  • It is a very common fault on these 2.0l TSI engines that the intake manifold runner breaks. If the arm that manages the runner should break inside the manifold, you can experience a large vacuum leak. These intake manifolds cannot be repaired if this happens!

Jag har samma problem…hur farligt är det om man kör utan att fixa den?

I have gotten the same code on Passat 2.0 tsi 2009. I have located a dead solenoid which should "create" vaccum to the arm which control the flaps inside the intake manifold. I will change the solenoid. I also seen that the arm can be wiggled sideways a bit, basically it pops out a few milimiters, can it be like that or is that also the problem?

Hej kul att du tittar på min kanal.
Armen ska inte kunna dras ut från insuget mer än max ca 3mm.

First do a vacuum test of vacuum pump mine was too low changed it....then if error is intermittent 2015 change exhaust solenoid valve for flap which the vacuum feeds... if says stuck open then remove vacuum pipe that goes into pcv valve..test by blowing into it if air goes both ways valve is shot and it needs to be changed...also crankcase pressure is wrong.. u will have oil spots under car. Problem solved

My tdi tiguan is backfiring through my intake manifold when I turn it off any guesses why?

Take a look at the valve train, Cam, lifters, valves. Also the EGR, but most likely not. If you have more of a pulse back it would be intake valves. Do a leak down test first, it will tell you where the leaks are or connect a smoker to each cylinder.

i changed mine as well about 2 years ago. It had a mechanical damage (no wonder, all plastic as you know). But now i get this error again, this time no visible damages. I also have a obd scanner and i did clear the error, but it comes again after couple of days, i think more and more often. So i wonder...

@@vasilyordanov4263 It can be a vacuum leakage, check the hoses. Let me know what you get.
