to know if the rub bits off when used on paper like my ohuhu markers do. The tip on them does look as though it works better than the bullet end or the fine end of the ohuhu ones. Arrtx have produced so many different ranges but i guess these are the latest ones - do you know? Thanks
No not the nib - the bullet nib rubs the paper off. I think the work better with very smooth paper but I definitely get the impression that the Arrtx ones don't do this.
Hullo Liz, I am wondering if these are the same as the KARIN markers? KARIN has pigment and dye markers, Both are ready out of the box and you get better coverage if you shake as you use them to keep the paint/ink mixed up ready to use. The tips look the same to me, but it is hard to see a difference in the video! You can buy the KARIN markers individually, but they are around $4.79 to $5.29 each. SO like everything they are less expensive in sets. I do hope you can compare them to the KARIN markers, I am curious if they are similar?
Do they dry matt or shiny on paper? The red shell with white hearts looks semi-shiny, but the blue one looks more matt. Do you think that PanPastel or pastel pencils would adhere to the surface under painted on paper with those markers?
For those snails if you take a canna beer and put it on a plate underneath your plant just before nightfall by in the morning, you should have some snails who drink too much beer. They die. Sorry
I just pick them up and relocate. I used to pop them into next door’s garden when the house was empty, but now we have neighbours I thought I’d better stop
I have really enjoyed watching this especially the Snail shell part who knew. We have a massive snail problem here too I may have a cunning idea
hee hee…. you might have a very beautiful snail problem soon….
I like the dotty ones, the yellow, the blue, and the purple one 💛💙💜
I do love a good dot!

I am still relocating the snails over the road rather than letting them chomp my plants!

you are right. I hope they last, but there’s no way of telling at the moment
If you seal them with a varnish, why wouldn’t they stay colored?
@@flag1941 hi! I m not talking about the colors applied on paper or whatever, but of the markers themselves. Most are drying etc after opening….

shells don’t need painting - works of art on their own. But I enjoyed the distraction
I immediately went to amazing and bought them. Thanks for the code. It worked in the US. ❤ have a blessed day Liz!

no smell at all. You are meant to shake the pump action ones too, as the paint settles out during storage. They would be perfect for stone painting
