I just picked up my cla45 and I think the ride quality ain't all that bad! I live with it day to day... Put it this way I use to have 2003 M3 and that has a stiff suspension... Cla feels quite comfortable to me!!!
I agree with what Owen said, that's exactly how I felt when I ordered the car and eventually cancelled the order, because of ride quality. In Sydney the roads are poor, and I found the ride to be unbearable and I'm in my 20s. Shows how uncomfortable it was. Ended up sacrificing the power for something more comfortable.
from my view i see the more attractive thing on it is the rear end, and for the front I think its not special sense the A-class has it and the GLA has a bit of it too
Ride quality is much better if you DON'T get the amg drivers package... only get that if you go to the track or live and commute on backgrounds and canyons.... not good for city and rough roads...like any real track focused car
I just paid deposit for the GLA45 and I suddenly fell in love with the sporty look of the CLA45 at the show room, the sales person allows me transfer my deposit into whichever I choose, now i'm torn between the two, I've done heaps of hours of research I still can't decide, can someone help
+dns15r if you want to turn at eye brow raising speeds then id go with the cla45...if you need alot of space for a decent ammount of people and need an incredible ammount of trunk space then select the gla45...classic example of sports car vs sports utility vehicle...i would deffitely consider the cla45 if you could pair it with a manual transmission, but right now for that money il wait for the jaguar xe with the supercharged v6

grabir01 not so. Very reliable. As long as you take care of it. I wish I would of bought the Lexus rc350 instead always but this car has been very reliable. Just don’t take it to the dealer for an oil change or any maintenance
The metal shift paddles were a good choice. Mercedes' plastic paddles (seen in cars like the GLK) are disgustingly cheap feeling and something you'd expect from an old Hyundai.

Either way, you can't get insurance on a 360hp car as an 18 year old with any provider, at least in the UK. You can't even get insurance for a S400 unless you go to a specialist. Now he is 20 I'm quite sure it would be a great car for himself.

It depends on where you live. If you drive on the typical british B roads, the stiffness gets annoying fast

Possibly the GLA would be a better choice. I imagine the ride is not quite as hard in that.

if you don't want the firm ride you can buy the normal CLA (still with a powerful engine), the gla45 is probably as hard
