Hello. I have 2 homeschooled also. Pre K going to kinder and 2nd grader going to 3rd and this is pretty much exactly what I do. We like to do a 5 week on 1 week off and also year round. Our 5 week on for summer is typically just themed weeks, river, Meadow, Forest, beach ect and we focus our learning on those topics, kind of like a unit study I guess just more fun focused, we live in new England so june and start of july are perfect months weather wise so we can incorporate outside trips correlating to our topic of the week. I love the frixion pens it is also the only pen I use but they also have highlighters that I use to high light our off and on weeks, they are great I can erase and re highlight as needed as I'm mapping out our year. Anyway just wanted to say thanks for the video, it's nice seeing someone else so like-minded in the planning process, I also need it down on paper, I just cannot use a digital for the rest of planning I just keep using my paper planner for the week to week.
Thanks for the printout link I think I might print it out and mark it out for next year and put it up on the wall so my kids can keep track of what our year looks like as well. Maybe they will stop asking me everyday if it is a school day or not! 🤪

We plan to go off my husband’s schedule so we can do fun family things together. 3 days on then 3 days off. Still gets us 180 days even though we don’t need days but makes me feel better.
That's a great way to approach it! Our state doesn't require a specific amount of days, just 9 months out of the year, but I strive for 180 days as well, since that is roughly 9 months! :)
I use the same calendar printables as well! Inused ger floral design last year. I'm using the watercolor design this year as well! 😀
