I started learning Japanese by listening to NHK to imitate speaking somewhat like a native, used a dictionary to pick up vocabulary, and read raw manga to pick context and familiarize idiosyncrasies. I’m at the point where I no longer need subtitles when watching Japanese media. Love your method and I’ll be sure to recommend your videos to other beginners in this language. ありがとうございます
Wow that’s amazing congrats Daniel and thank you! 🫶🏽
oh wow that’s great. congratulations! i’m trying to learn Japanese for the same reason so wish me luck lol
I needed this!! I've been messing around not being terribly serious for about a month now learning Hiragana, I've got it 85% down but only doing 5 minutes or so a day which is why it was taking so long 😆.
I just made up a bunch of flash cards, and now am more serious about writing each character 30 times 3x per day (my hand gets really sore).
Thank you for this video!! ❤
your tips are spot on, definitely helps to write down stuff. you inspired me to pick up my spanish workbook that’s long forgotten
That’s amazing! I wish you the best on your language journey ☺️
I love the kind and generous heartwarming atmosphere that you create, your kind, easygoing, warm vibe. ❤
Welp, now I’m crying 🥹 thank you! I’m so happy you enjoy my content 💜
I’m studying Japanese now and this was so helpful. I felt like I was all over the place. ありがとうございます☺️
Yay! So happy I could help! Good luck with your studies 🫶🏽
Hi. I started studying Japanese in 89' because I was taking Shotokan karate. I liked the way it sounded. My sensi did not speak much English. I wanted to communicate with him. Over, the past several years. I had a desire because I'm an anime enthusiast. I like watching it with the original Japanese. I admire your organized approach.🙂👋🏽👨🏽⚕️
Yeah japanese really is fascinating. The first language i wanted to get fluent in after german and english. I never tried genki but i heared its really useful. Good luck on your Journey 😚😊
Thanks Isaac ☺️🙏🏽
I have zero interest in learning Japanese but I watched this entire video. 😅😅 I do want to learn Igbo and Arabic.
You should definitely go for it!
Igbo? Are u Nigerian?🎉
No I just want to learn it. People don't have to be Spanish or Asian to learn their languages. I suppose you asked because it's not common.
What a well-put-together video!! I'm taking Japanese next semester and wanted a few supplementary things because I love learning languages and already taught myself Korean, but this video is enough for me to start learning on my own! Really this video makes me jealous at how well put together your journey seems to be. If I were to make a Korean studying version of this it would be filled with holes.
Just do what works best for you! Thanks for watching ariyanna, and good luck with your Japanese course next semester ☺️
元気 all the way! Thanks for all the tips and resources, I used to watch Peppa Pig in Japanese on YT back in the day for my 'input'.
Also I hope you don't mind me saying but your brows were certainly on fleek in this video Khalilah!
I actually watch Peppa Pig in Japanese too! And thank you 😅💜
Now, if you could do a video just like this but for Korean that would be AMAZING! Would love to know all the resources like this in order to help me in my Korean learning journey. Super proud of you! xo Blakeley Shea
Thanks Blakeley! ☺️💜 Korean is definitely next on my list!
My coworker, who’s married to a Japanese man, explained to me how native Japanese male and female speakers distinctly vary.
I love Japanese culture and the language.
Hey I'm learning Japanese myself. This was cool. Do you have any specific goals for JPN? For me, if I can just improve my speaking and listening comprehension, I would feel great. There's so many resources for learning and so many cool Japanese content creators. I wish you the best in your journey!
All this did was make me want to put aside Swedish and ASL and Russian and study Mandarin instead LOL. Anyhow, I must stay strong... and just wanted to say I love your language videos
Thanks Madison! Good luck with your languages ☺️🫶🏽
In all these videos I've seen, you guys have the cutest rooms
I swear I was just about to comment on one of your videos asking you to make a video just like it! I think we are connected hahaha Thank you a lot for the tips definitely I gone use most of them. Do you have ever mentioned the reason you want to learn Japanese? I really curious about that.
Could you make more videos about that? Like a series, about your learning process, I would love to see it.
Also, you look stunning!!!
Great minds think alike 😅❤️ and yes I definitely will, my goal is to really focus on language learning and showing that more on my channel!
I’m Japanese. Thank you for studying our language ❤
Love you so much 🥰
Love you! 🥹🩷
Based on your personal experience, how hard would you say learning japenese independently is? I've been considering starting to but then again I feel like I'll hit a wall and slack off. The idea of learning a whole new alphabet (cough...cough...3000 kanji) is one of my concerns. I'm fluent in 3 languages...all of which use the same (latin) alphabet. So kanji kinda feels intimidating lol
I think the hardest part is being consistent, not the material so if you can commit you’re half way there 😅
This has nothing to do with learning Japanese, but I wanted to tell you that your makeup looks FANTASTIC!! It's natural looking and glowing to perfection. ✨✨ Okay, carry on lol.
thanks Alycia! 😅 it’s taken me awhile but I think I’ve finally mastered the light makeup look lol
You made me want to start to learn a new language but the timing is wrong 😔 I will take Japanese into consideration after this video ❤️
Don’t be too hard on yourself! Study when you’re ready. I’m rooting for you!
When you say , learn hiragana and katakana, do you mean just read, or to be able to write, too?
Be able to write too (know the stroke order of each hiragana and katakana as well) and be able to pronounce each of them.
Love this! Thanks for sharing
If you have a PC I recommend Anki for learning Kanji
Konnichiwa K! Forgive me, I know I've been MIA lately, just kinda been outta sync since the holidays tbh. I'm gonna get it together tho lol, and I'm gonna get caught up on all your vlogs, pinky promise! 🤙🏾
I think you've made great progress with your Japanese! You may not be a polyglot quite yet, but your notes, as well your answers in your Genki workbook look perfect!
You know I believe you can do anything, so keep going! さよう
Wait this just made my day!! So happy to hear you’re doing okay but don’t rush yourself, if you need time to get back to a schedule give yourself grace 💜 I’m rooting for you ☺️
What chair do you use, the white one at your desk? Sorry I know it’s a out there question lol
You got this
Love This!!!!!!!
🙏 💜
Thanks this was so informative
Glad it was helpful!
