This was absolutely an excellent review! Bay lake tower is our home resort and we always have trouble finding another resort to stay at. Currently going to try Polynesian Resort on our next trip back home! We are coming off two trips to Aulani so we want to keep the aloha vibes going! Thanks for this excellent overview of the resorts! ❤❤
Great! I have a similar story to your Contemporary Resort story. I used to ride the monorail to the theme parks and always loved the idea of being able to ride the monorail straight through the Contemporary. I always wanted to stay at this resort as a kid but never got the chance. Now that I am an adult and making RUclips videos, I finally got the opportunity to stay at the Contemporary. It was so nice to stay so close to the magic.
Great channel, great content. Too few views, too few thumbs up. Got to the point quickly, covered all bases, and good reasons for your conclusions. Personally I'm always going to put Poly #1 but we all have our own opinions. I never could figure out the attraction to Saratoga Springs, Boardwalk, and the Beach and Yacht Club. I guess you explained it well. More for adults.
Yea she did a good job. Resort rankings are always going to be bias and come down to personal opinion. I've stayed at all the deluxe resorts except AK Lodge and my top 3 are, (1) Yacht Club, (2) Contemporary, (3) Grand Floridian.. Yacht Club is and always will be my fave because it's location is the best (can argue that Yacht &Beach are basically same location considering they share most amenities, best pool in DW, it's clean and elegant feel, beautiful rooms, and why i like it better than beach club is because it's smaller and has less people staying there than beach club does (Yacht isn't a DVC resort like beach club is) and that's appealing to me. I do adult trips to Disney with few friends though, hence my biased opinion on it. But we all have our own pros and cons about our personal top choices.
AK is my choice for March. Best food, best lobby, best theming and 25% off from Chase. I was undecided with crescent lake. My last trip was at Beach Club but I missed the quick service and atmosphere. Contemporary is too noisy for me and as adults we do not spend a lot of time at MK.
We stayed at the Contemporary this February in the Garden wing. For the most part we enjoyed it, especially the convenient access to Magic Kingdom. We did visit the Poly and was blown away, the theming, vibe, dining, its all there. I think our trip next yr we'll fork out the extra dough and stay there, to me it's totally worth it!
Loved this video! Super succinct, not overwhelming like lots of Disney planning videos are, and bonus I agree with your top choice. I never got the hype about the Contemporary until I left MK after the fireworks one night. Walking to my room after the firework exodus was a game changer for me.
Personally, I have a lot of nostalgia and memories of staying at the Grand Floridian, but it can be quite expensive from time to time. Overall, I love the Grand Floridian and would love to revisit it again someday.
I would love to see a video on off site places you all recommend that offer early entry and all of that. Swan and dolphin is great, but staying off site means budget, not continuing high costs and deluxe amenities. Hope to see that one soon! 😊
We just did a split stay at AKL and The Contemporary. We choose AKL any day. The Contemporary is way too bustling and busy. The Contemporary is more convenient, in terms of transportation, but AKL feels more relaxed and exclusive.
Wilderness lodge was not for me… maybe I’m more of a moderate resort person - I didn’t like the lack of options for “quick service” food. Never could get a reservation to Artisan Point, and Roaring fork required reservations a day in advance. Ended up eating at the pool bar a lot (which had good food). I’m a planner, for the parks… but when I’m back at the resort, I just want to pull get some food and pull up to a table without planning ahead.
Question do any of these resorts cater to like go-karts or buggies I've had a stroke so I would need not a wheelchair but you know a scooter or some sort
We'll be there in July and doing a split stay between the Beach Club (first) and Contemporary (2nd). I know I'll be disappointed with the pool at the Contemporary after being at the Beach Club. Oh well. LOL
The garden rooms at the Contemporary Resorts are on the bigger side and themed to Incredibles. They are also within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom (though are further out than the main tower rooms). All of those reasons do make it a good resort for kids. However, the pool areas aren't anything special. So if pools are important to your family and if you don't plan on spending much time at Magic Kingdom, then another resort might be better. Disney's Riviera Resort is a beautiful option. It's a Disney Vacation Club resort, but you can also rent rooms directly from Disney. Here's our article with more information: wdwprepschool.com/disney-world-resorts/villas/riviera-resort/

Could you explain the 25% off from chase?
What about Riviera? Poly is my absolute fav!!

Oh I’m surprised riviera wasn’t listed at all…
Planning a trip with my little family and this was so helpful! Thanks ❤
Glad it was helpful!

Is it really that close?
Personally, I have a lot of nostalgia and memories of staying at the Grand Floridian, but it can be quite expensive from time to time. Overall, I love the Grand Floridian and would love to revisit it again someday.
So happy with my choices after watching this for a split stay between contemporary and beach club ❤
