Beautiful songs.❤️
It’s a group called joy spring. It’s the first time I’ve ever used just one group in a whole video but it seemed appropriate
Great video. April 22 was daddy's birthday. He would have been 103 this year, been gone since Christmas day 2014! He was my buddy..I sure do miss him. We were Buttons and Bows the clowns!! You are doing such a grand job. Feel like I'm there with you!! We have had high winds here too. I wanted to do some planting but the wind and my allergies just are making me wait. I have my seeds and got sand to mix with the Dino dirt I got from the landfill last Tuesday. Maybe things will calm down tomorrow. Take it easy do not overdo and hurt you. I found more jar lids so I got them. Blessings. Stay safe and warm. 💕🙏🥰
I’m a late bloomer too. Happy to discover your channel!
You are sure working hard for those onions. Never have I seen anyone work so hard. ♥️
You have NO IDEA how I wish I could still do what you are doing easily. My spine is so damaged that I can’t walk without assistance, and it WILL progress until I am in a wheelchair or bed bound. Still, I have my mind, my eyes, and my hands, so I can still contribute, even if only in a chair. I started gardening before I was two, because I was born in early June and we planted the backyard garden on Memorial Day weekend. GOOD FOR YOU!
Thanks so much for sharing your story, Vicki. I wish this was not your inevitable fate. I hear about new technologies that can help heal. I pray they can be released and people benefit with renewed bodies. I hope I can continue to let you live vicariously through my efforts and I hope to be educated by all that you know because you know much more than me. God bless you.
❤. I admire you. I am 70 years old and trying to garden in Las Vegas, NV. I am improving and learning. It is so much fun and rewarding. I have a very small raised bed garden. It is so rewarding and I am learning so much. I have a young person who helps me 2 times a week and she is learning as well. It is so nice to be retired and have time to pursue my dreams. Thank you, you are an inspiration.😊
It is always so nice to be out in nature and get things in the garden. I find this time just peaceful when I plant away. Looks like a good plot. Happy gardening !
Love the background music
Thanks for letting me know. ❤️
Thanks for the demo and the music(?)
Nice work Kaye Kittrell.
Thank you kindly
I love onions going to plant me a Bunch
Wonderful! Please let me know how they do
My dad always used a big long handled hoe to rake the tilled soil into raised rows and I also did when I had an inground garden.. Much easier on the back than kneeling or shoveling. i love the music as well.
this shows how to use the hoe without back strain. ruclips.net/video/3bZ8C9J1dSE/видео.html
Way to go girl. And I LOVE the choice of music. ❤
Thank you for song and sharing artist name. Made me think of another song, "sheltered in the arms of God" by Dottie Rambo.
It’s the first time I’ve used all one group on a video but that’s the name of the group all the songs in the video were made by them
You're much more nimble than I, down on those knees and all. I grow onions from seed in 2-gallon wicking tubs on shelves inside my greenhouse or outside in Summer, all while sitting on a tall bar stool. Laughing at my laziness? I'll check back in 9 years.
Good music!
Thank you. I love this video and the music you chose. The Lord's blessings to you.
This is my 2016 Patreon video. Would love your support!
lots of onions you planted there Kaye
See today's video to see how that turned out!
Awesome job! I can imagine the wonderful crop this year👏
We planted three types of short day onions in my raised beds from dixondale this last year and got a huge harvest. You’ve inspired me to plant even more this year. I think I’m going to involve all my kids and see if we can get an even larger harvest and possibly sell at the farmer’s market. Great video! Thanks
That's such a great idea! Getting the kids involved is the best ever. If you want to be inspired, follow Lizzy Lou's Family Farm on Instagram. See her post today of the girls sleeping in their car seats. I actually traveled to NC to interview her in 2017 when I still lived in LA, and they were babies. Now, her daughters are helping at the farmer's markets, being homeschooled and loving the farm life. Wish I could have done that. All the best. If interested, here's the video I did at her farm. This was before she switched from vegetables to flowers, which started the whole distillation of flower scents, skin care, and AirBnB. Unstoppable. To witness the twins grow up on Instagram is something. ruclips.net/video/-ocWQ2e7o8Q/видео.html
Your onion field is looking great! Growing on that scale is exhausting. You deserve a rest. Now you're going to exhaust yourself skiing! I think you may drop a few more pounds, even if you hadn't planned to! lol
I shot this video on March 22 and I left on the 24th and I was back on the 28th and because my son loves to eat like I do we had steak and potatoes and bacon and eggs and English muffins and I did not lose any weight but I hung onto the 10 pound loss somehow. ❤️
Good job. Looks good
Great job!
Very interested to see how this turns out. That was A Lot of work!
I came back and took some notes for this method. Thank you Kaye, keep planting!
Thanks so much!!
Potatoes tomorrow God willing.
I moved to TN from Florida a little over a year ago and I tell you what, the wind and 60° here it's like windy and 60° there it's really cold at least to me! Maybe I'm just getting old, and my knees don't work the way they used to! Love your videos, but don't over do it!
I just subscribed to your channel. So glad I found you! This is my 4th year gardening and I found my new favorite love in it ❤ It’s relaxing, peaceful, mentally challenging 🧠 and exciting. I will do it forever or as long as my body will let me. I’m looking forward to watching your videos 👍🏼
Fantastic! Welcome! I have hundreds of videos from my tiny CA garden from 2012-2020 on my channel and how this big place, so I cover a LOT of ground in my videos. Enjoy!
I have told you before my Darling MONTY DON uses a plank of wood sow then turn the wood over and you have a perfect line x
That was so satisfying and relaxing to watch. The music was beautiful. I've been in my little greenhouse all morning starting seeds. I feel like I am so behind, but plants WANT to grow, so we will see. Love you!
Wonderful, my friend! Are you coming for the festival at Rory's farm? It's not cheap, but think we can't miss it.
@@Latebloomershow I hope so!
Good night smart and beautiful, GOD BLESS your precious loving heart 😇🌹🦜🦋🐞🐝
My Dixondale onions are on their way ! I had to see this method.
Great! There has been so much rain since planting I feel I should order another round just in case. Let me know how it goes! ❤️
My pickings were slim at Dixondale but I managed to score some. I’ll not be planting until middle of May.Ive just found Dixondale and I will order earlier . Good luck. ! Happy planting! Looking awesome!
Wow Kaye!!! You go girl!!! I don't get why you put the fertilizer in the middle? Roots of Onion are not that deep and not even close to the onions?? What is this technique called? and where did you hear of it? If your garden thrives you are going to be one very very busy lady in the fall.
This is a very specific method put out by Dixondale Farms who is the biggest seller of onions in the country so I hope it works
Mine are still struggling. Not sure what’s going on but I feel like they should be growing now. And they are getting a little soft too. Probably going to pull them out and plant new ones.
Hello Kaye. You look smashing in fuchsia I love that color.
I buy my starts locally, unfortunately I never find red, white or sometimes yellow. I’m not a fan of yellow, I find them too sweet for my liking. So just white again this year. They been in 3-4 weeks?
I wish I could find red, I think they look beautiful especially when they start to bulb out. Thank you for sharing.
Dixon dale sent me the fertilizer to use. The reason you put the fertilizer well away from the roots is because they use Chemical fertilizer 20/20/20. Which would burn the roots. You are using organic fertilizers. No need to make the fertilizer trench. You should have put the organic fertilizer out about 3 months before setting out the onions. To give time for the fertilizer to break down
I’m always late! Thanks so much for the advice!!
They do look rather close. Is that how you were told to plant them?. Good luck. Enjoy your ski trip.
I’m back already. I didn’t get these edited before I left. But thanks, I had a nice time with my son
Yes that is the Dixondale Farms planting method very specific, where I got the onions So I hope it works.
@@Latebloomershow I am happy you are back safe and sound. I am sure you are recharged with a lot of happiness and love from your son. How many days were you with him? Take care and I am sure you are checking out the gardens as soon as the morning sun rose. Hope the fires avoid you.
@@dkulikowski I was with him most of 4 days. It was wonderful.,
@@Latebloomershow Are or were the fires around you?
Great video! You inspire me to try to plant bigger onions with the metod you
Show here but where do you buy your fertilizer? I always found bone meal from walmart small package.
Give IV Organics a try. You will find the link in the description under any recent video as well as a discount code! Wonderful family company USA made.
@@Latebloomershow Thank you!
Kate, what is the name of the green spreader thingy?
Tricia
hosstools.com/product/row-maker/ It's a row maker, not spreader. Hope that helps! The points are somewhat adjustable.
They are closer than mine.
Nice tunes. That's Dixondale's planting method, right? Looking good.
Yes! Thank you!

Hard to hear you over the music 🎶
That was the point of the music because there was so much wind you really couldn’t understand what I was saying anyway
