@myeshaspeaks1 WELCOME TO THE BEE GEES’ RABBIT HOLE!! I just subscribed to your channel. They are brothers (The Brothers Gibb). Barry (in the middle, is the oldest. And yes, I had a crush on him back in the day even though he’s been married to the same woman for almost 54 years today). The other two (Robin & Maurice) are fraternal twins. They had a younger brother (Andy Gibb) who had a great solo career. He was too young to join his older brothers at that time. The Bee Gees were big in the Black Community back in the day. Please react to more! Here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: Too Much Heaven (R&B) Went to #1 YOU JUST DID THIS ONE! How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard), went to #1 Staying Alive (disco), went to #1 Night Fever (disco), went to #1 You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco), went to #1 Fanny be tender with my love (R&B). Quincy Jones said this was his favorite R&B song. It’s a favorite of mine too. Jive Talking (R&B), went to #1 Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk)..you’ll hear the brothers “natural” voices in this song. Tragedy (Techno? Pop) It also went #1 More than a woman (Disco/R&B) One of the best love songs ever made! Love you inside out (Funk/pop), went to #1 To love somebody (R&B) One of their earlier hits, from 1967!!! You’ll see how young they were. Massachusetts (pop/country), went to #1 Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special or live from their 1979 Spirits tour. They sing in their natural voices on this song. Alone (pop): One of the songs they made late in their career. Love So Right (R&B), One of Barry’s best falsetto songs ever. Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour). Barry pours his heart out on this song and they show his wife & son on screen some while he was performing it. Lonely Days (pop). One of the first songs they wrote after they got back together when they briefly broke up in 1969 then got back together in 1970 to write this. You Win Again (pop), If you want to hear some 80’s Bee Gees, this is a good one. Went #1 in the UK Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B). The other song they wrote when they first got back together after a brief breakup. It was also their first #1 in the US Kiss of Life (rock). Shows a diverse side of them. One (pop), their last top 10 hit in the US Wedding Day (pop), a single they wrote for their wives! All of them had been married for a while. Barry is will married to this day to Linda for over 53 years! Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country). Shows diversity! Bodyguard (R&B), Robb really shines on this song that could have been played on any R&B radio station! For Whom the Bell Tolls (pop), again, Robin shines on this one. Blue Island - live (pop). This song shows the perfect blend & harmony the brothers have. Especially if you do the acoustic one. Just the 3 of them with 2 guitars! Our Love, Don't Throw it all away-Bee Gee's or Andy's version (pop). After their brother Andy passed, they started performing this during shows in honor of him. Secret Love (pop). I love the best to this song! Barry & Robin leads. This is Where I Came in (live) (pop). From the very last CD they ever released. There is a live version out there from a tv show. That's a great one to see how they have evolved into the 2000's! The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor). This is a little long (over 12 min), but they go through about 7-9 songs in this medley with just the 3 of them around 1 mic either Barry in the guitar.

Top reaction! You would love How Deep is your Love, Fanny be tender with my love, Jive Talking, You Win Again....there are about 1000 over 40 plus years. They wrote all of their own songs for themselves and lots of hits for others. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is the Brothers Gibb!😊
Can never go wrong with the Bee Gee's.. A little b4 my generation but I love them, my children love them.. hoping my grandkids do too.. They were amazing. RIP Robin and Maurice... and Andy too

@@myeshaspeaks1 - Yes, it’s truly amazing! No one but Sir Paul McCartney wrote more hits songs than Sir Barry Gibb and his little brothers! Google “Bee Gees songs written for other people”, and look at THAT list. Barry and Michael Jackson wrote one together called “All In Your Name” that’s really good. He was one of Barry’s best friends and godfather to one of his sons, Michael.
This is just me but this is the real Bee Gee's. From the 60's to everything before Disco Staying Alive. Their early music like this was amazing. From the heart.
One in the middle is Barry Gibb doing leads with his late brothers: Robin (long hair without beard died in 2012) and Maurice aka Mo died in 2003) as Brothers Gibb aka Bee Gees. Barry is lone Bee Gee. During their 50+ years career, brothers wrote songs for them and other artists such as Barbara Streisand total over 1,000 songs. Brothers started out very young in their adopted country of Australia back in late 1950's. Brothers also had a younger brother named Andy Gibb who sadly died way too soon in 1988 at 30 of age.

Just found your channel and from one proud boomer, I love your reaction and your energy! I have been a fan of the BeeGees since the 60s. A couple of facts about them: In the 60s, they took turns on lead. Maurice and Robin are twins. BeeGees were named bc it's the "Brothers Gibb." They have a younger brother, Andy Gibb, who had hits in the 80s. Check him out - Shadow Dancing

I am a black female, and I listen to this song every day. It was released 1978. I was married 1977. If it had been released in 1977, it would have been one of the songs in my wedding. A little background. Barry Gibb (middle) September 1, 1946. He and his wife Linda have been married for 53 years. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren. Barry's chest is shiny with blotches because when he was about 18 months, he pulled a pot of hot tea from off of a table. His mom said he didn't speak for a long time (close to 2 years.) He was close to dying because there was no skin grafting back then and gangrene was beginning to set in. Barry said he has no memory of it happening, just the scars to prove. Robin (on our left - long hair) and Maurice (on our right - short hair) were fraternal twins. Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) heart attack, while having surgery for twisted intestines. Survived by wife and 2 adult children. Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) doctors found out he had the same intestinal problems as Maurice. When they went in to fix it, they found cancer. He is survived by his wife and 4 adult children. Andy Gibb (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) He was too young to sing with his brothers. He had his own successful career. He and Barry could have been identical twins. He had a bad heart. Andy is survived by one daughter. You know the song 'Emotion' sung by Destiny's Child? Well --- the brothers wrote the song (1977) for the singer Samantha Sang. (IMO) Destiny's Child has too much drama in it. But Barry said he liked it. Emotion ruclips.net/video/b_wTZjo9azk/видео.htmlsi=Y863cKzsfSsxKiTP They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for a lot of other artists. Barry didn't always sing in falsetto. They were asked if someone could sing falsetto on a song. Barry volunteered, and the rest is history. Robin sings falsetto too. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. She lives a quiet life. She and Barry are the last two survivors of the family. (Their parents are deceased also.) Maurice passed away on Lesley's 58th birthday. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs. There's so much to write about them. Hey I got a little treat for you to listen to check out a cappella group called HOMEFREE doing their version of “End of the Road” by Boys to Men
@myeshaspeaks1
WELCOME TO THE BEE GEES’ RABBIT HOLE!!
Here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under:
Too Much Heaven (R&B) Went to #1 YOU JUST DID THIS ONE!
How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard), went to #1
Staying Alive (disco), went to #1
Night Fever (disco), went to #1
You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco), went to #1
Fanny be tender with my love (R&B). Quincy Jones said this was his favorite R&B song. It’s a favorite of mine too.
Jive Talking (R&B), went to #1
Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk)..you’ll hear the brothers “natural” voices in this song.
Tragedy (Techno? Pop) It also went #1
More than a woman (Disco/R&B) One of the best love songs ever made!
Love you inside out (Funk/pop), went to #1
To love somebody (R&B) One of their earlier hits, from 1967!!! You’ll see how young they were.
Massachusetts (pop/country), went to #1
Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special or live from their 1979 Spirits tour.
Went #1 in the UK
Run to Me (pop)
How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B). The other song they wrote when they first got back together after a brief breakup. It was also their first #1 in the US
Kiss of Life (rock). Shows a diverse side of them.
One (pop), their last top 10 hit in the US
Wedding Day (pop), a single they wrote for their wives!
@@Sandra6411 You’re awesome! Thanks for the suggestions and the support. I have some more videos already backlogged but I’ll definitely add these to the rotation.

@@bettyartis3648 Thank you! I’m excited to check out more of their songs 😊
I was like 11 when this song came out. We all had a crush on Barry. The one in the middle.
I can see why. He is so dreamy. I never realized it before lol
Some of us still have a crush on Barry!☺️

Fanny Be Tender With My Love.
Love You Inside Out.
Nights On Broadway. Tragedy.
Jive Talkin.
How Deep Is Your Love.
@@kathieovercash8414 I will check these out!
Try 'How Deep Is Your Love' for a sample of their regular voices. A 5 decade career, over 1,000 songs written for themselves and around 100 for some of the top voices in 3 decades...enjoy!
I’ve been hearing a lot about this song - can’t wait to give it a listen! I also didn’t know until today that they wrote so many popular songs
Aww, wow I didn’t know that. That’s so amazing. I’m liking them more and more
Giving it a 9 is disappointing.
Listen to it again and again and it’ll be an 11!
@@kodakampo-bo7zs - You replied to me instead of commenting to myesha.
This is just me but this is the real Bee Gee's. From the 60's to everything before Disco Staying Alive.
Their early music like this was amazing. From the heart.
The Bee Gees at the height of their powers!
Try the song alone titled alone by the Bee Gees I believe you’ll love it
I’ll add it to the list 😊
One in the middle is Barry Gibb doing leads with his late brothers: Robin (long hair without beard died in 2012) and Maurice aka Mo died in 2003) as Brothers Gibb aka Bee Gees. Barry is lone Bee Gee. During their 50+ years career, brothers wrote songs for them and other artists such as Barbara Streisand total over 1,000 songs. Brothers started out very young in their adopted country of Australia back in late 1950's. Brothers also had a younger brother named Andy Gibb who sadly died way too soon in 1988 at 30 of age.
@@MrTech226 Aw what a sad story. Thanks for this information. I love learning about them in all the comments
the were from england borls on the isle of man, and lived in manchester, they moved to australia, because the boys were getting into lots of trouble
Australia wasn't their adopted country. The brothers kept their British citizenship. One of them is even buried in his homeland.
Try one of their earlier hits (1968) "I Started A Joke." Robin is the lead singer in that one, and it just might surprise you!!!!
Interesting - I’ll check it out, thanks!

No Lip sync, no auto tune, just pure talent!
Exactly, it's lovely! That's not so common anymore
It's also 9 layers of vocals, most with just Barry.🎼
What do you mean no lip sync lol??
@@spencerantoniomarlen-starr3069 - There wasn’t, they were singing along with their own voices, adding harmonies that weren’t on the recording…that’s not lip syncing.

Just found your channel and from one proud boomer, I love your reaction and your energy! I have been a fan of the BeeGees since the 60s. A couple of facts about them:
In the 60s, they took turns on lead.
Maurice and Robin are twins.
BeeGees were named bc it's the "Brothers Gibb."
They have a younger brother, Andy Gibb, who had hits in the 80s. Check him out - Shadow Dancing
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed. I’ll check out your suggestions!
Wrote all their own songs and also hits for other artists. You would enjoy How deep is your love, Love you inside out, Nights on Broadway (1975 midnight special) and Fanny be tender with my love. They donated all proceeds to Unicef. ❤❤❤❤Love your reaction
I have one of those songs in the pipeline right now so stay tuned😉. I’m glad you enjoyed!

Emotion ruclips.net/video/b_wTZjo9azk/видео.htmlsi=Y863cKzsfSsxKiTP
They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for a lot of other artists.
In your spare time, I think you'll like what they have contributed to the music industry.
