I don’t know why Anna vance works so well to keep me motivated too, but it does 😂 I mean I know it’s amazing, but so are others! But it’s also the only one I’ve continued to use for years, I love it ❤️
I have a 5th grader and his rhythm is: M- speech so we only do Science and Math those days with ind reading and handwriting T - Math, His, Eng and Explode the Code - Ind reading W - the same as M and Draw Write Now - Ind reading Th - Tutor - His, Eng - Coding F - PT - Sci Activities/Exper, math, His, Eng - Typing - Ind Reading We start in July, break after Thanksgiving, catch up if we need to, start Christmas study in December and continue Math.
When we used Moving Beyond the Page, we alternated between history and science about every 3-4 weeks. I don't use that curriculum anymore, but still keep a similar schedule. We school 4 days a week.
Ooo…I love your idea of alternating weeks for Science and History 😊. We were doing History 3 days a week and then Science on Fridays, but Science seems too infrequent to remember things. I’m trying this! ❤
Thats really interesting about the science and history! I could see how that would help you be able to deep dive into a subject and could help retention. Good to know! I myself am definitely a planner girl! Still on the hunt for a "perfect planner" maybe some day I will find it 🤔 haha
I'm very similar to you but not always good at writing it down 😂 super helpful to see how you do it! Also, I saw Biltmore trip on your calendar!! Are you in NC too?
I am just coming across your video- I have an upcoming third grader. Do you have any kids this age, if so, how do you plan their day and what curriculum do you use?
I loved the idea of alternating one week on one week off of History / Science. This is a great tip I'm adding to my quiver!

I Love that this was straight to the point! Excellent ideas! I will be incorporating them the year!

It really has helped us a lot!
@@PenniesAndSalt I ran the idea past my very opinionated fourth grade daughter 😂 and she said “Yeah let’s try it.” 😊
