10 Foods That I Eat Every Day

  • When you start to take initiative with our own health, the first place you should look to make changes is in the kitchen. As what you put in your mouth is going to make far more of a difference than whatever you put your body through physically. And after going through a phase of eating as clean as possible and failing (we all do it), we settle in a sweet spot between healthy, nutritious and enjoyable in order to maintain consistency and our own sanity. We find individual foods that can aid with getting us to our goals that we also find the means to eat every day. Today, I'm going over 10 of those to hopefully give some insight on a more realistic diet.
    Introduction - 0:00

Well here is my list mostly based off vibes and second hand information:
Rye bread is good. So is oat and barley. Wheat is okay. Fullcorn is good, in any type of meal. Fullcorn rye is the most healthy.
Avoid those highly processed smooth toast breads and hotdog breads. Usually you can just feel them by their quality, they don't have a hard shell. A baguette is okay but could contain a lot of unhealthy stuff, be careful with them.
Me, I prefer mostly rough feeling "rustic" oat bread and rye bread. Karelian pies are also good.

This video was terrible - zero thought. We have no info what makes up a bulk of his daily calories. Ginger and cinnamon would add no significant calories. It's unlikely that salsa couldn't amount to over 100 calories. No fruits. No green veggies. No grains. It's primarily dairy and meat. Very little variety. This is extreme (i.e. not well-balanced). Hey Talon, good day. I came across your content due to a tardy ADHD diagnose, brought by finding out autism in my son. One of the aspects of the treatment is to keep a good nutrition. So I started watching your videos and tried to apply in my daily routine. Man, did that help me!! I live in Brazil, so many of the foods and spices you mention I find easily and also are greatly affordable. Discussing with my psychiatric, I asked him to keep the meds to a minimum, only what could be defined as fundamental. So I don't make use of anything else besides venvanse. And know this. I had lots fat concentrated in a lot of parts, didn't have good sleep, disposition. In about 2 months after signing to your channel, forcing myself to eat better, I ended up finding out that this routine is actually cheaper to mantain, due to the simpleness of the cooking process I use. Also because a lot of those foods are rather easy to grow and find over here. Dude, a great thanks from the bottom of my heart. In about 7 months I watch your channel, I lost the equivalent to 20 pounds. Less sugar, less salt, less saturated fats. Also, my professional performance. You see, i'm a salesman and after 4 months with this discipline, I had the 3 best salaries in these 2 years on my company. I'm a fan and recommend you to everyone. 🙏

Hello, I also have ADHD. And dealing with everything is just so hard, I live alone and I have to do all by myself which is overly exhausting and overwhelming. But the meal plan is something I really wanna fix in my life because I came to a realization healthy diet and sleep (which both I am terrible at) plus good workout is the key of every problem. Recently managed to quit smoking and that gave me a confidence I in fact can fix my sleeping and eating problems because addiction was one other thing I though I would never beat. But since I also have adhd cooking the same foods everyday will be boring and I literally dont have mental capacity to think what to cook everyday. Can you share your meal plan so I can copy?

At home, i usually do eggwhites for breakfast.

But ive been getting better at including them by slicing them fine (any lettuce, kale, spinach, etc) and throwing them in a bowl then pouring boiling brothy soup over the top.

This is on top of a pound of ground beef and hella fruit every day. So enjoy your almonds man they probably won’t make you fat. Make sure you get sprouted nuts or soak them in water overnight though to lessen the amount of anti nutrients.

The food I have every day would be either coffee (these days, I make decaf) for the general mineral content, and I also just like it, black with maybe a little milk or skinny syrups. Oats are another I really like, super versatile. I've been making pizza baked oats lately, the crust is made of oat flour, among other things like nutritional yeast for protein.

I eat garlic a lot. I cook with it in most of my meals. I also go through a lot of mixed greens for salads and to add to sandwiches. Eggs I eat with most of my breakfast throughout the week. Now I think about it I eat goat cheese in some form (plain, herb and garlic, blueberry) most days. Omelette? Use goat cheese. Sandwich? Use goat cheese. Want a sweet snack? Have a slice or two of blueberry goat cheese with grapes/cherries on the side.

I'll usually have oatmeal for breakfast, or non-dairy yogurt with fruit, granola, and chia & flax seeds, then for lunch a collard greens - Lacinato kale - mustard greens salad with tomatoes, mushrooms, olive oil, hemp seeds and a small amount of salad dressing.

Not sure with miso and tempeh are, but i guess the only one that i don't like is the soy milk, or any plant based milk on that matter because they have to mix these with added sugar and oil to taste ok, but for me they taste like the lowest quality junk food you can imagine but in a liquid form. Now i agree they're not junk foods, but they're definently frankenfoods. Like fr i'd rather eat brussel sprouts than consume plant based milk. Now if there's a way to mix butter and oil without artificial trans fats added and add stuff like coconut sugar only then they may taste good, but just regular vegetable oil with refined sugar it tastes awful.

I have been eating with health and planet consciousness for 50 years but I really like your more scientific break downs. I don't recommend meats 3 times a day or too much emphasis on dairy, however, I do consume them regularly with a reduction of meats to fewer times a week and cheese and yogurt almost every day. AVOCADOS!!! My staple. My biggest change here in January 2024 is to almost eliminate alcohol, at least for a time. If in a month or two I don't miss it, which I already don't on day 9, maybe I'll not go back unless it is for a picnic and wine tasting. I don't enjoy Avocados on the regular so I probably consume more dairy, but understand that I'm missing out on their benefits. The only thing I could add would be to emphasize a source of probiotics. I do Yogurt and Kefir now, but I drank Kombucha daily before I committed to increasing my protein intake with liquid milk and kefir.
