The great things about this comic are Peter being married to MJ with kids, Uncle Ben being alive and becoming editor of the Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson giving Peter his tie and viewing him like a son, and Tony giving Peter a radioactive spider so that Peter would become Spider-Man since it’s his missing piece. Let’s hope that this series improve itself and hope that it will be great.

All I can say is that Hickman has to be the best Modern Spider-Man writer next to Nick Spencer! This first issue alone is incredible! I love how he shot down every sign of conflict between Peter and MJ, too. He wants this marriage to be permanent as much as we do.

@@SonVictor33 have you tried google it instead of asking? Officially you can buy /order comic books from your comic book shop. Unofficially there are other options (readcomicsonlime, getcomics etc).
And what are all ongoing titles? There are tons but it dependsnon what heroes are you interested in (marvel, DC, Image comics maybe some indie comic books?) You look like new to this stuff. So my advice is to pick some earlier comic titles if you do not want to wait months for new issue
I love the ultimate universe. It was my first introduction to the Marvel universe, particularly through the animated movies. When it was destroyed, I was hurt, but now I'm happy that it's coming back.
This is a welcome change and I love Hickman little spin on the character. Cool seeing him chose to be a hero cuz he felt like it was missing in his life. Not out of trauma. But cuz Peter is a hero at heart.
He's a GOOD person at heart but I wouldn't say he's an entirely a hero at heart as Peter seemingly wants to this out of dissatisfaction from his own life right now and wants more fulfillment and excitement in his life other than his family, not out of pure altruism for others. The guilt of being responsible of indirectly causing uncle ben's death at first is the reason for why Spider-man is even a hero, because spider-man was just a way for peter to make money out of wrestling and other gigs of personal selfish reasons, take that guilt away of "looking the other way" than Peter isn't exactly as complex as he was for wanting to BE a hero. Because Peter didn't care about heroism when he first got his powers, only about himself and his own desires at the start before realizing what he did! This first comic issue for this story already makes Peter a complex character without having the guilt of uncle ben's death because he wants something MORE than just his standard of living with just being with family and that's fascinating to see for someone to be a hero out of wanting personal dissatisfaction in his life in this new way.

But he isn't. An alternate version of him is. 616 Spider-Man, the real Spider-Man we've all been following this whole time, is still being disrespected. This new Spider-Man character has nothing to do with the poor treatment of 616 Spidey, and does nothing to resolve all the punishment and terrible writing inflicted on the REAL CANON Spider-Man, 616.

Already dropping 616 for this, loving this series that much already, they’re cooking. And judging from the sketch art that’s been released, this Peter may even have organic webbing, setting him even further apart from his 616 counterpart. Can’t wait to see where this series and this new universe goes

This is the perfect evolution of the character. Peter Parker was originally created as a proxy for real world teenagers in a super world. He was wish fulfillment for the reader, an average guy getting the powers nerds everywhere have always fantasized about, but then having to learn to balance the challenges of every day adolescent life with the responsibilities of being a hero. And now in this ultimate universe, those same readers that related to him as kids and teenagers are now given the opportunity to relate to him again as adults. He's an average guy--a dad, a husband, an employee--whose suddenly granted powers and thrust into the superhero role. He'll have to learn the same lessons as young Spiderman, but this time as a middle-aged man. I'm so ready for this.
I hate that concept, them pretending like Peter was a template for every normal teenager, not every teenager, whether it was back then or now, is a WEAK-WILLED NERD who Can't Talk to Girls or keep his grades up. No wonder Miles is more popular among young readers now, cause he's not the loser Parker was.

For those who want to skip 616 Peter Parker’s crappy life , read 2024’s Ultimate Spider-Man.
Even though this Peter Parker has gone through one tragedy which is losing Aunt May resulting in naming his daughter after her, he has a great life until the writers do something to make him go back to way we know him
Also how come this version of Peter Parker is working for the Daily Bugle since he could be using his genius to help some company or start Parker Industries without the help of Doc Octopus
Maybe he likes being a reporter. Plus Ben Parker who is like a dad to him works there. That’s what I think.

This feels like the breath of fresh air we needed for our favorite web swinger I've seen a lot of comics or other with the mentality of "Peter Needs To Suffer In Order For The Comic To Be Good" but what's happening in 616 is just taking things too far it's like Spider-Man is like the Charlie Brown of Comics I HATE it when they do that to poor Peter so this comic is a nice change not only giving us a fresh new story but fixing what needed to be fixed in the main universe and I'm really hoping to find my copy of this comic so I can start following this series myself.
This might be the series to make me start spiderman.
What do you think Spider-Man would be like if he became a villain since his life is full of tragedy and despair? Do you think we will see this happening to Tom Holland's Spider-Man since everyone thinks he killed his own aunt, Peter Parker became the forgotten like the people who cares about him are either gone or forgotten about him along with everything he worked hard in school has gone down the toilet and does he even know who he can or cannot trust especially after that agent from damage control told him that Nick Fury was off world meaning he thinks someone made a fool of him? I don't care what suit he's wearing just as long as there's hope for him

I love ultimate Spider-Man #1 it has given me everything i ever wanted, and plus finally giving us the one true peter parker Spider-Man who's actually a adult and shocker and seeing Peter parker and Mary jane being married and they have there daughter mayday parker the future spider-girl and her brother Richard parker all being family is really awesome and badass in my opinion. Also another thing I loved about this story is seeing Peter parker becoming Spider-Man because he was inspired by his wife Mary jane and uncle ben which is actually something unique and very cool in my opinion, and I am also curious if we are going to see mayday parker his daughter reaction to her father being a superhero which is going to be adorable in my opinion.
I like the change in the earth 6160 where Uncle Ben is the chief editor of the Daily Bugle and that he's the only man that Peter Parker bonds with after Aunt May's death due to the Ultimate Illuminati's attack Tony Stark and his allies during Ultimate Universe #1.
But I'm thrilled to see Peter still wear the mantle of Ultimate Spider-Man.
This story has so much potential!
Hi this is a fresh start on a beloved character. I really like the story and , not same old story. I think it’s going to be awesome watching Tony Stark bring back the hero that was erased from the universe. And I a new villain 🦹. Awesome 👏

Yes! Yes!! This is the Peter Parker I (We) have wanted for years in the main universe. I stopped reading Spider-Man after the clone saga because it was getting ridiculous for creating more questions and no answers. Every storyline afterwards was the same thing over & over. But this is going to be good.

What do you think Spider-Man would be like if Sony lost the rights to him and the characters from his comics? Do you think Disney will somehow do that just like how they got characters like the Fantastic Four and the X-Men from Fox to use in the MCU?
After Spider-Man No Way Home, Sony is having him sidelined so that they can decide when to use Spider-Man in the MCU since he wasn't featured in Avengers Con during the Miss Marvel Disney Plus show and the Secret Invasion Disney Plus show with both featuring events from Infinity War and Endgame along with him stopped appearing in the Marvel Studios intro after his third movie

Also where are all the old ultimate universe heros? The one before BattleWorld? Im also a fan of Tony’s new look. It has a cool guy anime flare to him.

It has a promising idea and great art (Checcheto is one of my favourites since his Daredevil). Peter has good life, family and kids and uncle Ben is still alive in this universe? Sign me in. Plus I don't need to read 60 years worth of stories to get up to speed
I feel like Hickman has golden hands and can revive anything. I recommend to give a chance to his G.O.D.S too.

If One More Day hadn't wrecked Spider-Man, we could have looked forward to joyous stories like this in Earth-616. But instead, we have to look toward alternate universes and other Spider Heroes.
Even the Clone Saga did less damage! At least we got Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker out of that!
I remember Ultimate Pete being dead. May Parker gave Cap a righteous slap over it. (One of my favourite moments in comics.)

I'm hoping that Peter gets to keep his family this time around, but I feel like his gonna have that ol' Parker luck 🫤, hoping I'm wrong.
I loved the take on this! It really feels like a completely new character. If this wasn't under the Marvel name and the characters weren't Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson-Parker, J. Jonah Jameson, etc., I would think this was a fresh series about a family man who gets superpowers. But there is also a familiarity. I love some of these concepts. I love that Peter actually had parents that he remembers. MJ finally feels like herself. Hickman's books always feel long because they have a lot of dialogue but not so much that it weighs the book down, which was my main problem with Ta-Nehisi Coates' run on Black Panther. I still think Peter getting his powers at thirty-five is the most interesting change. I love that it's being treated like a mid-life crisis. And it feels very real because of how true to Hickman's life it is. I love that JJJ and Ben are friends. And given their ages, Ben was likely JJJ’s mentor. I have some questions because I don't know if some of the other changes would have actually happened? Would Peter really work at The Bugle full-time if he's not taking pictures of Spider-Man and selling them for cash? I was expecting him to be an Oscorp scientist. Maybe that is why Ben is an editor at the paper. Would Peter and MJ really be together if Peter didn't have the confidence Spider-Man gave him? What did Ben do for work in 616? Who was Kingpin’s dude with the eyepatch, a new character? Also, did anyone else read Ben in Paul Eiding's voice, who is the voice actor for Max Tennyson in Ben 10?

I read the first issue it's really great in seeing Jonathan Hickman and Marco Checchetto making some ground-breaking changes for Spider-man I've been waiting for this for several years to happen. Peter finally started to move on and having a family of his own is breath taking. Unfortunately It's not canon. I wish Marvel could have focus this idea on the main continuity, rather than implementing it in the ultimate universe as it's center stage. Don't get me wrong I love the first Ultimate Spider-man done by Brian Bendis and Mark Bagley it's still rocks in my book, and a different twist for the modern day Spider-Man.
