I am in the midst of my final year project. I need to check the OBD to find out various performance factors of ford figo. Could you please provide a link for the OBD chip or whatever it is called,And can you explain whether i will be able to measure radiator inlet and outlet coolant temperatures.
Check out in ebay india for ELM327.. there are many available with chinese being cheapest.. go for a branded one..
I am not sure if OBD mandates measuring radiator inlet and outlet coolant temperatures, but you could measure engine coolant temperature for sure.

Is the OBD dongle compatible with Maruti Suzuki cars?
I once tried with a swift, but values were meaningless/constant. So Maruti would have messed up OBD :)

That's in city. How much do you get? I used half tank method that too over a long period of time with continuous logging everytime I fill up the tank
My parents cars have this feature, and mine doesn't. Grrr...I'm looking into HUDs that use the OBD2 port instead of navigation, and I intend to buy a cheap Android device to place on the windshield, but the only thing I'm concerned about is the double image due to the laminated glass; is it really not that bad? Also, due to the focal point, you will have to readjust your focus when looking at the HUD vs. the background. OEM HUDs actually use optics to overcome this and create and infinite focal point for the image, so that you don't need to refocus when looking at the background. Additionally, I am unsure of the legality of having this device while driving in here in Canada. Have the cops given you any trouble in India? (Or Pakistan or Bangladesh or Sri Lanka; sorry, I'm not sure where you are). Anyways, thanks for the video! Drive safely!

In India, there is not much awareness yet, so it may not be illegal, but also not legal. But, any way we could say, its only reflection of mobile on dashboard :)
No cops gave any trouble. And yes, the double image was not bad, especially for speed. You could try to see it urself and you would be happy. I did not get the focus issue, but I did not have any issue switching between looking at the numbers and also the road ahead. I actually enjoy having this in my car everytime I use it, its cool :)

Dude seriously? Man i thought the way you spoke that you were gonna explain the whole process how does it work and how to set it up. Instead the only thing i got from the whole video is how to help the mobile not vibrate during the test. Man not good at all. No offense.
There r too many videos explainin how obd works, how to fit it in car and check values. Thts y I did not cover that. I covered a practical problem we face while we record obd video.
No issues man. U did a neat job in explaining it. I expected the explanation as not many INDIAN videos are there on the same. But to be honest video was good compared to others as in most of the INDIAN videos i just struggle to see what the guy is trying to show us and whats he saying.
