- Hi everybody this time we chat about the new Behringer JT4000 micro and play some of its awesome sounds.
The Behringer JT-4000 MICRO is a portable 4-voice hybrid synthesizer that offers unparalleled sound possibilities. With its two analog modeling oscillators per voice and authentic 12-bit DAC, this synthesizer reproduces the warm and natural sound of the 90s classic virtual analog engine, including the iconic Supersaw waveform that made it a legend in techno and trance. Featuring an additional 2-operator FM engine, the JT-4000 MICRO allows for even greater sonic exploration and creativity.
The JT-4000 MICRO's analog filter further enhances the sound, providing rich and expressive tones. With 16 touch-sensitive keys, this synthesizer offers great playability, allowing you to express yourself fully. You can easily store and recall your favourite sounds, thanks to the 32 memory presets that are expandable through the SynthTribe app. The JT-4000 MICRO also includes an arpeggiator with 3 patterns and a hold function, enabling you to create captivating melodies and intricate sequences.

This might even the first unboxing World Wide!
And YES, please do a complete sound demo as well.
I picked one of these up along with a Pro VS Mini. I've hooked them up to Cubasis 3 on the iPad and they sound fantastic. The JT-4000 is not only a great starter synth for anyone looking to get into the addictive and all-consuming world of synthesis but it's got the chops to suit veterans too.
Another yes ! Deeper dive into the sounds / editing / settings & the all important midi - playing from a keyboard.
5:09 Wow it sounded good! Bro can sing!
Another yes - more of this little blinder please. 👍
Wow, it sounds better then my microfreak.
First time watching - Great fun! Got my JT 4000 last week, Tuesday. It's ace! And yes, do a video on it again. Go on, you know you want to 😊
Yes to a follow up demo!🎹💥
That thing would be a nice addition to my little recording setup.
I would only use it sparingly, and it would fit in my "gig bag" with my 4 track and little 3 watt amp.
$50 to get those tones is worth it.
Fun little bit of kit. I’d be up to see what it can do
Enjoyed that
Would like to see it hooked up to a midi keyboard
Maybe an editor too?
I unboxed mine at 7am yesterday. It's a brilliant little item!
Seconded re: Andertons - they were really helpful back along when I ordered a System 100 bundle! Just nabbed a ProVS Mini off them, and loving it.
once again brill video you two are a scream thanks guys 😂🥸👌✌
Yes for another video
Andertons need to hire you two for all their vids 👍🤣. Thoroughly enjoyable light-hearted ‘blokey’ review👍. I bet the air went ‘blue’ when you realised the camera didn’t record the unboxing 😂
Mine arrives tomorrow. Loving my pro vs mini that arrived yesterday.
I did the same, couldnt wait to order one was checking online weekly for months. Andertons for £69, then a few weeks later still not having the unit dropped to £45. Thought, hang on. So emailed and they did the same refunded the difference. Great company and got it first like many yesterday! sound incredible for it's size and enough parameters to smash some banging tracks out with this. Always wanted a real JP8000 or 8080, so this will do for now :)
I will always go to them now as they have been around for so many decades where others have closed down,.
Sounds so good.
Put me down as a "yes" for make another video on this one!
Mine should be here tomorrow . . oddly excited about it
Sounds great! More sounds would be nice
You bought my Poly D Jason , can’t wait to see a review on it now , try and plug it into a delay and reverb unit to get its true value though !
cute unit
Sounds pretty good to me, considering the price, which is the lowest for a synth of this level, regardless of the size. More of the JT-4000, please.
Nice one guys!!
It's soo small isn't it ( oh er ... )
I was going to buy one but no standard midi port stopped me.
But I did pre order a Pro VS Mini instead......which arrived this morning!! Going to try it tomorrow 😁
Yes, please cover how it is midi controlled and powered at the same time? Enquiring minds want to know. I want to know!
Basically your going to need to run it through a pc. Or find some powered midi to usb box. I haven't found one yet. The cable adapters won't supply power. It's a bit of a shame it doesn't have at least a midi in. Would love to work out how to use it with my other gear but without a pc being involved.
Yes - another vote for a fuller rundown. Do you guys know if there will be a synth editor for it, and ccs for parameters so that you can sequence your tweaks. The world needs more Kim Wilde Bangers covers.
They haven't quite mapped all the CCs so an editor would be missing some important things like filter envelope depth I believe
You should’ve had a Volca for scale! I don’t know how big that hand is! Either way the Behringer looks a lot more comfortable.
Let's hear it!
I wanna get this and velcro it to my Alesis Vortex and run em both off a power bank . Maybe velcro an NTS-1 on there too for FX . self contained synth rig
Hi guys,
Are you tempted to purchase the Pro VS Mini after getting the JT4000?
Certainly an amazing deal for the money too.
PS. Behringer just announced that they're going to be making two USB to standard Midi host boxes at pretty cheap prices......Hmmmm seems they ARE listening to customers ref USB only connections not being very popular.........🤔
Grab the PRO-VS - £89 Andertons - that has a full sized midi in port.
Please make a follow up video and please place the camera on the device, ‘stead of the the edge of the table.
Thats a mighty fine hat you have there Jason!
Also... Columbo! He did an episode at my Alma Mater... The Citadel!
5:06 😄 A bit of Kim
Yes please do a deep dive on this I’m interested in getting this especially for the cheap price but wonder if I could use a usb c splitter so I can power it and use the usb MIDI at the same time?
More more more, as in, how do you like it? How do you like it?
This one is scaring my Boutique JP-08 - not my favourite synth in my collection. However it's the VS I'm really interested in.
Do it!
Could you explain how to load and save presets in the next video on this, ive had no joy so far
Will look into it for you
I really think they screwed this up by not making it the same size and price as the Pro VS mini with a Midi in. I have a Toraiz Squid sequencer that has Midi over USB but I don't know whether or not it will also power it so I'll wait and see what kind of work arounds people come up with.
Would like to hear what the pads sound like on this please guys! 🙂
Im a complete newbie, what elements do I need to power this thing? I’m talking the most basic stuff like which wires and what programme do I need on my MacBook to use this? Does it need an external speaker? Much appreciated ❤
USB lead to power and a pair of headphones
can you put it next to a monotron delay pls
Would very much like a video demonstrating it 👍🙏
Did Jack pass on this?
Poly d on backorder till April 2024 😢
more videos
In depth look coming Tuesday cheers Bangers and Chumley
First comment on the first review
cheers bangers and chumley
Nah I said it was great this morning 😅😅
Nice yea do another 👌
Please, do another video on this little unit. And that movie quote (I thought you'd be taller) was also from John Carpenters "Escape From L.A." In the previous movie the thing everyone said to Snake Pliskin was "I heard you were dead."
Cheers for another great video, boys!
I Just Subscribed and Yes I would like to see another video on this I’m thinking of asking for this for Christmas!
Sounds flat and midrange heavy.
I mean seriously, very little hands on control. Not to mention that Behringer is such a shady company. This is such cheap crap.
Want some vinegar with your salt? 😂
