I teach second and we usually do a ten day countdown with themed days! Airplane day, bubble gum blowing contest, water day, board game day, and lemonade day are some of our themes 🤗
have a pyjama party/movie day. have the kids bring in snacks and their favorite movie and everyone gets to vote which one they get to watch. they can wear pyjamas.
My super chatty kids have LOVED silent ball this year. If you’ve never played silent ball, you just put the kids in a circle and they have to silently throw a ball around the circle. If they talk, they’re out. If they make a bad throw or don’t catch the ball thrown at them (if it’s possible to catch it), they’re out. My kids beg me to play it all the time 😂
I like to get large pieces of bulletin board paper from our supply closet and rip off a section big enough to cover each of my tables. Throw on some crayons, markers, fun pens, etc.! It sounds super simple but the kiddos love it!
You can do a minute to win it. To that you can do anything. Give the kids one minute to complete that task. And it works for any grade level. I have done this when I was sixth grader. A long time ago. I believe Michelle Emerson has a video on it not really sure. But it’s a lot of fun and easy to perp
My situation is a little bit different since i teach 8th grade but grades our due this week and computers will be collected to so we are surviving on different packets and end of the year activities. Love your ideas as well, we did the hula hoop game in APE and the kids loved it!!
I have my kids make board games to go with our math standards. They get to pick the theme, the style, and the questions. They just have to make it grade level and have an answer key. They always turn out so cute!
Our students learn Rock, Paper Scissors, Hop in PE then it is an event during Field Day. The really like it. Have you heard about the PAC Man game? If your school has a basketball court with the lines painted on the ground it is a fun game!! All you need is 3 short pieces of pool noodle. While the rest of the class walks the court follow the painted lines , the 3 students with pool noodles walk the lines trying to catch students. The last student caught gets to choose 2 other students to be the catchers for the next round.
We are doing beach day kids bring a beach towel, we watch Moana eat goldfish and kool aid, and I give them my gift (a beach ball) and they all sign each others.

Have a great end of your school year! I'm not done until June 17th!
You can pair the “Ro-Sham-Go” game with the book “The Legend of Rock Paper Scissors”
I just did the rock, paper, scissors game for P.E. today and they loved it!! A group of them kept playing at recess too!
