Thanks for watching 🥰
Oh boy, the angaria shell!!! And the gorgeous orange drupe!!! 🍊🍊🍊 Those two are my top favorites. That thick edged cowrie was amazing! You had a wonderful cowrie picking day! 🎉🎉🎉 Thank you for the incredible hunt today Maddie! Your shell finds are always so cool! 🥰🥰🥰
G'day Pam 👋🏻💖 I'm stoked about the Angaria shell. I was out there with Mr Sheller and we both kinda had a look down the cave hole at the same time, and then I essentially called dibs on it very quickly 🤣 he wouldn't have wanted it anyway! The Drupe shell was really nice too; I wish I gave it just a little more screen time, but I wrapped it up too soon because I was in an awkward spot. Anyway, it certainly stole the show for a lot of people today! I'm really glad that you liked the cowries too; that Thick-edged one will be going straight to the cabinet! Ahh, I'm gushing about the finds a bit too much this time 😆 Sorry about that! Thanks for watching 🥰
G'day Denise 👋🏻🐚 Woohoo, I agree; the Thick-edged Cowrie really deserve the top spot in this one! The other shells, like the Orange Drupe and Angaria, were just so wonderful as well, and would have been the easy favourites without the super shiny Cowrie! Thanks for watching 🥰
G'day Alison 👋🏻💖 I was really happy with the shell finds this time; I feel like I don't usually find such rare (medium sized) shells. Well, maybe I mean that it's rare to see them in such nice condition; not that they are actually rare (except maybe the Angaria?). Thank you so much for watching 🥰
Hi Maddie! 👋 The thick edge cowrie is my clear favourite shell today. Wow! First runner-up is the orange drupe, and second runner-up is the checkered bonnet. Honorable mention the special eel appearance, 🤣.
G'day Oceanluvn Gal 👋🏻🌊💖 That surprise eel appearance was terrifying 😆 but at least it wasn't one of the big ones! I say a brown eel out there once; its body was long and as thick as a gold ball 😅 not even kidding! Anyhoo! That Thick-edged Cowrie was a great one, but yes, the Orange Drupe was just wonderful and it deserved more screen time than I gave it. Also, I'm glad that you liked the bonnet too 🤩 I've been lucky with finding a few really nice Checkered Bonnets lately!! Thanks for watching 🥰
Hi Maddie!! What a beautiful Cat Cowry right at the start.. 😍 Can’t wait to see what else you find today!! 😊 WOW & another Cat Cowry!! 😮I saw that eel when you picked up that cowry..😮😮 Before the adventure is even over, I’ve already chose my top two favorites… The Thick Edged Cowry and The Neglected Angaria.. There’s just sooo many nice ones to remember, lol. The Orange Drupe gets third!! Lumpy and bumpy always catch my eye! Thanks Maddie!! TTFN 👋🏼 ❤
G'day Mimi 👋🏻🏖️ Oh my goodness, that eel really frightened me at the time 🤣 was a sneaky fella! It was worth it to find those amazing shells though, I just love the Thick-edged Cowrie and the little Cat Cowries too. The other side of the beach gave up some nice shells as well with that Angaria and Drupe. Honestly, it was just a great day! Thanks for watching 🥰
G'day Nikoleta 👋🏻💖 This bunch had some wonderful colours...and shapes; that Angaria is always a delight to look at with it's odd swirl. Thanks for watching 🥰
Hello Maddie, Awesome video. I love the Thick Edged Cowrie, Cat Cowries, very pretty Neglected Angaria and Orange Drupe awesome. Will chat Sunday. Si much to tell you and about Bob too. We have 3 inches of snow with ice outside. You take care and be careful on the rocks. Much Love, TRUDY
G'day Trudy 👋🏻💖 I think you picked all the winners; the Thick-edged Cowrie, Cat Cowries, Angaria, and Orange Drupe were wonderful examples of their species. I hope everything is okay, and I will wait to hear from you again later. Stay warm over there, that sounds like a crazy amount of snow 🙏🏻❤️

Morning Maddie,I have three favorites today and they are #1 has to go to the thick edge cowrie, what a beautiful shell. #2 is the angaria and #3 is the cat cowrie. Looks like you had a great day of shelling. Plz stay safe and healthy out there. Love❤❤❤ to you and ninja from all of us
G'day Sheila👋🏻🐚💖 Woohoo, I agree, that Thick-edged Cowrie is such a nice one - it's quite rare to find one in such lovely condition, so I felt very lucky! The Angaria is super cool too; I only find them after a storm or bouts of bad weather (like we've had here lately). Also, my goodness, I'm glad you liked the Cat Cowrie 🤩 which reminds me, be sure to give plenty of pats and cuddles to the kitty cats at home. Thanks you so, so much for watching 🥰
G'day Leslie 👋🏻🏖️ The Angaria is a bit like a Turban shell! Well, you might think otherwise if you saw other Angaria species in Google; they have terrific (and terrifying) spiky spines coming out of the shell at various points. Super, super cool! The species I find here don't have them, but they would survive the rock pools if they did! I digress. Thanks for watching 🥰
Good day Maddie. Very nice haul! Love the little bird cardita of course 😂 and the orange drupe. That very dirty bonnet I love the colors. Clean it up without bleaching, put some oil on it. Bet it will look really cool. That big spiral looking shell, reminds me of the sundial shell. Very cool and big. I'll have to say though that that thick edged cowrie is my favorite. I do love that little juvenile cowrie as well. As usual Maddie excellent video and thank you for sharing it with all of us. I do so enjoy the Australian shells compared to Florida shells. To me Australia has such a different variety. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the US shells, they are just a bit boring. I love the giant Moon snails out Plum Island, as well as the gorgeous calico scallops on the Gulf Coast. Anyway you have an awesome weekend. 😊
G'day Roberta 👋🏻💖 It was a great day for shells... I was actually quite surprised that more people weren't there to find shells considering it was a Saturday. I think the rain scared away most of them except for the usual group of shelling buddies out there. The Orange Dupe is a very nice find; that one will absolutely go into my cabinet. Aww the big bonnet was left behind after I was distracted by multiple conversations while setting up my shells. By the time I wrapped up my goodbyes, and the rain set in, I put my shells in my bag but forgot to grab the big bonnet and about 5 extra Spengler's Trumpets that I had put to the side. Oh well, I'll just have to keep my eye out for another one someday. I had plenty of other great shells that day, so I still feel like it was an impressive haul. I'm in love with my Thick-edged Cowrie and that Angaria - I only find them after a storm or bad weather, so the conditions were perfect to come across one that day. I kind of understand what you mean about the Florida shells. For me, I keep a spread sheet of the shell species that I've collected; it's already over 200 from the two beaches that I regularly check here and at Hervey bay. I mean, I do find a lot of those species more often than other, but compared to the Florida ones that only seem to have about 20 regular shells, I can understand why the variety is more interesting in parts of Australia. To be clear though, the biodiversity where I live is particularly large. I have prattled on too much; this is what happens when I can type back quickly on the computer instead of being all thumbs on my phone screen. Thanks for watching 🥰
MADDIE!! Hey girlie! What’s up hun? The orange Drupe is lovely, and the Angaria shell unique and striking. I love the color and the swirly shape! They are my favorites today.
G'day Lindsay 👋🏻💖 Hmmm, well, I'm just hoping the rain stays away! What's up over there? The Angaria this time was just lovely 😍 I think it's as nice as the one I got from a hermit crab last year! The Orange Drupe, well, I don't think I gave it enough credit because looking back, I think I liked it a bunch more than I did on the day. That Thick-edged Cowrie still comes out on top for me though 😲 but I loved so many shells this time! Thanks for watching 🥰
@@SandCoffeeRocks yeah that cowrie was super cool! Rain and warmth! I long for the days. We are in the middle of a little snow storm here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. I was happy though. Have a good day. Thanks for sharing as always.
Oh, I did hear about the snow storm from another commenter who lives in PA. Brrr you can keep that weather; it never snows here in tropical Queensland! Oh wow, you went shelling, so the closest beach, would that be the Carolinas? But a Mega Moon, oh my goodness, congratulations! That's like those ones on the Plum Island youtube channel, right? @@SandCoffeeRocks yes! That mega moon! The closest beach to me is New Jersey. I live right outside of Philadelphia so we are just 10 miles from the New Jersey, Pennsylvania border. So it only takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to get to the closest shore point. Then it’s easy to travel up and down Jersey coast! We went to Belmar for this trip and it was great. We are already planning to go again next week. Woo hoo!!!! 🤣 I crave the coast. Growing up I spent my summers at my grandmas house on the bay. She had a beautiful double-decker boat and a house on stilts. I would jump into the bay and grab sand sharks by hand, bring them up into our yard, and put them in the bathtub that we had there to wash off after we got off the boat. I would make crab race tracks underneath the house and race small crabs that I would catch in the bay. It’s like the water has some kind of pull on me. I need to be near it. I love it! ❤️ this is definitely one of the reasons I love watching your videos. Feels like my childhood, like home.

As for the shells, yes, that Thick-edged Cowrie was really the best one 😉 I have found them before, but they usually are worn away to look like a blue Cowrie with thick brown bands. Haha, it was definitely a day for the cowries! The Orange Drupe is also quite nice: I really wish I gave it more screen time on this video...it was in an awkward spot, so I ended up not looking at it for too long. Oh well, I do like to catch up with friends and friendly locals; but when I want to finish the conversation and get back to shelling, I politely excuse myself when it's a good time to do so 😉 after all, the tides wait for no one! Also, it's hard to even find a nice Thick-edged Cowrie here, so I'm not surprised that you have trouble coming across them too! Shiny shells are always a boon.
Hmm for some advice; see if you can find a place where the live cowries live (like the inter-tidal rock pools). Where you see live shells, you will have better luck finding good quality empty ones.
@@SandCoffeeRocks hehehe, i so easy get distracted if people keep talking to me😂😂😂
Ahaaaa,so the key is where the live cowrie ,
Thankssss for the advice Maddie 💡🥳
Oh goodness, Maddie!! Keep wearing those shoes 😂
G'day Susan 👋🏻💖 Haha, those shoes really worked for me this time! But, they're falling apart and one size too small, so they can stay in the car as a spare 😉 Thanks for watching 🥰
I thought "trough" rhymed with "cough", nice shell whatever it's called and I love the Angaria!
G'day Bearseyeview 👋🏻🏖️💖 You know...now that you say it...that does make a lot more sense 🤣😂😅!! Whoops! I was rhyming it with "bough" (as in the part of a tree) but ahh, yes, ahem, tough is probably exactly as you said...like a tough that animals eat from. Yep, I totally bungled that one!! Thanks for bringing that to my attention, what a bit of a blunder 🤣 but I won't cry tears of blood over it 😉 Also, I'm glad that you liked the Angaria shell, it's seriously awesome!! Thanks for watching 🥰
Bellissime !!! 😍 👋 from Italy
G'day Stefano 👋🏻🐚 Wow, hello to you in Italy! I hope you also find some amazing seashells at your beaches too! Thanks for watching 🥰
