As a musician and avid music lover, I have no Idea how I missed this group. I feel like I'm from a different place, but this feels like home. Crazy right, well 2023 is about to start and I got a feeling its about to be wild.

WE NINETIES GIRLS INVENTED THIS AESTHETIC, I am grateful to see the natural evolution of cool (that we were a part of, you old people didn't appear out of nowhere)... Massive shoutout not just to these incredibly creative musicians but also to the engineers who finetuned the entire landscapes perfectly for both tracks. The effects on the vocals and instruments, as well as the mixing is absolutely brilliant.

What I'll say is they really dial in the tone of every instrument, the amps and drums, how everything is mic'd, and how it's recorded, processed, mixed and mastered to achieve what seems the exact desired effect. This is one of those bands where you can listen to a track over and over, keep picking up new details and really dig how brilliantly everything is put together. ❤

Jenny Lee Lindberg, the bass player. She is easily one of the best bass players out there, her grooves are complicated, beautiful and always perfect. This is one of the few Warpaint songs where she sings any lead vocals, although she sings backing vocals on almost all of their songs. She also put out a solo album last year calling herself JennyLee; I don't like it as much as Warpaint, but there are some good tracks.
Their voices are so mesmerizing, like I'm in a trance and cant stop listening to this. So hypnotic....takes me to a place where I am surrounded by old friends, a place that is reminiscent of something familiar....so much I cry! Absolutely in love!
I repeated this song 4 times while sprinting on the treadmill-over 5miles, thank you music God's for Warpaint, all the success and best to these roses😘😘

We first heard these incredible women in 2012 and I felt like I’d been transported to a world that finally made a little sense. There is such texture, truth, originality in their sound. One of those bands that is so OG that no one sounds like them and no one ever will.
Whoever came up with the idea for this video and to blend the two songs together is a GENIUS! Two really great songs that go well together and just cool, clean visuals all the way through. I've watched this video probably a million times, saw Warpaint open for DM in Vancouver and only just now realize this was directed by Laban Pheidias. CAUGHT CLEAN!!!
It's cool how you can tell by the gravity and inertia that it's slow motion but their lips sync to the actual song, so they must have been singing and dancing to a sped up version of the song, precisely as much faster as the video is slower.
You can alter the playback speed of the video on RUclips. I think 1.5x speed is still a little slow but 1.75x speed is a little fast. Best way to gauge is by the speed of the skateboarder and how long him and the skateboard stay in the air during tricks.
I have been listening to this song and to Warpaint for years, and it just clicked for me that disco//very = discovery.

These are 90s girls haha. I'm the same age they are: afaik, they were born in the early 80s.
They've been a band for 20 years. 2 were born in 1980, 1 in 1981, and 1 in 1986 (who replaced the original drummer born in 1978).

It's cool how you can tell by the gravity and inertia that it's slow motion but their lips sync to the actual song, so they must have been singing and dancing to a sped up version of the song, precisely as much faster as the video is slower.
You can alter the playback speed of the video on RUclips. I think 1.5x speed is still a little slow but 1.75x speed is a little fast. Best way to gauge is by the speed of the skateboarder and how long him and the skateboard stay in the air during tricks.
