Thank you so much for showing classroom with multiple disabilities. I teach multiple disabilities at the high school level. All of my students are wheelchair mobility, but they work with their peers in my class. I'm so grateful that I have the privilege of serving these special students. I'm a former special education student myself.
High school special Ed teacher here too! I like to get on the buses that my kids ride and introduce myself to the Littles so that we have a connection when they get to me.🌻
I loved this video so much!! I’m a teacher from Brazil and here the policy of special education is so sad, so ineffective that everybody suffer: the included students, other students, teachers, community… Is so wonderful to see that there are places like the one you show in the video.. Congrats! You are really inspiring, people!❤
I like the use of the Big Mack Communication Switches and smaller ones too. I use them for everything in my class. I also have an Ablenet All-Turn Spinner for each of my students.
In the back of my mind, I keep on hearing the song from my teenagers. This is how we do it because this is a beautiful and meaningful experience for everyone.
Thank you for showing me a day in the adapted curriculum. I start as a teacher for adapted Curriculum for Sid/Pid this coming school year. This is exactly what I envisioned! Great video!
This message is going out to basically everyone, please give special Ed kids respect. It's not funny to bully them. I have ADHD and had my fair share of being made fun of. Please just give respect to the aides and teachers.
Special Ed should be set up in a diverse way at every school. In other words, Special Ed teachers should always meet full qualification so that none are better qualified than any others are, but school administrators almost never grow up and therefore generally just want Special Ed teachers to have at least the bare minimum requirements in order to teach Special Ed, and there shouldn’t be a bare minimum with Special Ed whatsoever!
@@TheAdaptedClassroom No. When I was a kid, I couldn’t go to my neighborhood elementary school because Special Ed teachers there were not the best qualified to deal with students with learning disabilities. Besides, the principal there at the time was not properly addressing needs of students with behavior problems!

I’m sorry that you’ve experienced bullying. But how are they making fun of and not giving respect to the students in this video?
