I have had the BZ for years and love this motor.
I also think that Tamiya Super Stock BZ is a good balance motor.
Agree,,the bz is the best all around. The differences are very minor ,,,plus bz is the only one that comes with the dust cover
Wow I did not expect these to be so close. Thank for the comparison and great video!
I've been Waiting for a long long time for someone to this. Thank you so much.
I always wondered who's who because these motors have almost exact specs.
Me too. This test makes me feel refreshed. Thank you for your comment.
the reversed children cheer sound effect is gonna give me nightmares but very good test though!
Fantastic comparison 👍. From that I'd go with the motor I can get the cheapest. All performed great and are very closely matched.
I am glad I could help you : )
I use the RZ in my Robitronic Avid. I like it 💯 😎👍
Hi, wich one is the best for of roads-on roads 50/50. 56t spur. 15 spin. 38t dif. I like the RZ. 4wd. Truggy 1:10. Maverick Phantom. 2s 50c
Will these motors fit in the red rapid q130 truck
Great Video! Any one knows if you can change the timing ? Thinking to put one of These Motors into my Clod :)
You can not change the timing.
Because Science. Well done. Exceptional video and testing.
What motor would be the best for the super Blackfoot trucks please comment back Would love to know what motor will be the best
It is a very difficult question. It depends on the ESC, battery, gear ratio, etc.
Please choose the best motor for you while having fun.
Need more people so spread this video more
You try to give the video more brightness it will be great if you do
Thank you for your feedback.
Would this be faster than the sport tuned motor? Too fast for a re release hornet?
These super stock motors are significantly faster than the sport tuned motor.
But I don't think that too fast for a Tamiya Hornet.
Please enjoy breaking a wild horse :D
would you recommend a Traxxas 550 12t brushed Motor or a tamiya super stock tz for speed and power?
I really enjoyed that Video its awesome thinking about getting a new brushed motor... Subed!
Unfortunately I have never used a Traxxas 550 12t brushed Motor.
I think that tamiya super stock motors 23t are good balance.
is it one of the fastest brushed motors?
I have 2 RZ, really fast and push my TT02 over 55km/h with gear ratio 5.8:1. But it is horrible burning hot, need a break every 5 min run
thanks for this info, im going to replace my BZ with the TZ in my tamiya turbo honda to try to get more top end now.
It's my pleasure.
well, gear ratios also have to be changed too.
I have both RZ and TZ, RZ is a bit faster
good one👍like the music too😉
Sorry but using a gear ratio of 5.74:1 makes your test irrelevant as Tamiya recommends :
TZ : 6.5 to 8:1
RZ : 6.5 to 7.5
BZ : 9 to 11:1 !!!!!
Actually the BZ underperforms due to the gear ratio you use, anyway you are out of range for every 3 motor tested, may be a gear ratio of 8:1 would be more relevant.
Thank you for your interesting comment. You are quite right.
I know Tamiya does not recommend 5.74:1. I think that the gear ratio are necessary for preventing tire slipping during full acceleration.
I am sorry for my poor English.
Hello.can I use tble-02s?with the super stock bz.
Thank you for watching.
TAMIYA does not recommend it.
My friend does with his Blackfoot (which has a tble-02s in it) and it seems to work fine. I’m going to be putting in a super stock RZ in my TT-02B.
Thumbs up, great video!
Thank you very much.
Do you run your motors in? It makes them rev a lot faster if run them without load on low voltage to get the brushes bedded in and polish the com, I also use soft springs and/or bend them slightly to have a lower load on the come again increases revs 👍
Yes, I usually do. Thank you for your kind comment.
I just got the rz a couple of days ago. I have it in a a959 that is lighter than the car in this video. I also have a smaller battery. The motor is a monster and pushed my car much faster than 44kmh. The stock motor in a959 is 70kmh and this one makes it faster than that. I don't understand how you got such a low kmh at 44?
The car shown in the video is bigger and heavier than yours, and it's also running a nimh battery, whereas the a959 comes with a 2s lipo
@@HawkinsRC_Official yeah that's what I said my a959 is smaller and lighter. Yeah it comes with a 2s
@chrism1940 I reckon this has got to do with the gearing you are using in your Porsche 959. Because 44-44 km/h versus 70kmh is a huge difference. In terms of percentage what does that work out to and using the same motor. even a lipo battery doesn't make that much difference. And I've been doing a lot of research too and cars reaching that speed are mostly brushless powered. Don't really know how you got to 70 km/h are you sure your speed metre is working properly? This really should not have a great deal to do with the weight of the car. I believe it's gearing , but 70 km/h ? Post a video of your Porsche 959 to show everybody then because I find you hard to believe mate👌👍
fantastic comparsion
I am glad you had fun : )
Nice

Super great greaat!!!
Thank you for your comment!!!
There is basically nothing in it on the road, what about off road?
I don't think it's suitable for delicate comparisons, so I avoid off-road comparisons.
Thank you for your comment : )
I think with single run sample sizes and considering the margin for error on the measurements with this data they can be considered exactly the same, they are essentially 23T 540 motors
I think you need better/different testing scenarios, better measuring kit and more runs/larger data pools to tell them apart. Maybe even test the motors in different cars to and maybe most importantly the best batteries you can get to see differences. Sould also be useful to throw in a stock/basic 540 motor to compare.
Thank you for your constructive comments.
As you say, these motors are very similar. I also think this comparison needs statistical method. To do that, I need more budget and time.
Sorry for my poor English.
I have a stock a959 with 540. It burnt up and I put the rz in it and its a lot more powerful. Lot more torque and speed. I can be going around 75 present throttle with this motor and give it a little more fast and it will spin out. Just to take off with it I have to tap the throttle real fast then let off, do that 3 or 4 times just so I don't spin out taking off and I have good tires. It's shorter than the 540 but weighs more and is a little more big around. If The 540 is 70kmh this motor is more than that
That costs a lot of money bro. I think we all learned a lot here. More than enough for most hobbyists. Just buy whatever is cheapest. You can make up the difference with skill.
@@cagemanch.7567Thabk you op! Great vid 👍
1.25x bros you bopping to this?
I will buy a BZ motor for my Tamiya wild one
Your selection is great!
