A great trick a mentor taught me years ago is to scrub rusted chrome with a wet rag dipped in dirt..takes the rust off without destroying the shine steel wool can damage and scratch chrome making a dull finish just a thought😊 great video keep em comin
I had a suzuki TS 185 that looked just like your 125, that thing was alot of fun riding but that heat shield on the exhaust pipe was in a bad spot I've still got the scar on my right leg and my metal tank had a big dent in the top from me almost sterilizing myself on a log crossing 😄
Great watch the weather in England is horrible stuck in doors RUclips and e-bay all day the Yamaha tank looks cool could not find it in your play lists that would have been a good watch .Thanks
Thanks! I just realized I didn’t have playlist for that. I appreciate the heads up! Here it is: ruclips.net/p/PLiThBUYGGNylgpmFcZoxlEvJIvm4uOsDi&si=Tp1fgNStX6BiuoWe
You need a can of plastic primer/filler from same paint company that you use for the top coats. Plastic needs to be little bit warm before you apply primer , like warmed by the sun on a summer day. I would put another clear coat on the tank , it will give UV protection to the excellent new stickers, it also seals the edges. The contagion problem with making shiny new surfaces is the old surfaces right next to them... like headlamp brackets.
The bike looks great goes to show what a little TLC and patience can do for the looks of a bike
Thanks! Yup, a little elbow grease goes a long way.
Another one rescued 👍🏼
The stripes on the tank really brought that together!
Thanks! I agree…icing on the cake

Lol yeah that shield is right up against the pipe I can’t imagine it would “shield” a leg from the searing heat that well!

Thank you for the tips. I’ll keep looking around for plastic primer and paint of the same brands
I love your videos.where do you find all these cool bikes
Thanks! I find a lot locally on marketplace. I’ve picked up others at Mid Ohio. This one was from Mid Ohio’s swap meet.
@Garage2Trail ok thank you you my friend
Should have used a paintless dent puller prior to painting. Just an observation.
The gearbox oil hasn't got hot yet.....
Good point!
Kinda looks like a 1974
Yeah I used the ‘74 decals. Good eye!
