    Just want to throw this out there so people who watch this know, MintyPi is a project designed by Wermy and Helder of sudomod, wermy himself has a youtube channel with a full guide on how to make one of these yourself (helder is the one who designed and sells the custom pcb/electronics needed to build a mintypi). I am not endorsed or affiliated with either of them its simply a project Ive been following for awhile and wanted to make sure that people know who designed and originated this item.

      DemonicDragonX5 link to sudomod is in the description also if anyone want to get a kit when they are available again. I missed it but I will definitely a kit when the pre order goes live again.

      DemonicDragonX5 Absolutely correct! And in addition we partner with them directly for the parts and supplies to build them! We have been part of the sudomod community for a long time! Anybody looking to build your own or just get involved with this awesome community should head over to sudomod.com!!

      RGN Pro Systems do you guys sell any prebuilt ones?

  • @AJRedfernMedia
    @AJRedfernMedia 7 лет назад +3

    FYI the boards are currently available for order again along with a safe shut down and battery monitor board. Wermy at SudoMod asked that if people sell them that they don't use Wermy's promo images which RGN are. On a side note this is is a very fun project to build and the SudoMod community are super helpful, I also made the official startup splash screen used in this project.

    Hello! Are the buttons 'hard and tactile' or soft like Gameboys? I'm looking for soft buttons for my project but i only get the hard, clicky, momentary buttons - I prefer the soft ones. Any recommendations?

    • @jeremyaster7470
      @jeremyaster7470 7 лет назад

      well i want to build this soon and i looked from the original creator, "Wermy" is his channel name and he says to use ds lite buttons.

    • @filmaticpictures9693
      @filmaticpictures9693 6 лет назад

      if they are DS Lite buttons, they're soft. I think the DSI had the clicky buttons....

    • @didnotkn0
      @didnotkn0 6 лет назад

      The D-Pad and action buttons are membrane buttons so they are "soft" but the shoulder buttons are tactile so they are "clicky"

      Oh stop. Lets put down the violin for a second. You act like no one values the time in building products. I work my ass off to be under appreciated just to support my family. I am also in the process of building a software product and yeah its tough. You have to look at it through the eyes of a customer. What we see at the end of the day is a product and we have to put a value on it. Simple as that.... As an outsider looking in...you may want to cut down on your build time. You apparently have a flawed solution if you have to spend 45 hrs soldering components in a unit. Raspiboy kit has a genius build system. Hand built in 20 minutes. Yes the case is not as nice as yours but if you were able to take their genius build with your genius case.....you may have something. Super short build process that will allow you to concentrate more on the cosmetic build of the case. Then you could sell units at 5 to 1 at a lower price and still make more money.

      Hi ETA, I watched this video, I love your idea of a Pi3 handheld you made but I think it has only one problem, it doesn't have a case, if it had one it would be perfect. Anyway I'll keep your idea in my mind for building one in a near future.

      Your welcome, I forgot to say, that doesent include a soldering iron, multimeter, or screwdrivers, but those are cheap depending on what you get, I use a 10$ weller one, and a multimeter is pretty cheap second hand.
