Great videos mate, I’ve had this kit for a while but unfortunately not had the time to fit it, hopefully seeing you doing so will motivate me to do it more! Look forward to seeing your solution to mounting the Intercooler and piping it, unfortunately I have an na so my light motor assembly is in the way for where you’re most likely gonna pipe
Thanks mate! The kit has been a breeze to fit, you could have it done in a day I'm pretty sure - takes me longer due to filming 🙄 The intercooler fitment and plumbing is my next job so I'll be sure to document that entire process as well. You might have already seen it but a few episodes ago I relocated the radiator which is going to help with the intercooler install massively. Not sure how applicable it is on a mk1, but it's something you could look into. Cheers.
In this configuration you keep the throttle where it is from factory. I'm currently adapting the setup to 2 throttles which I will document in a later video.
@@FastRust I see, you wouldn’t happen to know if this kit would work in a LHD vehicle? I asked g19 but their email response time is lacking. What’s the purpose of the second throttle? I would like to do this to my rusty 1.6 as a starter project as I’d rather break my current one than whatever cleaner one I get next 😆
LHD I don't know, sorry. I did see a post on G19s Facebook page months ago about it, maybe have a search on there. The reason I'm fitting a 2nd throttle is to reduce noise, it was so loud with just one. When I've tested it I will do an update vid.
Absolutely brilliant stuff..... I've the exact same car and have been looking at g19 options and the BOFI Salon Motorsport kits. Watching this closely and subb'd! Curious to know if you'll be needing a beefier clutch when this is all in.....
@@FastRust not sure if links are allowed .. but here's mine: photos.app.goo.gl/EAxAJzFsS313H1zr6 and my build pics so far photos.app.goo.gl/sBbFiB7U5fUYha9D7 Decided to derust.... Sort suspension and handling before turning up the power. Still undecided to be honest.... It's a lot of money, so I'll be watching closely to get your 'seat of the pants dyno' testing done once on boost!
Car looks fantastic, quality work you've put in so far, and it'll be a great base should you decide to go forced induction later on. I decided to supercharge mine first purely so I could make this build series, then focus on supporting mods after. Truthfully I had hoped the series would be more popular, which would justify me spending some more money on the car, but so far this isn't the case!
can't wait for the next vid..... great work so far - you're inspiring me to supercharge my MX5!
Great to hear. Thanks a lot! Next vid should be done by tomorrow 👍🏻

Thanks James
Installs seems pretty easy, did you have to reroute the throttle or anything ? I’ve seen other kits need that

You and me both John! Will update when the car is tuned. Great to hear you're enjoying the series. Cheers! James

Ah, really good of you thanks. Your's is an SVT right? So 6 speed and LSD out of the box??
