  • Clouds are lovely, I appreciate clouds... because the alternative was sweltering heat as the high humidity and summer temperatures worked together to make a truly disgusting weekend. I'm glad I got a few goodies from the beach before I needed to stay indoors and drink lots of water! That Red-lined Bubble shell was just awesome, but honestly? These were so, so many amazing mini shells to find this time. Thanks for watching!
Let me know which ones were your favourites ;D and if you enjoyed this and want to see more shell finding videos, I'd appreciate a like or a comment. I read all of them and try to reply when I can. You have no idea how much of a smile you guys put on my face. Thanks everyone!

G'day everyone! Wow, you're actually reading the description? Um, thank you! You will be rewarded with extra content... my Facebook page (link above) is loaded with out-takes and deleted scenes that don't make it into the RUclips videos. Check out the extra funsies over there if you're desperate for more shelling content ;D

I didn't even realise that Point Cartwright and the surrounding beaches had such lovely seashells until I saw "Shellcade Shelling Down Under" - I admired him a lot, and you can check out his videos here:

G'day Beach Girl 👋🏻🏖️ Oh yes, the hours fly by before you notice it!! Do you actually get mini shell piles in Florida? I must admit, I only remember seeing the bigger shells getting picked up in the US shelling videos, but I actually don't have time to watch a tonne of them either 😅 Anyhoo! Thank you so much for watching 🥰

Oh goody goody!!! 🤩 A fabulous mini day! 🎉 There is so much variety in the minis. 💜 My favorite today was that beautiful gyre Tritons. I love those shells. 🫶🏼 The red lined bubble shell was amazing too! All of the hinged shells were incredible too. I had a lot of favorites today! Each a piece of artwork. Take it easy in the heat! Use lots of sunscreen. Thank you for another wonderful video Maddie!!! 🥰🥰🥰

G'day Pam 👋🏻💖 Goody goody indeed 🤣I just can't walk past a shell pile like this, or if it do, it is with much reluctance! Yep, 100% minis today; the low tide was too high and murky (from the recent rain runoff) to find anything substantial in the rock pools. Plus, there has been a terrible amount of seafoam in my favourite places on the other side of the lighthouse 🥲. As for the minis, wow, the Purple Gyre Triton was a favourite for you too 🎉 it's been a while since I've found a nice unbroken one of those. This on still has its lovely textures and colours...took a bit of work to get that pebble out of the opening at home, though, but I managed it 😚 The Red-lined Bubble is pretty awesome...it's more white than my first ever one; it was quite interesting to me when I compared them later at home. Oh goodness Pam, thank you; that heat was really horrendous for days after the "clouds parted" on that morning. No amount of sunscreen was going to save me from baking in the high humidity and high temperatures that the heatwave brought. I had to cancel my Sunday plans to go to Hervey Bay; the "feels like" temperature was going to be 100.4°F (38°C) and if I spent 6 hours on that hot beach in the heatwave, well, I really think I would have suffer heatstroke regardless of how much sunscreen and water I took with me 🥵 I feel like I'm playing catch up this week with my shelling! I can't go out on Friday or the weekend because it's going to be extremely busy with Australia Day and the long weekend. Think Independence Day, but everyone is having BBQs and drinking at the beach 😅 in true Aussie style! Wow, I digressed a lot! Thanks for watching 🥰

G'day Jas 👋🏻💖 Oh, I'm glad you liked the ID for the Bird Cardita 😲 it may have another English name, but this was the most literal translation of its scientific name, and it is easy to say, so I went with it 😁 There are other species of Cardia that look quite similar to this one; I can find a larger but similar looking shell at Hervey Bay sometimes (but I always forget the name of it 😅). The Red-lined Bubble Shell is just awesome, and a rare one for me to see here! The live animal is really amazing too if you ever search for it on Google; the snail is a bright light blue; it almost looks like it's glowing! It's amazing contrast with its red and white shell. As always Jasmene, thank you so much for watching 🥰

G'day Belix 👋🏻🏖️ It's so much fun to look through a shell pile like this...it's been a while since a sizeable one washed up, but this one is still pretty large! When the low tides are high, it pushes small shells to the shore like this; it's just the best. Do you also get minis washed ashore like this? The Moon Snails were just fabulous this time 🤩 Thank you so much for watching 🥰

G'day TIffany 👋🏻🐚 Good question; I put my favourites into my shell cabinet - I just organised it a few months ago and you can see it here: ruclips.net/video/vtTtFGCOGA8/видео.html and it's really cool!! For the other shells, I have to put away, or I will send them to friends…I must have given away at least a thousand to various friends over Christmas! I don't sell them though, because I've decided to leave that to the professionals elsewhere... I don't really have a lot of spare shells around the house anymore, I usually only take the best shells home. Thanks for watching 🥰

The Red-lined Bubble certainly made me cry out in joy, but sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants, and that Donkey was pretty fabulous as well 😉 The shell piles are pretty fun to run your hands through; it feels more gentle than pebbles, but coarser than sand. A little more wet too, with an odd but not unpleasant smell - the beach always has its own kind of briney funk around the rock pools 😅 it's all part of the tactile, smellovision experience, coming to you in 2157 in RUclips's version 49.0 update 🤣 sorry, I'll show myself out. I hope you were able to see some shells that I missed, though it can be quite a different experience looking through the piles in a video 🤔 Wow, I think you chose the best ones as the favourites!! I should have given a mention to that Variegated Sundial, it's been a while since I've found one and it is just so lovely 😍 but I managed to pick up just about ever other shell instead of that one at the ending outro 😅 the Gyre Triton and Red-lined Bubble Shell really stood out to me too 🐚 Thank you so, so much for watching 🥰
