I tried it a d after one session my thumbnail was destroyed! Tape is not the answer either. Will see if I can find a thumb pick use that or modify it if need be. If that’s not gonna work I’m probably going to pass up this particular method unfortunately.

And probably longer it fepends on practice.. playing slow is the key.

Hi, I am playing this technique since some weeks, the only problem i have is that when i hit the string (whatever string) i hear the metallikc sound of the string beating on the fret, so whatever note i play it comes with a "Tac! note, Tac! note", is this normal? i dont think so by looking at how it sounds to you, i use a cheap chinese fender modern player jaguar bass, could it be because of the quality of the instrument? thx

You might be able to make the effect less noticeable with some adjustments to your EQ. Taking out some of the high end might help.
