I'm digging the that loud old mechanical pump sound it really brings the do it yourself attitude together

Great guide, did this also myself!
This works also in lhd cars and the bottle is from w202 estate. You can also use the mb pump if you cut the plug, solder wires directly to the contacts (use heatshrink) and bend them a bit. That pump is also a bit loud, though the new location probably makes any pump loud.

For anybody wondering from what car that washer bottle is from, it is from a W202 Mercedes

You may want to give 3M Dual Lock “Velcro” a try to hold the washer bottle. Look at the 250 pins per square inch. Any more than that and it’s like a permanent install - very strong. They have ones with outdoor adhesive. I have found the Command Strips give up in the outdoors sooner than expected. Nice work and keep it up!

Thanks for the suggestions. I never knew velcro could be so scientific. I'll see how long the Command strips last for and if needs be will switch it out to for some stronger stuff. Cheers.

I have used the Suzuki Cappuccino washer bottle, which fits in the same position and uses the pump of the original washer bottle. I ordered it in Japan, costed me around 35 Euro in total.

The Cappuccino washer bottle is the most popular for sure. But I think people have realised because when I looked the cheapest I could find was £50. Hence me getting this one instead.

@@FastRust I just looked it up again, and you are right I also paid 48.28 Euro for it, that did include shipping. So that's a bit more then I stated earlier😅 So yes you picked a cheaper solution, which is better for a budget build.

Ah bollocks. Thought you'd got a right bargain there. Yeah you can make it work somehow. People cram them up beside the ABS also. Up to you. I do prefer it in the scuttle though. Makes a much tidier bay
