Toriyama also told Tite Kubo (the author of Bleach) to never give up on his series when he first got rejected by Sholen Jump. RIP to the GOAT Akira Toriyama.
@@yourstruly2205 Whether I believe it or not isn't my point. The scenario were told was basically a positive hypothetical that doesn't really harm anything by being real or fabricated. This right here, truly shows how beloved a person is. Fans all across gathering energy for Akira Toriyama's departure to otherworld, juzt truly heartwarming. He'll without a doubt be missed.
I'll be honest, I thought MHA was _too cheesy_ with the literal hero worship. With people being _so invested_ in All Might. ...but after what I saw, when the news broke? My mind's been changed. That's just how it is, when someone is so universally, _deservedly_ beloved. He'll be missed.
When I was young my dad watched dragon ball and dragon ball z. He later got a game for ps3 and let me play After that, I loved all anime. Dragon ball showed me the world of anime and I love the series. It is to this day my favorite and I would be a 100% different person without Toriyama and I am grateful he was here. R.I.P he was a true legend.
It's a sad day but we'll all remember the great man himself as someone who's brilliant mind crafted the series we all loved and grew up with and still treasure to this day. He can rest easy knowing he'll be loved and remembered all around the world for years to come 💖
Rip Toriyama his manga were one of the main reasons i got into anime when u was younger and dragon ball xenoverse was the first console game i got. Thank you Toriyama for the amazing work and years of joy i got from your creation
I started watching Dragon Ball when I was a child back on Nicktoons (It was a re-run of the entire Planet Namek Saga) I was either 6 or 7 at the time. Then, my first exposure to Dragon Ball Games was Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 on the PS2. Mr. Toriyama made me the person I am today and I will never forget the good he's done for the entire Dragon Ball fanbase. He was the ultimate inspiration behind my desire to become an animator (although I still have a lot to learn) Rest In Peace, Akira Toriyama. You were a Legend and you and your work will NEVER...EVER be forgotten... My condolences go out to his Friends, Family and Loved Ones.
im full of tears just crying in my pillow knowing that we lost someone super important ,super loving and all of it its just a pure heart and a good man- RIP Akira
Thank you for giving me the greatest friends I ever had and years I'll never forget, Professor Toriyama. The world will never forget you or your amazing work. A Legend was lost, but the memory will never truly die.
The shock is still real. He made so many memories and done so much for everyone that Noone can comprehend. R.I.P to the legendary creator of many childhoods and may he Kamehameha with whichever God he believed in if any.
I first found out about Dragon Ball through Game Grumps’s video on Xenoverse 1 and have stuck with the series since. I still remember the first time I actually caught DBZ on TV and it was the Vegeta fight with Goku incapacitated and Gohan beginning to fight him. I’ll forever cherish and admire Toriyama and his works. Without him, some of my characters would have never been made and they each bring me immense joy and it brings me even more joy to create more characters. But that wouldn’t have started if it weren’t for Toriyama and Dragon Ball’s colorful cast of characters. Forever Rest In Power, Toriyama-sensei. 🙏🕊️
People are still here on playstation, rip to the legend, my life would have been forever changed without him. Thank you and all i can hope is you rest easy
It’s just so sudden man, I still can’t accept the fact he’s really gone… I never expected him to pass away so soon. I don’t know toriyama personally but I’m sad, dragon ball is literally my favorite anime in the world, I’m such a HUGE fan. And for toriyama to just pass away at such a young age.. It’s unbelievable. Rest in peace legend, I wish I could have met you in my life but I guess I’ll never get that chance. Maybe in the next life 🙏
The Final Fantasy 14 community also did something similar earlier today, with people dyeing their robes orange and each sitting in front of a campfire across an entire line of people in one of the cities, Uldah to commemerate such an amazing man. I abaolutely love how this community has come together to say goodbye to a most beloved and legendary creator with an imagination unlike any other. But although it's sweet, i also wish we didn't have to. It doesnt feel real. I found out the moment I woke up and was just filled with utter dread for the entire day. 4 am as I type this and still feel low. And hearing you choke up, and the shock of the other creators really was soul crushing. Thank you Burcol for being here with us, for loving the series and just doing what you do. We all appreciate it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Mr Toriyama. Thank you for letting us experience your imagination.
the world just became a darker place. Toriyama is single handedly responsible for all of us wishing we were saiyans growing up. RIP Mr. Toriyama and my heart goes out to his family and loved ones and to all fans of dragonball.
Just like when Goku wanted to stay in the other world after the Cell saga Akira went there as well...to annother adventure. We have to thank him for an amazing childhood and all of his creation in his 68 years of life. He´ll never be forgotten. A Legend
Eichiro Oda and Masashi Kishimoto, both created two hugely successful series on their own rights, expressed how they're both saddened by the passing of Toriyama and their memories of meeting and befriended their idol. And this dude took the opportunity to take a dig how they're not as successful as Dragonball, unreal.
the moment i stopped crying I opened xenoverse for switch and bowed and byebye emoted both goku and the sky in the highest point. I felt like i needed to and i didn't even know this till now
I remember watching dragon z Kai back for the first time and my 8 year old selfs was remember the saiyain saga and how cool it was. Thank you Toriyama for the introduction of one of my favorite anime
I've been sort of in shock since I got the news. But this? Seeing all of these players and their Dragon Ball inspired characters all holding up their hands in tribute? This one was what finally made me teary eyed. Thank you for everything, Toriyama Akira-sensei. You will be deeply missed.
Wish i was there at the event. This absolutely wholesome. If not for Toriyama, i legit wouldnt be here. I remember starting with og dragonball, and boi... did it blow my mind. Perfect mix of silly and serious with some butt kicking to top it all off. If not for his work, i wouldnt watch it, i wouldnt watch you Burcol and i wouldnt get xenoverse. All i can say is, thank you Toriyama.
Just finished paying my respects in a switch lobby. More people there than I thought there'd be which was great that there would be so many paying respects to such a wonderful person. Rest in peace Akira, you will be missed dearly

when me and my brother were watching dbs together and goku went blue kaioken for the first time we were losing our minds at it. it was so cool to see kaioken make a return and when he turned x10 me and my brother without having seen the episode (as it had just come out) both somehow knew it would be x10 and screamed it with goku. it was so cool and it is one of my favorite memories of dragon ball. thank you akira toriyama, may you rest in peace, thank you for everything.
Even though the frieza event was going on we got around the dragon ball pedestal on the switch servers. We will never forget him. He'll always be remembered through his work. May he rest in peace.
Rest in peace Akira toriyama, you have done great things for us all, dragon ball has changed many peoples lives including mines, i was a little kid when i watched it on TV. It's a very sad day for all anime fans and i hope we won't lose any other mangakas this year
I think I left my game up in lobby for about 2 hours while I worked. It was amazing to see people come by with the time they had. I saw atleast a few hundred cycle in and out, while also leaving what they could as final fairwells with the in-game chat.
I never was really invested in anime, except Hellsing Ultimate, and that only fairly recently. But even though I never was invested into Dragon Ball nearly as much as two of my brothers are, it really is sad to see such someone as great as Toriyama passing away. It really is nice to see the community of Xenoverse 2 to gather around in lobbies doing something like this. Makes me almost want to reinstall the game on my PC to join in. Almost.
I've never really liked the play style of the male Majin, but I might just make one now as something of a tribute since its the closest you can get to Toriyama's little gas mask robot avatar.
Shall we discuss our favorite scenes or fights Toriyama blessed us with? My favorite fight was in Dragon Ball when Goku fought Tien as a kid in the world tournament in round 1 then again in round 2 before having to fight Piccolo Jr
