What a great, humble guy. Seriously. He's astounding.
Ray rules... his down to earth cool unpretentious attitude just makes his amazing drumming that much more amazing.
Amazing drummer.
Such a down to earth guy, deserves the wave he's riding on.
Truly an astounding drummer! Phenomenal player; always seems willing to share his knowledge without going over people's heads. I am always impressed with him.
This guy is a very good and (once) underrated drummer. Always enjoy these tidbits of information, even the basics. Drummers too proud to think about these things usually end up falling behind.
I always pay close attention to what Ray has to say or demonstrate.
Ray is Neil Peart of the modern era
Ray is possibly one of the most accomplished and admirable rock drummers around right now, the experience that guy has really shows through in his playing.
Ray's the man.Very underated but steadily gathering a following.Supertalented and worked hard to get it.
3 dislikes? They must not have a good idea on what proper and well rounded drumming is. I feel bad for them.
Ray is a very good heavy metal drummer but he has no groove. The Korn original drummer, David Silveria, was more technic and "groovy".
***** No, sorry, not actually sorry. Dave Silvera had no technique and is not half as fluid as Ray, fact. However, Silvera did have good groove and had some iconic drum parts. You sound like a fan boy and wish he was back.
superchanneljim yeah Ray has much more talented then David. Look at how Korn's music has changed.. Ray plays a more technical set too. sometimes I cant count heads and top hats lol
That was good straight talk and the comments about the blast beats at the end is spot on.
I love how he said something about speeding up a chorus, it's something I do too and it's awesome to know that even super talented drummers have that habit also.
GREAT call! I completely agree!
One of the top !
This guy is awesome, great advice thou... i want to be a great drummer like him
Great drummer not a fan of Korn but this guy is immense
SO AMAZING GENIUS...TECHNIQUE...!
I talked to Ray about how to get a good snare sound and if you look at any site it said he use Remo Coated Emperor X over Remo Ambassador Hazy but he doesn't, he use the Remo Coated Emperor X over Remo Ambassador (Not the Hazy.) Just letting you people knowif you're wondering.
Woow he seems like a really down to earth dude, and he makes an excellent point about the gigs, I for one hate the song fade to black and like the faster blast beaty type of music but he is right more people will want to hear, not necessarily a reeeeally easy main stream song, but a more well known song, if you're playing some covers, but he's an amazing player.
I was a korn fan as a kid but not anymore. Ray gives good advice here. I will keep track of him.
FIRST! Thanks for the tips. It was good listening.
Good tips
🤟🤟💯💯🔥🔥
This is great! Rhythm should showcase more of us girls teaching on video ;)
He's right, eating before a show blows.
4:50 HE'S A MIME!!!!!!!!!
The imaginary string. Sounds like my old teacher who also liked the sixteenth note pattern where the accent falls on a different note each time then 4 and 8 per hand. 220, only if you are Byron McMackin 😁.
i like how this video's using the old commenting system
he played 4-2-1 grid!
Ray Looks like Ringo Starr
He's 40?..shit, I thought he was like in his late 20's
Burrito in your belly. Hehe.
Sure he does. HAHAHAHAHAHA
You should be a money machine.
Well that "sucky" hair style is in one of the most successful bands on earth right now. He was a farm boy born and raised fashion ain't his shit and frankly that is such a stupid thing to comment on.
probably the only cool guy in the band
