A lot of Iron Maiden's music is based on history, poetry, literature and war. With every song you usually either get a really cool story or a history lesson . Sometimes both lol

True Heavy Metal Giants!! Been killing it since '75 and still one of the best live today. Maiden is just so in sync with each other, but their musical backbone is bassist Steve Harris, one of the best bassists and song writers in the history of metal, and of course Bruce with his legendary vocals and stage presence. Their catalog is obviously gigantic with so many more bangers for you to discover but I do think the live en vivo performance of Fear of the Dark is a great next step. It really showcases Bruce as a performer and showman, and you get to see his incredible ability to constantly run and jump around and still sound flawless. It also has amazing crowd interaction. Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner is another great choice if you want to check out a longer story telling performance. Both really give an idea what a live show is like. Finally for one of their newer releases you should check out The Writing on the Wall. Enjoy the ride. Up the Irons!

The constant repeat, repeat, repeat of that guitar riff is both hilarious and makes you want to hear it more and more. They are unmatched in stage presence, charisma, comradery, but also how they build their music. This is a masterclass on how to craft a guitar solo and make it enjoyable for the audience. I think what I love most about Maiden is that they showcase every single member in the band. It's like they pulled parts from other bands to make a supergroup. The bass and drums are what really drive them. They have such a large catalog that you can have different emotions from song to song but all of them will leave you with a good feeling. I'd give you some suggestions but you can't go wrong with anything from them. Can't wait to see more!!!

I'll vote for Wasted Years next as my next vote, but the most popular will probably be Fear of the Dark. They are both "sic" songs. (3rd choice - Aces High). My actual next favorite is The Number of the Beast, but I don't think it will get enough votes.

Iron Maiden had 3 vocalists in their career, but Bruce Dickinson is basically the voice and frontman of the band... Blaze Bayley (vocals) replaced Dickinson in 1995 for 2 albums but fans did not accept the new singer's vocal delivery or his handling of the classic Iron Maiden songs in concert... In 1999, Bruce Dickinson returned to Iron Maiden after his solo career failed to take off.
Blaze Bayley has continued to record and tour as a solo artist since 2000 and always speaks highly of Iron Maiden.
Paul Di'Anno (vocals) gave Iron Maiden their start and recorded their first 2 albums ('Iron Maiden' in 1980 and 'Killers' in 1981) ... Di'Anno had a more punk rock-style voice which was great for Maiden in the early years, but he was burnt out from touring by '81 and parted ways w/ the band... Some of Iron Maiden's songs w/ Paul Di'Anno - 'Phantom of the Opera' ... 'Wrathchild' ... 'Remember tomorrow' ... 'Running free' ... 🤘🔥
Bruce Dickinson gave Iron Maiden a makeover in 1982 w/ their 3rd album 'The number of the beast'... and the band was elevated to one of the top heavy metal bands in the world in the 80's. Most of their best songs were w/ Dickinson on vocals:
'Wasted years' ... '2 minutes to midnight' ... 'The evil that men do' ... 'The number of the beast' ... 'Fear of the dark'... 'The Wickerman' ... 'Dance of death'... 'The reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥
One of their best songs is a 10+ minute epic track - 'Rime of the Ancient Mariner'...

My personal favorite song of theirs from my favorite Maiden album. Fear of the Dark is a must if you want to see them, and Bruce in particular at their best. There are two standout live versions to pick from, but I think the better of the two is from Rock In Rio. Up The Irons!!

I strongly urge you to revisit this song from one of their older videos. Before Bruce had his issues with his vocal cords. Not that he doesn't still slay it, because he totally does, but his voice is so clear and powerful back then. Again, I am in no way putting down his performances now. What he has been through, lost, and regained is truly remarkable.

You can react to any song off the first 5 albums and people will love it. If people request anything after those albums, react if other reactors have done the song. You get a lot of fans who will request deeper cuts that they love but aren't always the strongest songs. Most reactors will also do the songs Fear of the Dark and Rime of the Ancient Mariner, and Run to the Hills. I would recommend the song Revalations off their 4th album. It is the best song to highlight Bruce's singing ability. It also is the first Maiden song that was written solely by Bruce. Also, react to Maiden's live songs. They are one of the few bands that are better live than in studio. Enjoy.

Great song! They just kicked butt, big time. Plus this one of a few that they used historical events as the basis for an amazing song. They have many tunes to try, you might as well do Number of the Beast the title track of their breakout album. Not devil worshippers, just a great rock band doing stuff many metal bands used as subject matter for way cool tunes. Also, not your fault you were born long after this music was made, soon enough in this century no one will be alive who could have witnessed the 70s BUT the music that was made then will live on because it is that damn good, people will want to hear this stuff far in the future, 40 to 50+ years later and look at all the modern listeners tapping into great classic rock and having a ball. I see new people from all over the planet loving Led Zeppelin, no surprise at all to me who knew the first time I heard them in 1969 I would be listening to them for the rest of my life. Here I am in 2024 and still banging my head to Dazed and Confused! Rock On and enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶

Hi Ola another enjoyable reaction to the best heavy metal band in the world in my humble opinion, as for your next reaction I think you would enjoy Wasted Years, Fear of the Dark, or Number of the Beast.
