The finale to the iPhone Detox series!! Thank you to everyone who watched and supported the series, it truly was an eye opening experience and I will definitely be spending more time with android in the future! (Pixel 7 Pro coming soon) The channel has grown a lot since the first video in the series was released and it's crazy we are nearly at 15k subs! Anyways, enjoy the movie, the OnePlus 7 Pro is truly one of the best phones I've ever tested...
I really loved my OP7P, great phone, awesome design and in-hand feeling. Burning was really an issue, having used other OLED phones without issues, the OP7P was my first smartphone with burning, but OnePlus covered it under warranty with 11 months and replaced the screen without many questions, truly great service. I wish there was a OnePlus version of the Oppo Find X8 Pro, currently I'm kind of dissapointed with the telephoto camera performance of my S24U, and Samsung doesn't seem to use bigger sensors in the future so it may be time to switch brands.
It was ahead of its time in 2019 but, primitive by today's standards. Processors and other internals were much smaller 6 years ago so, there was plenty of room for the servos and other mechanisms necessary for the pop-up camera. Today, that's not the case. From an engineering standpoint, internal space is at a premium so, that space is better used for larger batteries, RAM expansion, modern vapor Chambers and advanced charging technology. In fact, that's why pop up cameras went the way of the dinosaur. Still, if you can lay your hands on one and can put a custom ROM on it, why not use it? Especially, if you don't care about modern advancements.
Recently broke my phone but didn't have a high budget to even get a decent mid ranger, and the more budget oriented options were ehhh meh at best. So I scoured fb marketplace (the only reason I still use facebook lol) and found a store that sold used phones. Found a OnePlus 7T Pro for a reasonable price and been using it for the past couple days and man, it's been an amazing experience. The 7 pro was my dream phone since it was released and to find the "better" version at a good price was just awesome, and I'm very happy to own it
Same kinda experience for me trying to find this phone too haha! Scourged Facebook marketplace and other used marketplaces to find this phone. One of the best used phones I've ever used
bro your videos are really good in terms of quality and personally i prefer these kind of smartphone reviews cause it's about practical usage and what we need as a student, i really appriciate the efforts you put in your videos. ❤
Still rocking one of these myself! Main complaint is the camera quality for me (especially the telephoto, as you mentioned). Performance is decent but there are some weird glitches I've been experiencing where one or two apps won't load when opened. They'll hang for several seconds then close without animation back to the home screen. Only fix I've found is just restarting the phone or reinstalling the app (the former being the easier solution). Seconding your mention on weak gaming performance. Battery is starting to show age but it took a WHILE. Only the past few months of the several years I've had it have I been noticing it feeling weaker. Thinking of upgrading to the 13 or the Open 2 (if that releases next year) but the 7 Pro is pretty good still; definitely has held up. I'll miss the lack of camera hole punch. The behind display stuff that ZTE/Nubia/Redmagic has been doing seems cool but I'm not impressed with history of lacking long-term support. I'll stick with the more reliable brand(s) with their more feature-rich OS.
Currently using Nord CE 3 and its way too good.. with the smoothness and most importantly with supervooc charging it last more than a day with a 5000mAh battery. I bought it after hearing a relatives IQOO's battery drain and a recommendation from a friend. Now I think it was worthy. And the camera also takes good photos in good lighting conditions I was impressed.. Even the community is too good for support 👍👍 . With the upcoming OOS15, it will be feature packed. Really liking this feeling. Truly Good to be a OnePlus user...
I am using the same phone from last 4 years. This phone has not failed me even once. The battery is definitely aging as it need a charge by the end of the evening. But other then that is amazing. So waiting for a strong reason to change. Other then foldables i don't find any phone as it's successor.
i kind a love this kind of videos where in we can visit some of the old phones when the tech world was still the world of future and fun unlike now there are just all about performance, branding, and business stuff
Howd you get a 7pro without a working popup camera? Thats one of the best features about the phone..maybe you should buy your used phones from amazon, reebelo or backmarket.. they usually are refurbished and you can return if not in satisfactory condition
OnePlus is not sold in new Zealand (OPPO is here) so it's very hard to get one on the used marketplace, so when I found this one for $100nzd ($60usd) it was too good to pass up. Usually goes for at least $250nzd. Reebelo in new Zealand doesn't offer the OnePlus 7 pro and Amazon was at least $500nzd. But thanks for suggesting haha, I really try hard to find these phones for a reasonable price and will keep finding new options when possible!
@Upwards._ oh ok understood.appreciate your dedication and youve actually become one of my favorite tech channels for your unique review style..I've had the 7pro and also the 7tpro McLaren edition and both were some of my favorite model of OnePlus until the 7pro fell and cracked and I sold the McLaren after the battery wore down after heavy use for two years..ive been using the 8t and the 10t since 2022..I think you'd like those since they both have flat screens.. if you ever decide to review either of those I can sell you one since I've just upgraded to the 12 for an offer I couldn't turn down
The OP7 Pro, OP7T Pro, Galaxy S10-Series, Galaxy A52 (SM-A525), and the S23/S23+ and S24 Ultra are very good They're better than my A55 I doesn’t need 120 Hz, 90 Hz was enough for me, but i hate my Redmi Note 10 5G with his laggy display on the 2nd day i have it. More than 100 % of DCI P3 on the 7 Pro and 7T Pro are better than my 80-90 % of SRGB/BT 709 on my A55 Btw, i don't want QHD and curved screen even though this was the boss. Why didn't i opt for that 7 Pro instead of my beloved Nokia... (it was in 2018 that i got that low-end nokia, and i wanted an iPhone)

technically there is which is the oneplus 13, but its still more like an oppo phone tbh
Get the Motorola edge 2024 feels a little bit like the 7 pro
I miss this phone. This was peak Oneplus for me IMO.
For sure, great phone!
I like the shape of those cameras unlike the present OnePlus with big circular camera bump
