Starman isn't good mentor for Courtney I'm glad he teaches her more of his super hero famous move she learn quick especially that shooting star move was dope af.
A male hero gave guidance to a female hero and it helped for the development of both characters..... Both Characters lifted each other up regardless of Gender... (Hollywood take notes) damn this feels so fresh... why cw or mcu cant do this?
Because companies are more concerned about spreading their own agenda and preaching to the audience rather than telling a great story with compelling and likable characters that anyone regardless of their background can enjoy. Sadly the majority of companies are too blinded by their own pride to admit they're wrong and give the people what they want.
A male hero gave guidance to a female hero and it helped for the development of both characters..... Both Characters lifted each other up regardless of Gender... (Hollywood take notes) ie. Kathleen Kennedy (Luke and Rey could have been like this) Kevin Feigie (Captain marvel and Nick Fury could have been like this) but hey I guess that cat-scratch was worth it right? Right??? Sony (Ghostbuster 2016 could have been like this) (Men In black International could have been like this) CW( Super-girl and Super-man could have been like this) (Bat-woman and Bat-man / Knightwing could have been like this) The point I'm trying to make is that hollywood has had some kind of unspoken idiotic rule that if there is a female that is meant to be the lead, then they will force that character to magically become skilled at high-level things (superpowers, spycraft, technocology etc.) on their own, and that they can not accept any instruction from a man because the studio's believe that this puts the female down in some way. Scenes like this totally disprove that idea and I'm here for that. If the story makes sense for a male to teach a female (due to either wisdom or experience from the male in a ultra specific subject) then in most cases it would be believable and acceptable by most that that should happen. Vice Versa, if there is a female in a position of wisdom or experience that can help a male character develop and grow, that can accomplish the same task as well. Those are just the ones I could think of off the top of my head, Keep this going if you guys can think of others. Thoughts???
This is exactly why Wonder Woman in movies worked and here Stargirl works great. Starman teaching her to be even better as Stargirl and her teaching him to be a better person as Sylvester Pemberton, respect and balance from both sides.
Exactly!! It worked. Another example but the reverse is that oliver queen in arrow got taught how to fight and shoot a bow an arrow from Shadow and she was a female character. But they made it work and it just made sense

@MysteriousFlabberGhaster If she passed for a teenager, we wouldn't be having this conversation. It isn't that she CAN'T pass, it's that the makeup crew is falling down on the job, and she ISN'T passing for a teenager. (compare faces, S1 to S3).
