I dunno...I've got almost 800W RMS in my vehicle and about 4 times that in my 2 channel/home theater hybrid system...lots of folks around me have to hear what I listen to sometimes... A little louder isn't enough :)
Bruce Dickinson has an amazing philosophy about singing, particularly vocals in heavy metal. He was quoted in an interview a couple of years ago that, “you can learn an awful lot from babies. I mean, the racket that comes out of that tiny little thing. And it goes on forever - they don’t lose their voice, do they, ever? Babies have got no fear of just letting rip with all their diaphragm and everything. And they’ve got these tiny little lungs. My God, they make an amazing noise. So you think about that, and you think when people say, “Oh, I cant sing.” Oh, yes you can - you’ve just forgotten how to do it.”
@@thatpointinlife there's nothing unusual in bands mastering their technical perfection with time. But Bruce, Adrian, Dave, Janick and Steve still have enough stamina to speed around the stage like 20-yo's... There IS something Eddie'sh aboiut these guys, no doubt about that... :)

Yeah, and even went through a tongue cancer on the way and had to learn to speak again after the surgery, let alone sing. Maybe Bruce is actually Ed? Some kind of beast at least...
Bruce is actually a world class athlete: during the Maiden years in the 1980s, he was actually one of the best fencers in the world. He didn't make the Olympics, but he was certainly highly ranked enough to be in the discussion. Its no wonder he can maintain his vocal strength while engaging in a higher degree of physicality than you normally see out of a rock singer.
Bruce Dickinson said Rime of the Ancient Mariner is his favorite song to perform live. It's a long one, but would like to see you're reaction to that one.
3 guitars playing on target with just slightly different tone - amazing. Adrian coming back and Janick staying have made Maiden even more awesome. Dave and Steve keeping it down and Bruce singing like an air raid siren. Such an absolute pleasure to have been a fan for just shy of 4 decades now. Can't imagine life without Maiden...
If you listen to Bruce's voice from his years at Samson until today, you will realize that his vocals are maturing year by year. What makes him the best metal singer is his passion and persistence in becoming better and for this reason he has been able to catch notes in his voice over the years that other singers fail to catch. All this in combination with the enchanting music that Steve Harris writes in his songs made Iron Maiden the best band in the world!

Bruce Dickinson still is one of the best metal vocalists out there and he's in his 60s and has been at it since the 70s. BTW, this was a pretty subdued performance by him. Normally he's much more active on stage. Running around, jumping, climbing on stuff, hitching a ride on the camera, that kind of thing. According to him he often practices singing while riding a bike to prepare himself for the physical exertion of being on stage. BTW his solo stuff is excellent as well, like Tears of the Dragon or Accident of Birth. Very different from Maiden, though, in many regards. Like Accident of Birth hits much harder. Also much dirtier, see Dive, Dive, Dive. BTW Maiden had two guitarists for most of their existence. Then Bruce and Adrian Smith left and they got replacement for both. When Bruce and Adrian returned to Maiden they simply kept the "replacement" guitar player and continued with three guitars.
I have been a Maiden fan since 1980. I remember when the number of the beast came out and I was blown away by Bruce. Not to knock Paul Dianno, but Bruce took them to the next level. The entire band is awesome but Bruce was just what they needed
I know Adrian left but didn't Janek Gers play w Bruce on his solo stuff? I could be wrong, but I remember Bruce bringing him on for Fear of the Dark, then Blaze replaced Bruce for 2 records, Bruce came back and the final lineup was in place for Brave New World...maybe? @@jcass1970 Janick Gers did play guitar on Bruce's first solo album but that was recorded while Bruce was still with Iron Maiden. He left, Adrian left with him and went on to play on Bruces solo stuff along with Roy Z. It took him some time though and the guitarist on Bruce's second album was Alex Dickson. Maiden hired Janick as replacement for Adrian - and now they have a triple attack of Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers. And yes, that happened before the Brave New World album.
I love how into the music she gets, too. Years ago, Bruce was referred to as a "vocal air raid siren". He was even better back in the 80s! If you haven't already, you should check out Iron Maiden's "Aces High"!
While The Trooper is an awesome song, it's just really straight forward full blast. Dearest RRRRRRRRebecca, another masterful reaction. Digging the wavy hair today (I'm just jealous because I've got bugger all). If I was to give a personal view on the abilities of one Mr Bruce Dickinson as a singer-I would say that when he was on top of his game he was possibly the best male vocalist out there. He has however suffered numerous problems that were in no small part due to his singing too much on the edge of his range and being involved in a band that toured almost constantly during the eighties and early nineties. His vocal range was so badly diminished by around 1988 that he was painful to listen to in the live setting. He later seemed to adopt a totally diferent singing style and after a spell away from Iron Maiden-came back and was hitting notes that he couldn't hit when he was 15 years younger. He is still performing today and there is a degree of degradation to his abilities but they are more to do with the natural ageing process rather than poor technique.
@@Samurai_Stoner The Tokyo Tales crowd haven't missed a single chorus since 2007. Last time I saw them, I tried to get the chant going, but they're not so well known or revered in the UK. Outside of the festivals, at least.

Such an amazing level of detail. Easier to catch on the studio version ofc but anyone else realize when he hits the lyrics for “the bugle sounds the charge begins” … THe-chARGe Be-GINssss. His pace and his vocal notes are matching the actual military bugle call
I’ve seen Iron Maiden 3 times over the years live the first time was the somewhere in time tour in the 90s then in the 2000 for the fear of the dark and last was last year for the legacy of the beast tour and his voice has not changed much over the years hearing them now doing the old songs are still amazing
I have NO idea how I missed video on your Sha-nnel! Iron Maiden is a band I've admired for many years, since seeing them on the Powerslave Tour in '85. Thanks for the vid, hope you are well Ms. RRRRebecca.
It would be interesting to see you do a case study on a singer throughout their career, so taking a song like Aces High by Iron Maiden and see the difference in Bruce's performances over decades. Just a thought. Also loving the back drop in your studio / area. Keep reacting and singing. :)

I always get a greater appreciation for the music I love from listening to your responses. Your remark about the "bro-mance igniting on stage" literally made me LOL! :) Thank you Rebecca!!
You got a completely different era of Iron Maiden on this song than you did in hallowed be thy name. That previous video, I would bet, was recorded in either 1983 or 1984. I know the Trooper was filmed in 1999 or later (probably later), as the band had three guitarists. That only happened in 1999 and after. I will tell you that Bruce Dickinson and, really all of the band were over 50 whenever this was recorded. Yet, they still sound great. Plus, as I said, no more than five weeks ago, 09/04/2021, they put out a new cd. They are good at any age, but playing this kind of music at over 60, is unbelievable.

This band are so tight live. Locked in for the whole show. They change your life when you see them live! Love the reactions.
Blind Guardian-The Bard Song/Valhalla live at Waken. Ever hear a choir with 75,000 people?

Deliverance... Why've you ever forgotten me?
Legend says they are still singing
@@Samurai_Stoner The Tokyo Tales crowd haven't missed a single chorus since 2007.
Last time I saw them, I tried to get the chant going, but they're not so well known or revered in the UK. Outside of the festivals, at least.
No no no, not the Wacken version.
The singer, Bruce Dickinson, is known as a polymath. Not only a consummate performer, but a world-class fencer, and an airline pilot. He flies Maiden's tour jet around the world. I've been a fan since the early 80's, and he's better live now than he was back then.
"Shaaaroooon!" That got me straight away. Good to hear your voice again dear lady. Thanks for this one.
Not trying to be naughty; but I swear I totally thought she was about to say "oh my gosh! If you can't appreciate a good nimble finger...." 😳🤣😂🤣😂
This guys are in their mid-sixties...
Holy smoke
This concert was 2011 though
meganega123 so they were in their mid-fifties... still impressive
I've lived in filth, I've lived in sin and I still smell cleaner than the sh*t you're in
He has been singing for decades, IM are rock legends and yes, they deserve to be heard full volume...you got into the feel..
If you want to hear audience participation at an Iron Maiden gig seek out Fear of the Dark (live)
Honestly, you'll love it I'm sure
Good recommendation
In Argentina 🇦🇷♥️🤘🏻
Always enjoy watching your analysis. New set up is much better. Lighting is wonderful! Thank you RVA😚
We all remember Rock in Rio back in 2001....band and fans all in one....it just is!!
I actually saw them a few days before this concert in São Paulo. Bruce sang just perfect
How about a reaction to the band Boston. “More Than A Feeling” or “Hitch A Ride” or “Something About You”? You’ll be blown away by Brad Delp the lead singer.
Congrats on the Golden Button Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrbecca. Proud of you and so very much deserved. Bruce is the king of 80s metal vocals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rebecca remember these blokes are in their 60's and 70's they can out perform many "artists" in their 20's
Such an amazing level of detail. Easier to catch on the studio version ofc but anyone else realize when he hits the lyrics for “the bugle sounds the charge begins” … THe-chARGe Be-GINssss. His pace and his vocal notes are matching the actual military bugle call
"I find that with certain music you have to have it at a certain decibel." Couldn't agree more :)
I’ve seen Iron Maiden 3 times over the years live the first time was the somewhere in time tour in the 90s then in the 2000 for the fear of the dark and last was last year for the legacy of the beast tour and his voice has not changed much over the years hearing them now doing the old songs are still amazing
In another genre of music these guys would be knighted. Over 40 years of World dominating music
It's also worth pointing out that these chaps are all in their 60's! Just an amazing energetic performance, night after night!
Hey guys, after all of this metal reactions we made her do, do you think that we will ever get a headbang from Rebecca? 😆
I have NO idea how I missed video on your Sha-nnel! Iron Maiden is a band I've admired for many years, since seeing them on the Powerslave Tour in '85. Dickinson and the band are incredible musicians! Still a lot of showmanship considering the ages, still amazing after all these years. Loved the reaction to Dave Murray shredding.
I have seen them live about 6 times and I never get enough of them!
If you combine Iron Maiden's motto with Metallica's, you get "Metal Up the Irons" 😎
Iced Earth is a band who is highly influenced by Iron Maiden....
Not only a very unknown and GREAT band, their singer Matt Barlow is off the charts!!!!
If you give them a listen, make sure you do with Matt Barlow b/c they've had a few different vocalists!!!!
Masterpiece 🎸 solo going on
Rebecca: hey what's he doing over there
Lmfao
I absolutely love this band and The Trooper is the first Iron Maiden song I learned to play way back in the day. Turn it up!
"let it sit in me and pulsate" LOL. You crack me up.
Love that many of this show (vocal teachers) turn their thoughts to this kind of music, metal heads are very more compicated in so many levels
Your Ozzy impression killed me 😂
Sharooon :D
62 year old cancer survivor, Bruce Dickinson, is one of metal's most, talented and iconic vocalists! ONE of the GREATS! Up the Irons! \m/ \m/
And yes, lovely Miss Rebecca, the musicianship from Adrian, Dave, Jannick, Nico and Steve is 'par excellance'!
Iron Maiden in Chile! I was there ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
Viva Chilee!
I always get a greater appreciation for the music I love from listening to your responses. Your remark about the "bro-mance igniting on stage" literally made me LOL! :) Thank you Rebecca!!
The Irons should be played at 11 ;)
The singing is great. The musicians are incredible.
The person was dubbed "Air Raid Siren" for a reason RVA.
When you listen to Iron Maiden, you can only appreciate their talent. HANDS DOWN up the Iron 🔥🤘🏻
"But i swear he was doing lunges?" So, he have a problem with high notes?
It sometimes seems to force the sound.
I saw Iron Maiden and Rammstien at Paris Download a few years ago.Oh my GOD!!!!👍
That concert was in my country, Chile 🇨🇱, in 2011 april 10... I was last year in the concert on the same stadium. We love Maiden and always fill the entire stadium or wherever they presented here.
Greetings from 🇨🇱
Bruce is a machine. That is so impressive.
