Sir. I just got other way of understanding exaltation and debilitation based on your presentation.
1.My View is Sun(Father) is power light exactly 180 degrees (7th house) is Saturn (Son) which is dark and sorrow. Son always opposes father. Fighting between Sun vs Saturn.
2. Mars Vs Jupiter , 180 apart, again Brihaspati son is kuja(Mars). Again son opposes father. But on other angle, Brihaspati (wisdom/Mind) Vs Mars ( Obsession/self pride/body) always there is fight mind and body. wisdom vs pride.
3. Mercury( Knowledge) Vs Venus (money).180 degrees (7houses Apart) which they kalviya ? selvama? Because one who has quest for knowledge learns fast, as the money comes, so does ego and pride, so knowledge stops..
4. Rahu (future) Vs Ketu (past). 180 degrees (7 houses Apart) Everyone one of us fight in our mind, thinking about past or future.
This is my view.

What about planets that are exalted and /or in Mooltrikona in Navamsa, but neutral or debilitated in Rasi chart ?
Jupiter is exalted in Cancer at 5 degree, so its highest debilitation point is 5 degree in Capricorn. What if in some horoscope Jupiter is at 13 degree in Capricorn , will it still be debilitated? Will appreciated your answer. Thanks
+Amol Muley In Capricorn, Jupiter is always debilitated. Jupiter before 5th degree and on the 5th degree in Capricorn is very seriously debilitated, whereas after crossing the 5th degree, it is better. Yet throughout the Capricorn Sign Jupiter is Neecha (debilitated).

Dear Sir, Coming to whether your sun is exalted or not, I feel it is more or less dependent on which part of the globe that you are born.
E.g - For countries in southern hemisphere like Australia , they experience autumn during the months of April and May and probably sun is debilitated during that time. Please correct me if I am wrong.
+Akash Solomon The ancient books say that the rules are same for all people in this world. However your question is original, wise and requires research. I used the physical Sun and its relationship to seasons only to attract the scientific minds. However, these are not mentioned in Sanskrit Text books. What is mentioned is SUN is exalted in Aries and Debilitated in LIBRA. I used my own logic to explain why they said that.
You say that the moon is it's weakest when it is in jyestha, but I thought the moon was at it's most debilitated at the 3rd degree mark of scorpio- and that is not jyestha. Do you think the degrees of exaltation/debilitation are incorrect?

This assumes the Fall is negative - when in truth - each season is of equal value and equal gifts - - although ea planet has a weak.
Jupiter is conjunct with Venus in Capricorn in my Navamsa chart and is hence debilitated, what does it mean? My navamsa lagna is moon and jupiter is in aquarius, venus in pisces in my lagna chart

Sir these positions are fixed right . Irrespective of Lagna is in different rasi. My one is Kartakata do we need to calculate position from Lagna or just they are fixed.

Usually planets are exalted at particular degree in a sign. For example Moon is exalted at 3rd degree of Taurus and debilitated at 3rd degree of Scorpio sign. Please clarify.
What you are referring to is High Exaltation degrees. Which are more powerful than general Exaltation.
There are High Exaltation degrees, general Exaltation degrees in signs, Mooltrikoon, Own signs, Neutral signs, Enemy signs, general Debilitation sign, High debilitation degrees in signs.

Sir, I have query regarding Combustion of planets. Can we wear gem stone for a functional benefic combust planet so that it becomes strong and give good results e.g. if Saturn is functional benefic and combust in own house.
+vikas gupta Yes. You should wear it. That is the purpose behind wearing a Gem. The gem should be related to ONLY the functional benefic graha. This is a very simple rule that every person in the world should know. You don't have to consult an Astrologer for your lucky gem if you know the FUNCTIONAL BENEFIC for each Lagna.

Exaltation and Debilitation of planets in General is worked out using Rasi Chart. Now if I want to findout which planets in my horoscope are exalted or debilitated, should I use the planetary positions in the Rasi Chart or the Bhava chart? (In General, Jupiter in Kadaga Rasi is exalted. In my Rasi chart, Jupiter is in Simha rasi. In my Bhava Chart, Jupiter is in Kadaka rasi. Is Jupiter exalted in my horoscope?) Please advice.

+A Karthik Exaltation, Debilitation, Own House status, Moolatrikona status is ALWAYS seen from Rasi Chart. For counting purpose alone use the bhava chart.
