- I wasn't even supposed to be on this flight but I'm so glad I was because it turns out I won the Malaysian Airlines lottery.
You see on the outside this A350 looks very Malaysian but on the inside it has a distinctly Scandinavian feel. Why? Watch the video and I'll explain all and even explain how an emergency landing led to me being on this flight in the first place and capturing a stunning avgeek view of Qantas' most famous new aircraft.

I really love MH also. Their crew are lovely and uniform so stunning. Great to see them getting back up to their award winning levels. They deserve it. Great video
Enroute to Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia; I always fly Malaysian Airlines. Whether it’s Business or Economy class I’ve always had a good flight. Aircrew are always excellent. ❤
The lovey lady IFS in the orange uniform is “P”. She was one batch my senior at cabin crew training way back in the late 80’s. Good to see her still flying 😊

Malaysia Airlines business class also exceeded my expectations! The food and hospitality are really superb!
As a Danish person, we where once very proud of SAS. It was a great airline and it was well respected. These days they are a shadow of them self, and are constantly in problems financially. Its sadly just not good. But i am happy you had a great flight. At least other airlines can use SAS equipment to give a great flight. Good video as always.

I haven't flown MAS in years. I do hope they're on the up after those unfortunate couple of incidences. But I thought they always had great onboard customer service. Now I want satay!
This is like the good old days of MAS.
I'm still burnt from my experiences last year during the catering debacle... Probably won't fly MAS for a while if I have a choice! Recently, I looked into a KL - Shanghai flight (one way) on business and MAS was MUCH more expensive than SIA - and crazily, the non-direct via Hong Kong codeshare with Cathay Pacific was even more expensive!! The pricing was so crazy - ended up choosing SIA and was happy.
Hi Dennis. I flew this route in reverse in March 2023. Loved the satay. I was in seat 1 which has a lot more legroom than the other rows. It was a great flight slightly spoiled by a family across the aisle that would let their sleep. When it went to sleep the grandparents kept picking it up that made it cry again. Thanks for the video. The flight crew were brilliant and exceeded my expectations🙃🙂
The best IFE to me is the window seat and the view outside / landscapes / Mountains / The Ocean's / Cities, You deserve that business class flight & that awesome gin and tonic drink after what you have been through lately!✈
I'm flying MH later this year and I am looking forward to it. A various mix of medium haul international, short and medium haul domestic. A good test for the product.
Booked MH ex MEL for this specific aircraft. Then... aircraft swap to a 'normal' MH A350.
Positive, however, my seat fritzed out so I was brought forward to the empty Business Suites cabin. So I still love MH 😊

I love your opener - This is Malaysia Airlines ,but better - we’ve both travelled on the tired 330 ex Adelaide so travelling on another carriers business class product is of course going to be better - better everything-although my teeth really got a workout last time I got those satays- great review as always

Great video, as usual, D. I love MH and their crews. Why is it my flights that always have crews that make you pull the blinds down, even on day flights? Hate that! The best IFE is out of the window!

Will be flying Malaysian Mel to Kul 16 April then Kul to Lhr. The Oz to Malaysia is down as a A330 however the Malaysia to UK is down as a A350 . So we will be able to check out business class in both aircraft.
While I don't travel business class, I enjoy your flight reviews. It's still kinda baffling to see that MAS has a proper slot for your feet in business class compared to SIA, despite the latter having the better reputation.
If I could be guaranteed a A350 to London on bc I would fly MH every time. But last year I was on their 330 and was very disappointed. No printed menus, just told what was available. Entertainment was very old and even the satay from Melbourne was tough and inedible. Let’s hope they can get more of the latest aircraft

Just booked my Emirates Business Class flights to Glasgow via Dubai and managed to get the last spot on a tour of the Glen Scotia Distillery with the Distillery Manager. And now Emirates does Pyjamas in Business class for flights over 9 hours in length #winning

Many years ago flying with them from London to KL . Waiting to board we were told the flight was delayed and asked to go home and come back next day. When we said Australia was home they took us to a hotel in Southampton.
Next day the flight was OK but the crew delighted in telling us and showing us that they now had one British Airways engine. Changed overnight would that happen these days?
I flew Malaysia Airlines from LHR through to Auckland NZ and on the second flight the A330 flight map wasn’t working which seems like a minor problem but is really annoying on such a long flight.
I'd like to think I'd be as good-natured as you seem to be on alternate flight just after an emergency landing on another!

I don't know that I've ever had to brace myself with a handle while using the airplane loo, but I suppose I also don't eat chili just prior to takeoff. Maybe something to try next time!
As a low carb eater, do you know if we can ask for meal variations? Eg. Just the meat skewers, no sauce.

I always loved the Business class with SAS, but since they’re about to leave Star Alliance, they’re sadly not an option any longer for me because I simply don’t want to start collecting miles with another loyalty scheme.
And I have won the lottery! And big time, because as enrich platinum I get to pick the PY seats for free ☺️ Shame I'll then be connecting onto a ten-abreast Qatar B77W 😢

Why not compare it to the regular MH A350 business class? Why compare it to the A330?

I would not want a window seat as I am frightened of flying and scared of heights.
I'm scared of heights but have no problem flying 30000+ feet in the air.
Avoid Innsbruck airport!
Their A330 planes are not a good business class product, however their A350 is a whole lot better although not close to others.
Pretty the same with Philippine Airlines
No way would I have the courage.

Don’t worry. All is safe. The cabin crew are the loveliest you’ll ever find. Try give them a go! After all, they’re seriously trying their best to recover. Bless them. Show them some support! :)

we flow with them once they were late taking off so we missed our connection flight we spent 12 hours of hell at their airport sending us from one counter to another. in our return we found out at the airport our flights were cancelled all together after 16 hours they gave us flights they refused us meals or hotel worse airline ever
Sadly unlike you, anyone else who could afford to fly Business once every five years, can no longer do so as prices have become beyond stupid esp when travelling frm the UK to Oooostralya(😂).
So ultimately, who is upgrading to which plane and will have which interior or configuration is of no value.
