Looks great my girlfriend would like to get one to replace her old mini but prices are really dragging New Ev releases down.this and the new mini are priced ridiculously
I think I'd definitely go for the blue 💙 or white 🤍 for the E version. Definitely needs a gear change sound. I wish more EVs have the option of an engine idle noise at low speed instead of the EV whiney noise.
There is SO much more I wanted to say in this video but it totally would have been waffle but anyone that’s driven an Abarth has a special soft-spot for them. They’re so good…. But so bad…. But so good 😂
Great review. There’s obviously a disconnect reading some of the comments here from existing 595 variant owners. I had a 585 Competizione Cabrio and have just chopped it in for this. Yes it’s expensive but then it’s electric. They ain’t cheap. There really is no comparison. This is, in my opinion, way better on many levels. One word sums it up - ‘Premium’. Like a must have fashion brand. You know it’s pricey but it’s the real deal.
Well done Tish a great review I love the colour of that one what an eye popping blue it’s fabulous I prefer it to the green agree with comments re the exhaust note but it’s an abarth so needed! You can imagine them driving all around Italy they look such a fun little car just hope high pricing does not alienate customers
Yes its a good start a fabulous colour, and the brief view of the white looked special.Great sound when you put your foot down so it could well be a winner 😮
I love my Fiat 500e and I’ve now ordered the Abarth 500e. Great cars. I think the only thing I’ll miss is the adaptive cruise control that doesn’t come in the Abarth
I totally agree! As an Abarth owner though, how powerful do you think it needs to be?? It’s a funny one because Abarth was never about out-right power but this takes twice as long to get to 30 as the MG4X-power 🤔
Really enjoyed the video and the quality of your content Tish! The setting is fantastic and I loved the colour of the Abarth. I wonder if it will sway Abarth petrol owners to the electric Abarth or if it may attract a whole new audience now 🤔
Adored the 500e when we had one on holiday for a week (styling and how it drove too) so this is a bit of me having had the Abarth styling added alone. Looked even better in the flesh at goodwood to, just a shame it’s so bloody expensive 🙃 Would love to pick a used one up in a few years as prices come down a bit!!
Great review Tish, Loved my Abarths, but after 4 I had to give up for something that transports adult passengers☹☹ That blue reminds me of the two Legends Blue cars, only the e looks even better😎😎 I like the new Abarth, over time and development of better battery and charging Tec, I'm sure the power and range will improve As you say, Tish, a good start (If you ignore the price)
The green was growing on me, but then you ruined everything when you showed it in white. Pity there isn't any red interior options. Pricing not 100% confirmed down here in AU, but the word is it will be the top spec and around 60k aud or about the same price as an entry level Tesla M3. Tesla is great, but they are becoming the Toyota corolla's of the road. As a fun small city run about I'd much rather this. Being a city driver limited to 20km a day (for me) to put round in... I'd even, dare I say, take a smaller battery if it dropped the price. Now I just want to see it in Red. I suppose once you factor in range loss due to battery degradation, the 150mile range is fine. For those complaining about price. I'd probably charge it for free with home solar. How much does a regular ICE Arbarth cost in a year for fuel and servicing and in the say 10 years of ownership vs this EV?
Another great video Tish. Love the styling, the shape of the car, the look of the car….just gorgeous. Love the interior and the quality of the seating and the layout of the dash, it just looks like a fun car to drive. But and it is a big but I hate the sound…..I really do hate the sound of that rev. It sounded like it was straining, like as if it needed to go up into another gear and drop down another pitch. Yes I know this noise is just fake but I don’t like it….in fact I would go further I hate it. So with that horrible sound and it’s expensive price and it’s average mpg it’s just not a winner for the average punter….it’s a very rich persons toy
I agree that the sound is not quite right but it can be switched off, personally I think it skipped just completely go off after 35mph… still, I guess the good thing is it’s just a speaker underneath, so could be changed? Regardless of everything though… I think it’s my favourite EV 🤔
Brilliant little car but like all EVs expensive and residuals on EVs not good. I think this model is around £38,000. Smelling salts are an option though.
Great video Tish... I own and love my Abarth scorpioneoro, i must say that the looks and interior of this EV version are spot on BUT the price plus "that droning fake sound" totally put me off buying one, why, until forced to be fully electric did they not continue with the petrol versions in this new design, i`d have bought that...
I would not say for the mega rich. I am sure there is just relativly well off people who will buy these too. You could always pay it off over 5 or 10 years and if your circumstances change in the meantime abd you need a bigger car just sell it. Its bound to appreciate in value abd not lose any if the demand is there.
The smallest car i would ever drive is a hot hatch, preferably a VW GTI. It's got style, tech, speed, front wheel drive, and can handle inclines and twisty roads. That's as small as i'll ever go.😂
@@AutoSocialUK the one im looking at is the 2022 model. MK8! But then again the Golf R was highly recommended by many. It'll put its power down a lot better than the GTI since it's got AWD. Too many desicions😂
As an Abarth Punto Esseesse owner I can see this as being the death of Abarth. It's essentially a Fiat 500E with a bit of body kit. As you say the pricing is rediculous and is just a weathy persons toy.If you drive as you would the ICE version I doubt you would get 100 miles of range and probably 75 on a cold wet winters day. I realize that manufacturers are being pushed towards EV's but I think this is a joke.
I'm a bit disappointed in this car to be honest. The range is nothing to shout home about and needs improvement. The fake engine noise? Do we really need it? I'd rather if I am driving an EV have the quiet, I know it can be switched off. The price to performance is just not good value for money. Just all a bit average. Colour and the shape? I quite like.
I guess ultimately they’re kind of limited with what they can put in a small package. Can you imagine if they’d launched with an SUV, now THAT would have been sacrilege! The range doesn’t bother me, I like the sound but it is too much money
@@AutoSocialUK Haha an SUV would of been sacrilege I can agree on that. In reply to your point on the range it really depends how you would use a car like this. When I think of 120-160miles that's a weeks worth of work only commuting for me BUT I would also use my car for longer journeys to the coast and this is where it would let me down. I think this will hurt sales until it improves, for the price I feel people will want more than just an A to B car.
@@AutoSocialUK it might be a stretch for the engineering department and request for custom drivetrain components but maybe a signature drivetrain gearbox noise would be awesome! Something like Harley Livewire approach. The abarth electric exhaust noise is far too “video game” electric and as far as I can tell from video reviews, it doesn’t have fake shifts in there, the engine noise just whines up with the speed of the car. Kind of strange.
What an insult and a sacrilege for the abarth brand.mister abarth must be turning in his grave.this is not an abarth, its another boring electric washing machine 🤮
Love the old Abarth , love everything about this new one but electric is a no for me. I am anti electric car , it’s not the cars it’s the infrastructure and charging that is the big no for me.
I do get your reservations, I don’t even think public charging is that much of an issue with the Abarth because the range is short enough that you would only charge at home but for me to want to go electric, the price of charging needs to drop dramatically
I’m fortunate I have a driveway and garage and I could have a charger installed at home (I’m in a new build and missed the compulsory installation cut off by 2 months) but I’ve still got to pay to have it put in. There are many houses in the UK where it just doesn’t work. Outside of home I’m in a town with a 100k population and ruling out the usual changing points like supermarkets there is only one official charging station that is bolted on the side on a filling station. 4 charging points only for a population of 100k. I do think they will move to 2030 date back , I just can’t see us being ready in 7 years. For some people electric cars work but not for me and the price of the cars are silly money also.
Good review. The Abarth is much better than I expected but the price drains that beautiful blue
I couldn’t agree with you more 😩
While they were synthesizing the exhaust note they should have synthesized shifts.
I cannot wait to drive this car, I’ve always had a huge soft spot for Abarths! Class video btw 🙌👌

Tish absolutely best video I've seen all day 🙌

Its real Abarth! That white Abarth looks amazing.😊

Perhaps at £18k this would make sense. Nice review, thank you.
Yes its a good start a fabulous colour, and the brief view of the white looked special.Great sound when you put your foot down so it could well be a winner 😮
Great video Tish, love the italian music 🤣. I love the look of the new Abarth so striking - shame about the price!
👏🏼Loved the action-esqe intro! Looks like a great car, the Poison Blue reminds me of the Honda Boost Blue on the Civic Type-R, love it 💙
It's electric and at the moment I'm staying well away. Love the dash and that colour. Wow. Nice review as always
I understand, electric has a strange place in the market right now 🤔
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. I particularly like the Blue Paint Colour and the Interior design as well 😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching Jamie, have a great day!
I love my Fiat 500e and I’ve now ordered the Abarth 500e. Great cars. I think the only thing I’ll miss is the adaptive cruise control that doesn’t come in the Abarth

They’re cool little electric cars, there is just something about Fiat 500’s in any shape that you just can’t help but love and this is no exception!
@@AutoSocialUK absolutely, I really don’t think they’ve lost any character despite going electric ⚡️
RX? All Austin Healey works rally cars were registered in Abingdon
I heard one at a Morgan car show and you're right, they should have put gear changes in there but no bad. ❤
Favourite video yet 👏🏼 electric Abarth suits you👀
That means a lot, thank you Bex 🥰 you got £42k I could borrow??
Lovely looking little car, no doubt too small for my 6ft 14stone self but still can't deny it's beauty..... Nice review 👍🏽

It’s certainly expensive, especially when you consider things like the MG4 XPower are on the way, but at least they are trying to make EVs fun!
I went up the goodwood hill climb in the Xpower and that thing is rapid! I agree, I’m glad brands are having fun 🤩
Great review, Tish! ☺️
Thank you!! 😊
I answer: It`s not.
Great, professional video, Tish. Seems like a good car aside from the price. Nice work 👏
These launch cars and ex demos are now going for £26k ish with very low mileage. Seems like a bargain

A nice, bright, expensive toy
At that price point, people can get MG Xpower or Volvo EX30, both of which are built on bespoke electric platform and drive faster.
