    I use untappd to keep track of which beers I've had and I sometimes tear myself up between rating beers according to style or as a marker to myself. To be fair, I also don't usually consider ratings for beers outside of my favorites anyway and just end up rating them according to how much I liked it and note whether it conformed to style.

      I do that too! It’s not easy to objective… Beers that obvious gone bad, I don’t rate at all… But I have been unfair to some breweries in the past, where the beer probably wasn’t stored correct… It’s not easy. With great power, comes great responsibility 😉

      @@Beerstories I always give those breweries either no score or note that it probably went bad. Actually had to correct a score after a brewery reached out to give a better sample of their beer. Had a brewery with a new bottling system, everything tasted like wet cardboard. A fresh sample? Tasted amazing.
