By the way, in the description, you write that the anthem was adopted in 1910 or 1911. Well, although “A Portuguesa” was a non-partisan patriotic song, it was adopted by the republican faction in the late portuguese monarchy. Thus, when the republicans take power, on the 5th of October of 1910, it was basically the unofficial anthem. But, the new government took a year to organize the new Constitution and symbols of the Country, so it was only fully and officially recognized as the National Anthem on the 19th of June of 1911.
I didn’t understood if you were unsure about the official date, or if you just wanted to precisely avoid giving an official date, but here is the explanation anyways. Keep up the great work!
