I have been referring people to you, especially the "How to Select the Correct Onion Variety for Your Area" Seems to be a lot of ignorance out here about that. (I live in Wisconsin, long day varieties.) Best onion for me has been "Candy" (day neutral). Another bit of confusion for people seems to be set onions or plants. Used interchangeably. Very poor luck with set onions, only use those for scallions.

If you plant them that close, how do you do weed control? I've tried that method before and have a cheap load of weeds in between?
