- Showing how to paint mags a rough tiger stripe pattern. I've experimented with some different options with the goal of painting some rifles next, starting with my mk12 mod 57.
By far, the best results I've seen with no airbrushing. Your technique was easy to replicate. Thanks for sharing

My initial idea was to do the NAVSOG Tigerstripe but opted for your style instead. Accidentally overdid the brown which made it look like a NAVSOG Tigerstripe. I guess it's still a win. lmao

Ive found that hanging the parts from the ceiling in your garage and spraying around the whole thing is the fastest way to do this. Also, I'll usually allow for 27 hours for the paint to cure between layers and after the cure time, I'll wipe it down with some isopropyl alcohol to remove the cured chemicals from the first layer before adding another layer.
Dope, I've always done the king lazy rust oleum camo with lazily draped laundry bag. I tried doing some M81 mags recently, came out alright but my color palette wasn't quite right. This looks easier to do than my M81, might do an upper this style
Ended up making some ABU/UCP style colored ones using this method. Honestly the best and cost saving ones I've seen, imho.
Love the tiger stripe camouflage pattern. Excellent work. And btw... love cigar city brewery too. Maduro brown ale is my favorite.
