Every person I've seen who's in been in jiujitsu multiple years (eg _every_ black belt i've met) has ended up in the urgent care for an injury, many of them requiring surgery. Many of them are crippled/disabled in some way permanently. For my side I had a dislocated thumb. We need a better way to train.
@@PierreCohenForReal Right, but part of my point is that though it wasn't crippling in the first fight/spar, they all ended up crippled eventually. To me the line of safety is a large proportion of participants would have 0 long term injuries from their lifetime of participation. I'm not sure if there is a solution to this...

Yeah unlike other martial arts, you can spar at 100% with BJJ. Can’t do that with punches and kicks
