Yes, the car is a metaphor for a fast woman. girl! He was a good dancer! Honestly, he is the best LIVE performer ever to hit the stage . He is his own genre! He does it all….. You should go down the Prince rabbit hole.
Oh, I definitely will be going down the rabbit hole after seeing his dancing lol
The GOAT
INDEED!
A musical legend that could do it all.
Yes indeed!
What a showman! Ah, the Big 80s were a sight to behold. Never forget it.
For sure!
Great reaction!! Interesting, funny, you are good at this!!
Awww, thank you so much! That means a lot to me 😊
Love this song. How I was introduced to him. Great to dance to.
Better late (to the Party), than never attending.
lol, very true!
Yes Prince could REALLY REALLY DANCE! WATCH SIGN OF THE TIMES MOVIE! YOU WILL SEE HIS DANCING SKILLS AND WATCH HIM PLAY A FEW DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTS TOO! Yes he compared her to a fast, pretty car because she was a fast girl! As far as Rock and roll yes but his funk was awesome too! He kinda combined rock hip hop, pop, funk, and R&B into one sound and that was THE PRINCE SOUND! The song controversy is an example of his combination!
Who knew a song about a promiscuous woman could be so flattering lol but as far as the “Prince sound” goes, I completely understood what you mean! I listened to more of his songs after this and definitely heard the “funk”. I’m excited to listen and react to more of his stuff. 😊
Great video!
You’re doing it, gal. 👊🏾
You got a lot to review with Prince.
I know! That’s what everybody’s telling me in the comments. I’m looking forward to it, though!
Prince great performances live:
Prince rapping mtv music awards 1991song “gett Off”
Prince performs a melody with guests 2005 Naccp image awards
Prince performs the funky”DMSR” musicology tour 2004 live in Detroit.
Prince being a rock god as the rock and roll hall of fame “while my guitar gentle weeps.” 2004
Her name was Ming Lee. She is black but her parents gave her a Chinese name. He wrote the song out of jealousy and misunderstanding. She said if she would have caught up with him when that song was out, the fight would have been on because he had people thinking that she was walking around with used condoms in her pockets.😂😂😂
🤣 Dang, he did Ming dirty lol
Your late sweetie. He could go from a spilt to jumping up and touching his feet in the air. That's how he hurt his knees which whyvhe took pain killers which led to his demise.rip. yes she was a little red corvette.
Oh wow, that’s sad to hear!
@@myeshaspeaks1 yes, he was a musical genius.
Prince had hits in 1979 the 89’s the 90’s and 200’s up to his death in 2016. He release an album or 2 every year except 1983 and 2011 to 2014
Oh wow, I didn’t know that. That’s really impressive!
Micheal Jackson, who most young people are very familiar with, was great at singing, dancing and performing. Prince , someone who most young people seem not to familiar with other than having heard of him, took it further than that, he could write the song, play every instrument in the studio, sing it, sing the background, mix it, then go on stage live and perform it like no one else….
Wow, he was amazing! I have to do more research on Prince
Yes, Prince could do it all. Sing, dance, play instruments, write, and produce all in heels.
Oh, I'm an 80's movie fan, too, I love all the John Hughes/Brat Pack movies. So have you seen St. Elmo's Fire? That one has Rob Lowe, and his character is trifling in that one, lol.
Yes, I have seen St. Elmo’s fire. It’s one of my favorites. I had an 80s/Brat Pack obsession in high school 😂 and yes, Rob Lowe was very trifling in that movie lol
I remember when he first came out. You're talking about the musician's musician. Big names from just about every genre you could name deeply admired and respected him. He played around 30 instruments extremely well.
He was so focused and so good, Warner Brothers signed him when he was 19yo! Even more remarkable was that he composed, wrote, produced, played all the instruments, sang all the parts, then mixed and mastered all the music in his early album. His rate and quality of creativity was off the charts.
As for this song, this seems like the radio edit bc the actual song is longer than this. In fact, many songs that you get in his videos are shortened to fit the radio format.
In this video, you're getting only a very small taste of what he could do! Put him in front of a crowd with his band, The Revolution or The New Power Generation, and you'll see what he can really do when he takes the stage!
Watch his performance of America tha5 he does live in Paris, October 1985. One warning: STRAP IN!
After you watch it, ask yourself, who else is doing anything close as he sings, dances, plays 2 or 3 different instruments, commands his band, and injects lightening into the crowd! Who?
Wow, that really impressive! I’ve been hearing in the comments how amazing he was and can’t wait to watch some more of his stuff - specifically his live performances.
@myeshaspeaks1 Prince and his band LOVED TO JAM!!! His actual recordings would be as long as 10-12 minutes long!
Check out his performance of America in Paris!

@@myeshaspeaks1 Here's another hit he wrote and produced for Sheila E., one of his proteges, called A Love Bizarre:

Here's an extended cut of Mountains from Christopher Tracey's Parade Album. This album followed Around the World In A Day:

With each album that he released, he reinvented himself. He had a different theme that resonated in his fashion choices and the overarching mode of the music.
Prince's live performances are spectacular. You should check out his cover of "Motherless Child" as well as his performances of "Let's Go Crazy" and "Purple Rain" from the 1985 Syracuse concert. There's a piano medley from his"Lovesexy" tour and an acoustic version of "Cream" that are worth checking out as well.
Ooh, I will definitely check it out!
Dancing like that would cause him leg and hip problems later in life.
Aww that sucks!
It wasn’t just that, he was also jumping down from the big speakers onto the stage most nights in concerts wearing his heals..
Ouch! He was on another level.
One does not simply react to Prince. 1.....2......3......and its gone.
The song was about this girl name Mai Ling she very beautiful and popular in Minnesota, jockees was jocks she knew a lot of famous athletes.
if I'm not mistaken......... "Little Red Corvette" is Prince literally refering 2 a woman's womanhood (best way I can put it)........."I'm gonna tryta tame your little red luv machine"..........."Trojans & sum of em used"
That’s possible! I heard a lot of stories in the comments so I don’t know what’s true lol I’m gonna look it up
Girl you are super cute!
Aww, thank you! 😊
he said she had a pocket full of trojans and some of them used. my question is why is she still carrying arouns used trojans?
Lmao that was my exact thought! Just nasty 🤣
Wow, this must be one of the very few Prince videos I saw on RUclips where nobody has (up to this point) written in the comments: "Prince is the only man who could wear high heels and steal your girl."
As a genderqueer person I can tell you: It's not about stealing (why tf do these comments always say stealing?). First of all. And second: It's not true anyways. If you don't understand why people have such a narrow view on what is considered masculine, just embrace it and do it with confidence. I can assure you a lot of people will like it.
And of course: Great reaction. Loved watching your video. :)
Lol now my comment section is gonna be flooded with those comments 😂 jk. Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it!
@@myeshaspeaks1 I hope you are going to watch a few more Prince videos on your channel. :) Maybe the Super Bowl Half Time Show or Prince's live version of "Nothing Compares 2 U" (Prince actually wrote this song).
Oh wow, didn’t know he did the Super Bowl. I’ll add it to my list. I’m definitely going to react to more Prince - I have A LOT to catch up on
React to Tina Turner the best official music video
I’ll consider it! Tina is on my list. :)
New subscriber, can you react to “prince I want to be your lover”video thanks
I’ll add it to my list 😊
Why are young people so musically deprived?
I think it’s more so that we’re ignorant. I didn’t grow up listening to a lot of this stuff because it wasn’t targeted to me. I know a few old school songs but this wasn’t my era. Better late than never though, right?
@@myeshaspeaks1 right. To a certain degree. Because we were teen musicians in the 60s we listened to iconic jazz recordings from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. They are considered jazz classics today but they we were never popular during our time . We also loved new Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, et. all. So much rich creativity going on in night clubs and concert theaters in the seventies you couldn’t even believe it today. For $4-$7 a ticket you could see the biggest bands ever. Everything was live . No computers. No autotune.
So, I don’t think it’s ignorance so much as culture and music appreciation for the things that we craved. Not trends. Not phony posers.
This is also very true! I’m honestly really excited to go back in time and listen to all the classics and great songs that I wasn’t exposed to 😊
You r extremely late 2 the party😂
@@vinceblack4086 Thanks for rubbing it in 🤣
