Toriyama also told Tite Kubo (the author of Bleach) to never give up on his series when he first got rejected by Sholen Jump. RIP to the GOAT Akira Toriyama.

Whether I believe it or not isn't my point. The scenario were told was basically a positive hypothetical that doesn't really harm anything by being real or fabricated. At worst, it's just another question to ask tite kubo and he denies it. So yeah, you can say it's a bit too optimistic to be credible. But I think it's a charming story. Even if it is just a made up story

I'll be honest, I thought MHA was _too cheesy_ with the literal hero worship. With people being _so invested_ in All Might.
...but after what I saw, when the news broke? My mind's been changed. That's just how it is, when someone is so universally, _deservedly_ beloved. He'll be missed.

I started watching Dragon Ball when I was a child back on Nicktoons (It was a re-run of the entire Planet Namek Saga) I was either 6 or 7 at the time. Then, my first exposure to Dragon Ball Games was Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on the PS2.
Mr. Toriyama made me the person I am today and I will never forget the good he's done for the entire Dragon Ball fanbase. He was the ultimate inspiration behind my desire to become an animator (although I still have a lot to learn)
Rest In Peace, Akira Toriyama. You were a Legend and you and your work will NEVER...EVER be forgotten...

I first found out about Dragon Ball through Game Grumps’s video on Xenoverse 1 and have stuck with the series since.
I still remember the first time I actually caught DBZ on TV and it was the Vegeta fight with Goku incapacitated and Gohan beginning to fight him.
I’ll forever cherish and admire Toriyama and his works.
Without him, some of my characters would have never been made and they each bring me immense joy and it brings me even more joy to create more characters.
But that wouldn’t have started if it weren’t for Toriyama and Dragon Ball’s colorful cast of characters.
    Forever Rest In Power, Toriyama-sensei.

The Final Fantasy 14 community also did something similar earlier today, with people dyeing their robes orange and each sitting in front of a campfire across an entire line of people in one of the cities, Uldah to commemerate such an amazing man.
I abaolutely love how this community has come together to say goodbye to a most beloved and legendary creator with an imagination unlike any other. But although it's sweet, i also wish we didn't have to. It doesnt feel real. I found out the moment I woke up and was just filled with utter dread for the entire day. 4 am as I type this and still feel low. And hearing you choke up, and the shock of the other creators really was soul crushing. Thank you Burcol for being here with us, for loving the series and just doing what you do. We all appreciate it.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Mr Toriyama. Thank you for letting us experience your imagination.
