The best part about this being seed based is that there is a random seed out there where every door is randomly in the right spot

You do know that a stillborn baby is a fully grown baby human that died in the womb and has to be delivered the same way as a live child, just in a horrifically sad setting bc the parents are grieving as the baby is being delivered…right? Tell me you know the difference..

If you truly know every game cell by heart you'd be able to traverse them with maximum efficiency resulting in the fastest speedrun
I love the idea that in world, the Dragonborn is just walking through random doors until he gets where he needs to be.

This mod is so wacky and cool. Definitely a curse that Sheogorath would gift you to watch in amusement the machinations you’d be landed into.
Every "can you beat Skyrim with..." challenge is always "yes, immediately yes, it's not that hard to beat Skyrim no matter what goofy shit you're doing." This might be the first mod where the answer is no. I'm into it.

I like to imagine that the lore justification for this mod is that you are either a mage from winter hold and one of the students messed up a teleport spell on you or you have been cursed by the gods or some daedric prince to walk the earth in a nonsensical way as punishment.

i always appreciate the inclusion of fable's background music in these, it's a nice little nostalgic trip alongside skyrim shenanigans
You know whatd be interesting? A speedrunning category for this. Imagine how neat itd look, like random seed speedrun or set seed, bcoz people would just be going in and out of doors and setting up stuff for the future like going to elewen dropping gear then tping out and starting the quest, etc etc. It would be so cool
It feels like, no matter where I go, no matter what I watch, there's someone turning something into a Roguelike.

I actually love this. It gets around the problem that games have run into where wikis exist to map out every inch of your game! Now you get a chance to map out your own unique experience, while still playing the same game.
Honestly, I find your videos pretty underrated. They’re quite funny and I really enjoy them.
Honestly with the whole thing of Pokemon/Zelda randomized race videos out there, this mod sounds like great potential to have a Skyrim randomizer race be built up from it! First to beat X quest sort of deal, though I feel like it'd be best to have it be quests such as the main one or the DLCs like you have planned for your scavenger hunt. Awesome work from both you and ddmlink as usual!!
The main quest. Dawnguard, Dragonborn, thieves guild, dark brotherhood, college of winter hold and the bards college would all work good
The Pelagius wing door literally made me cuss. That was awesome 😂
You could make an incredibly detailed map of skyrim this way, with shortcuts. Lik a clip board, with routes on how to quickly get to the major hubs. I think it would be a cool twist to try to limit or remove the greater oudoors (but that would limit places with only one door). It's like an improbability drive. You could make a big map of skyrim with all entrances and connect then through pins and strings. Using colours to identify types of loops (multiple dungeons or paths to hubs). It's would be like traveling through demiplanes, if you were to remove or limit the outside.

This would actually make an excellent story. Some dude gets incredibly powerful teleportation abilities that are tied to doorways and everyone thinks he's some sort of master wizard and it turns out it's a curse and he has no idea how to control it
And yet he manages to over come his obstacles lol
I wish there was a way for NPCs to use the randomized doors (since the mod says that it only affects the player character). Part of the fun playing the New Vegas World Randomizer mod from last year was that NPCs also got lost through randomized doors 🤣
There is, I just haven't implemented it yet. I've been using this particular method of randomizing the doors as it will make it easier for me to debug and bring the mod to Xbox.

@@Ddmlink is there any difference between xbox and Pc? Because I know alot of mods work better on PC and I so have a laptop I can use your mod on hut if its the same on Xbox thats perfect. Downloading it on Xbox right now. Can’t wait to play it. Thank you for making this mod.
@@cdntrooper3078 As of right now, the only difference is that the PC version can use the MCM. Other than that, they are the same. Someone playing on PC will have the same experience as someone playing on Xbox

Wait, isn't this kind of the setting of planescape: torment? It was Sigil, the city of doors, where portals to all planes of existence were everywhere. I remember there was a quest with a lady who was scared of even walking under any arches, fearing they might count as doors and thus might get her lost in the planes
It sounded absurd at first, and still does, but it looks like a whole lotta fun! Also, it would make for some very unique playthroughs. Might try this out myself...

this would be a cool idea to use with one of those journal mods. you could keep track of where doors lead with your in-game journal and have a quick reference without having to leave the game

I don't really have anything to add. If anybody wants to know why I logged all of the doors by hand instead of automatically doing it, it was so that I could categorize them and shuffle them using logic so that nothing becomes inaccessible. At least once all of the bugs are worked out.

the thing i love the most about Joov's content is that i usually watch the VoD channel first then the video comes out on that same topic, but they feel so different and you kinda get double the amount of content
This is the video that finally made me fall in love with Skyrim. I've tried getting into a number of times and I've even watched and enjoyed a number of videos from this channel before. I may not play this mod but I'm determined to give Skyrim another go because it finally looks fun

I recently started playing Skyrim for the first time ever so I’m playing and greatly enjoying the ‘easy’ mode, but I love watching these videos of people finding so many different ways to continue to enjoy a game they’ve loved for so many years!
I like how the map doesn't say where your at makes it more intense and mysterious. Makes it feel like a new game cause theirs no sense of direction
This mod must be why they have switches on the inside of locked doors/paths that you'd never see first in a normal playthough.

I could never forget stillborn cave, i stumbled upon it early into my first ever playthrough and it has stuck in my mind ever since
I call this "Sheogorath's Blessing"
I installed it immediately, amazing experience (i'm playing survival mode as well). I've been using Excel to keep track of what leads into what, coloring the cells according to what type of area I've landed in. One sheet for the open world and then new sheet for every main city area (I've found Whiterun and Riften so far. Brilliant, my Khajiit is thriving and I'm having so much fun. No clue how I'll finish the main quest tho xD Haven't even found the Dragonsreach yet.

It has dawned on me that the first time you went through the door at Helgen might be a whole lot more deadly than an encounter with storm cloaks. Stuck in Helgen might not be so bad.

When I heard about the Fallout warp randomizer, I was even more excited for Skyrim.
