What do you guys think of the new task manger? drop us a LIKE 👍
looks good just one thing missing dark mode.
@@ChrisTheGr8est there is a variant with dark mode. I use it on the dev build.
@@noah_will good to know
@@ChrisTheGr8est it supports dark mode
@@Britec09 That's nice. I don't like alot of things about Windows 11 so i just use windows 10, is there a way to get the new taskmgr on windows 10?
Windows 11 needs at least 2 years of solid development to update all the old UI elements. By the time windows 10 reaches end of life in 2025, Windows 11 will probably be an actually nice experience.
Then we see Windows 12
Same. I have found that waiting 2-3 years allows the newest Windows version to be fully debugged.
Do not beet on it. You will probably lose.
Wish they included temps for CPU and other components.
Yes that would be nice
that's exactly what I was thinking and then saw your comment
THEY CAN MAKE THE OS LOOK AND FEEL GOOD BUT THEY CAN'T MAKE IT FUNCTION WELL
The task manager should add features like Process Lasso has where you can control how the individual processes work on a system. This is just a cosmetic change.
I doubt anyone at M$ is competent enough to implement that.
Im using windows11 on my pc. Before upgrade to windows 11 i was confused about bugs. But after isntalling it feels so smooth i like it
I was also worried about bugs till now going smooth
they should add cores temperature as well instead of forcing users to download external program
and update the device manager window to windows 11 style & dark mode as well..
Glad MS is finally deciding to update all these other areas of 11 not just the main GUI and like settings and that's it. 10 was just a coat of paint while other areas like task manager and control panel were unchanged since like 7 or 8. They really need to go all in on this OS cuz people like me won't take it seriously from a design and implementation stand point until it's design language is consistent across the board, bit that just my opinion
They can take their look and shove it. I want reliability which they seem to be messing up more and more with each version. Give me a simple windows and I personally will add what I need, not a lot of bloat to enable hackers, people running adware, etc. I have been with MS for over 40+ years. I have installed 100's if not 1000's of copies. I have been a reseller of it. Each time the work out the kinks they move on to a new version. They have sold versions that never should have been released as well as a few decent versions. They only have one thing in mind and that is how to make money at the risk of their customers safety and information. I am now at a point that they need to be broken up and start over.
You explain everything so well 😄👍. Thank you.
You’re welcome 😊
W11 uses A LOT of RAM, worse than Vista and 10. The next PC I get will be custom and will look at 64GB DDR5 RAM. Glad we're still running W10, we love it!! At least W11 isn't too alien. Good Microsoft is listening to feedback from W10 users.
I'm surprised how little of this is actually working, being a fresh skin on the Win10 version. The figures against those icons in the header, for example, bear no relationship to the real world shown in the column headings. Wonder what Dave Plummer thinks of it?
Hey Brian! Windows 10 21H2 uses too much ram on my laptop.
Specs:
core i3-1005g1 (10th gen)
4GB RAM (3.7GB usable)
256GB NVMe SSD
Integrated GPU.
It uses 2.7GB ram idle. This happened since first time i got my laptop. What would you recommend me to do? I can't play anything without lag or something. I'm so tired of that.
*NOTE* I can't buy RAM. Any solutions?
Thanks!
4gb ram is way low for 2022. The Minimum now is 8gb of ram. Ram is dirt cheap now. Buy another 4gb.
Buy some ram😅. Or find some custom OS if you want to change your windows. Or download mem reduct its very usefull.
Usually x64 laptops with that amount of RAM have the DIMMS soldered. I’m in the same situation with one of those cheap 32GB laptops that I should’ve kept on Windows 10.
@@firedevzz you can find Windows 10 lite, it uses less ram and resources. Try to find like ggOS, ReviOS, and more
@@P3X_Veft thnx for suggestion
I wonder when they’ll address the task manager crashing if you have both x64 and x86 installs of redistributables on your windows 11 install.
Thank you always a very well explanation
May you please advise why every time I open my laptop the screen keeps going fluctuating (goes black and back to normal) then when I restart it works just fine.
Note:- I have just upgraded to windows 11 so I am thinking maybe because of that?
Literally every UI change still infuriates me every single day. Can't stand this horrible OS.
this guy sounds like the voice actor of Korg from Thor
lol
Nice sir.
Thanks
do you know if dark mode will finally apply to the task manager when this releases? That's one annoyance I've always had with task manger, everything else on my system follows the dark mode theme but not task manager or some other Windows tools like Device manager and Disk Management.
Sooooooo truuerr
I kindy hate the new task manager, the old one when set to performance it would be very smooth with it's showing of clock speeds and such. now its like counting very slowy and doesn't seem as smooth but i bet they will get the kinks out, but i really like the simple design of the old one. Oh well i guess i just got to get use to it now.
Thanks for that Britec. I wonder if the GPU will be covered in Task Manager as it seems to have been dropped at present.
Didn't need updating why fix what isn't broke? They should fix the thousands of things that ARE broken in win 11.
Actual review starts at 4:15
it was just released yesterday for me! it came with an updated volume slider (instead of being in top left it is now in the bottom middle) which I have no idea yet if it's going to be good.
That's not the task manager I get. It's a dark screen with no options. All I get are the list of processes.
Thanks Brian for a peak at the new Task Manager for Win11. I kinda wish they didn't remove if from the desktop to begin with, though.
How slow and cumbersome paste all those commands into the Powershell ISE and just run them all at once!
Will it work with windows 10 latest build
I’m still waiting for my Win 11 upgrade to my Win 10 system, getting antsy to try all the tricks and new configs you’ve been trying. 🇨🇦👍
The new task manager looks like Windows 10 settings
I've still not seen a good reason to switch to Windows 11.
I think its better
@@Britec09 Perhaps it is better for you. I'm not a gamer, video creator, or power user. I ghostwrite novels for a living, so all I need Windows to do is allow me to run a Word document and watch an occasional RUclips video. There are also a few issues that are deal-breakers. I like my taskbar to be at the top of the screen, and I also don't want to be forced to jump through a bunch of hoops just to do something as simple as choosing Firefox as my default browser.
Not better for gaming. Tried playing a 10 year old and recent game it's crashes for whatever the reason...
So i’m confused is the one that Says “Memory” the RAM?
why don't I have this new looks for task manager, notepad and others? Do I need to be in the dev program?
that's pretty awesome
thank you for the info
though im still sticking with win10 until end support
i have been running 11 since july on 4 pcs they said no to the update on ive had not had 1 issue on any off them all still updating and working well
i only ran into 1 issue but it was later patched, windows 11 would be much better with more features and updates to old ui elements
Personally, I use Process Server rather than Task Manager. I wonder if these changes will affect how that application works in Windows 11?
I don't like it. A lot of screen space is wasted.
I guess people are going to love or hate it
If I set up a virtual machine with Windows 11, what happens with regard to activation? I would like a fully operational second copy of Windows running for testing stuff like this, would like to activate it so that there are no limitations. Can you advise please?
I tried playing game on windows 11 it's very unstable..I tweaked to maxed as possible +debloat + all sort of things
we need task manager who doesnt use 10% of CPU usage
This app needs more updates. It's the must useful app ever when games crash.
The question is will it support dark mode. also there ought to be an end all uneccessary tasks button.
Yes its support dark mode
can be possible back to normal?
if I upgrade the task manager?
The only issue I have ever had with 11 is that it changed my directories, and left a real mess of programs not installed on the C:\
Should always do a fresh install
Know news is Good news
Us resource monitor updated?
after i installed this my pc restart looping pls help
I hated Win 8 with a passion but the Task Manager was light years ahead of Win 11. They can take the new one and shove it up their butts.
Love it!!!!
Me to
Britec is our Saviour
Glad you think so
@@Britec09 You are 😇
Could it come to Windows 10?
I'll stick with 10.
in my opinion microsoft windows 11 is the ugliest os that microsoft ever made
Awesome 👏
Thanks 🤗
@@Britec09 welcome
Make a video how to allow apps to access your microphone In regedit
Apps can already access your microphone in Windows...how else do you think Microshit gets audio data from you?
This has been going on since easily the beta windows 8 and probably windows 7 days.
It's Microshit...do you HONESTLY think they are going to respect your privacy? Get real
I don't like the new bar the windows 10 was better and you could ask the thing anything it was like Siri or Google assistant
It's Great, But not for All users 👥 😔 Windows 11 (22538).
Looks good
Thanks
I don’t like it cuz now have to run through it to close a program an that sucks
It looks even more bloated
lol
I like the look of that new task manager. Does look really nice, a welcome change for me
Yeah, me to
It mostly looks the same to me. I think MS is just trying to put lipstick on a pig.
@@OlettaLiano Haha yeah it more or less is like that but at the same time it does look better haha
Yo wtf 20% of ram is using, this is to much !!!!
what a long video just to show the windows 11 task manager. customer retention on to to thew point mate
That new task manager is awful. It's useless...
I havr the older one
P.S. I already used to it
@@D3adaccount-k3w how?
It is awesome!!
Thanks
I already have a new safe disk almost full of some kind of load data again I have to buy something faster for my more data for I'm too lazy to fix everything so I'd rather do my own crap out I only have security updates and that was so much work now again everything in stables still a ^^ rewrite ddls patschen a thank you only when my standard is full should have gone straight to the wheel beforehand nfst uefi wiin 11 directly via type -c usbe 3.0 hdmi t4 is too expensive for me cloud collateral I have to look first 8 weeks cure even if they It doesn't mean I have nothing important that someone can use. Just idols who do it on dns except admin services so much work I don't mind taking it when you don't need it on a permanent loop cheaper. I think I hang at 2,200 I haven't looked up driver backups, they're sacred and everything for me system backups at least 4 on 2 different ones because of the daily RAM controller disk tester weekly with reboot fix malware virus everything vpn i dont know how else they could hack me history browser addresses bios addresses networks i have house printer floppy drives on network storage online thats it you cant be sure unless its covers here can me That doesn't explain that, but I really don't have a nerf, any weirdo, that's a burden, so if you can't afford anything, addresses early and from where cards can I get hub. nothing new. just protect or troll the competition is always the same or just too high to be ^^ still hurts ^^ yes better the manager you still have to start the program with consoles borderless Enclose 84x x64 that you don't have to rewrite the exe all if you want to remove the edge or have to hide higher scale, something like that used to exist. or you use it for your gpu software
It’s hot garbage… goodluck being stuck in a game
will this work for windows 10 also
I think I read somewhere it does, but whether its released to Windows 10, I don't know.
